5 out of 5 eggsPerfect

Pros: Just about everything, but how the ears wear made. 7.1 is really no joke, yes there is little to no bass, but the less bass a headsets has the clearer it is. I've never used any headsets that were better, I've used the 2100 Corsair, Kraken Pros and Siberia v2 and nothing has really come close to how good these are.

Cons: Its true that it maybe uncomfortable the first few time you put it on but you need to break the bad boys in. It may take a week or 4 months, but when you break them in they are really perfect.

Other Thoughts: I bought them when they first came out for 300$ and they are still working today without a problem. I am buying them again because it was 60$ for the best headsets I've ever used.

5 out of 5 eggsHard to Beat

Pros: For price to performance, at $99, this can not be beat by anything on the market. It blows them all away. Sounds is amazing, mic is amazing, construction is rugged. I was worried by reviews but rolled the dice and am highly pleased.

Cons: For me, they are comfortable. I have a more narrow head. I can see this hurting for someone with a rounder head than my own. I wear a size. 7.25 and the headphones fit me comfortably, even with my Nike glasses with soft plastic frames.

Other Thoughts: Worth it all the way. Even if they were uncomfortable I'd be hard pressed not to have these. For the price, they simply can't be outdone by anything.

2 out of 5 eggsGood quality, bad design

Pros: good quality, well made.

Cons: This is an on the ear headset not over the ear, extremely uncomfortable to use, if you have large ears and a big head, don't even think about buying this headset. This set might have been design for people with little ears and small head, I've used on the ear headset over the years but this is the worst.

Other Thoughts: I ended up returned this product and wasted $25 + my time(shipping and re-stocking fee), spent a little more money and bought a Sennheiser HD 380 pro

3 out of 5 eggsHeavy, but impressive realism

Pros: Everything sounds so real. With VOIP, sounds like the other people talking are inside your skull. Really well constructed.

Cons: Quite heavy and not as cushioned around the ears.
Normal price is probably 3x too high.

Other Thoughts: Got this for my wife who, against all odds, has become an avid MMOFPS player. My current point of reference is my Fatal1ty headset. When I switch over to her GameCom Commander I am struck by the weight of the whole thing. I can feel it pushing on the top of my head, pulling down on the skin around my ears, and pushing a little bit on my ears from the outside. That is compared to the Fatal1ty which is on-ear and very cushioned.

But as soon as someone shoots or talks, the real difference comes through -- voices in your head so clear you might think your are just schizophrenic, and other sounds really full and cleanly expressed.

I'm not an audiophile, but for what it's worth I would certainly consider these if they were deeply discounted again, on the strength of quality sound and construction.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat But Has Some Design Flaws

Pros: Very Sturdy Materials
Awesome Carrying Case

Cons: Not Very Comfortable
Headband Adjustments are Loose
Very Heavy Materials

Other Thoughts: I saw these headphone mentioned in Maximum PC magazine and they stated how great the quality was but also how expensive they were, at the time, $300. Later I was shopping for new headphones and saw these here for $60! I quickly looked for information about users reviews. Didn't see much information except for how uncomfortable they were, how uncomfortable I didn't find out.

I ordered them, received them and started to use them for my racing sims. I noticed right away that the padding wasn't very thick so my ears were directly on the inside speaker. After a couple days, my ears were starting to hurt! I will have to add more padding to the earphones so my ears won't be jammed on the speaker. Also the earphones are so heavy that now the band adjustments are loose so I'm constantly having to adjust them back. They creep down as I'm racing. I usually race between 1-2 hours at a time.

1 out of 5 eggsHorrible Headset!

Pros: The only pro about this headset is the mic.

Cons: The sound is horrible. i compared it to my corsair hs1 and corsair 1500. it doesn't even come close to the clear sound or positioning audio with dolby. The headphones are so tiny that it pressed on my ears the whole time using them and became a headache to game with. I dropped guns to the right of my character in game and it didnt even sound like it was on my right side. so dissapointed. not even a driver download for these headphones from plantronics

Other Thoughts: I had really high hopes for this product especially since i got them at a good price for 60 bucks but its still not worth it for me. Save yourself the headache and dont even try these out.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat headset for the sale price and small ears

Pros: Picked these up on Shell Shocker for $65. I read extensively all of the bad reviews because of how tight they felt they were or how they hurt their ears. I have a big head but littler ears and I can wear them all day no problem. Play CS:GO, ESO, Titanfall lately and have no problem with comfort. Sound amazing, mic is great, for the $65 prize tag these are a steal. Modular cables feels comfortable, free USB sound card, heavy duty case all pros.

Cons: These would never be worth their original $300 price tag. They're great, but not THAT great. I would say anything less than $100-$120 is a good buy.

Other Thoughts: I guess I'm the unpopular opinion. I wanted to post this because I took the chance after all the "uncomfortable" based reviews and I can truly say, maybe it's just if you have big ears, because they're not uncomfortable to me.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great clear sound. Very good sound isolation. Great build quality.

Cons: Somewhat uncomfortable after 1 hour compared to regular computer headsets, but understandable due to sound insulation.

Other Thoughts: At the price paid they are unbeatable and would give them 5+ eggs.
Comfort level was better once the "game con" add on was removed from the headband.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat headset at the lower price

Pros: Okay, first off I bought this headset for $60.00 off Newegg.

In this price range, and in this price class, they are hands down the best headset you can get. Nothing else in this price range will remotely come close (Creative Tactic Sigmas, Turtle Beach, Corsair 1400, etc...). Maybe in comfort, but not in sound quality or Mic quality.

For reference, I also use some high end Sennheiser headphones, and Audio Technicas (both in the $300.00+ range).

It's a little unfair comparing this headset to pure audio headphones, but I will compare it to other headsets I've used like the Razor Kraken Pro, Corsair 1500, Creative Sigmas, Logitech 430, Steelseries Siberia V2, CM Sirus (5.1), and probably some other ones I'm forgetting.

Honestly, at $60.00, this headset is in a class comparable to gaming headsets in the $100.00 or $120.00 range. Gaming headsets in this range are usually not worth it as you can get some closed can Headphones with decent soundscape for a little more, but they would be much higher quality than "gaming" headsets. Some people would recommend the Audio Technica AD700s (they are open can though), with Mic mod. Some people will swear by the M50s, but I personally think they have a poor soundscape.

That being said, I love these headsets. I really can't complain as for $60.00, they give you a phone cable, hard shell case, fancy travel clasp, USB Soundcard, and the Headphones themselves are pro-grade durable. The soundscape is noticable (I use a high end soundcard for 3.5mm). However, if you don't have a high end soundcard the Dolby Soundcard USB connector is servicable and the 7.1 is decent.

Again, at $60.00, and even around $80.00, the headset will be best in its class.

Cons: The biggest, and most noticable con here is the comfort of the headset. I lucked out as the headset for me is actually not that bad, but it's not as comfortable as using some headsets with cloth earings.

It's okay, but this will be the number one complaint.

Also, the headset does look a little ugly.

Other Thoughts: The biggest, and most noticable con here is the comfort of the headset. I lucked out as the headset for me is actually not that bad, but it's not as comfortable as using some headsets with cloth earings.

The lack of comfort here is how the pressure is applied to around your ears or head. Since the cup shape may put pressure "points" of your head as opposed to distributed evenly with round cups.

Also, for my friend, the headset kinda "slid" to a more open position down his head.

It's okay, but this will be the number one complaint.

Also, the headset does look a little ugly.

4 out of 5 eggsDespite the flaws; a lovely headset emerges.

Pros: I'd like to preface this with : I'm not an audiophile! I dont know much about audio at all. That being said, the headphones work great for the day to day uses that I have for them. I use them for music, videogames, movies etc. and they perform well for these things. The 6.1 surround sound is absolutely stellar, rivaled only by the sleek look and rugged build that these headphones provide.

Cons: These headsets are, put rather succinctly, uncomfortable. The period of 'breaking them in' was excruciating and while they are marginally more comfortable afterwards, they are still not a pleasure to wear. Not terribly uncomfortable past that period, theyre definitely wearable afterwards. Ive tried to tape these things in a few places to get them to fit my head properly, but to no avail. On a funny note all this does is add to the utilitarian mystique of these headphones - if you're wearing this bad boys you better be lookin' to get down to buisness.

Other Thoughts: I'm happy with them, flaws and all. Be dissuaded all you like by the discomfort claims, there's a ton of reviews about them; you could definitally find headphones with more comfort, and for the money perhaps you should. I am however extremely happy with these headphones and, with any confidence, can say that you would be too.
