4 out of 5 eggsGreat mic and sound.

Pros: The mic has an amazing clarity and quality with all sounds it picks up.
The sound is wonderful and crystal clear.
The package as a whole is a great side note to the headset itself with a beautiful case and multiple cords for whatever your needs.

Cons: This headset does tend to start hurting your ears and your head after a short time.
The adjustable head/ear sliders on the sides do not hold any form of adjustment you make, they just keep sliding.
The in-line volume and mic mute are not that far from the headset itself which means that you will most likely hear the clacking of it if you move your head while using the mic.

Other Thoughts: Keep in mind that the mic on this headset is stronger then the cheaper headsets and it will pick up every noise in the background even if you do spend hours trying to adjust the sensitivity.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat purchase

Pros: -Great headset
-Superb mic quality and amazing sound
-Nice and secure on my head

Cons: -I haven't found any so far because the maximum size of the headset fully extended fits my head the best.

Other Thoughts: Many of the other reviews say about how it is uncomfortable for their heads but it is just perfect on mine and I feel like it gets more comfortable with more use. Also I would 100% recommend this it is a lot of bang for it's cost.

4 out of 5 eggsGamecomm Commander vs Gamecom 780

Pros: The Commander and the 780 are about the same price point. I own both and am going to list the pros vs. cons between them:

Pros for Commander:

-Great carrying case.
-Debatably more stylish.
-Extremely sensitive mic (note cons).
-USB and 3.5mm compatibility.
-Better build quality w/ far sturdier headband.

780 Pros:

-Better surround sound - cleaner and more ambient also better for direction sense.
-Much louder volume.
-Mic does a FAR better job at noise cancelling
-More comfortable - softer feel on your head and MUCH more comfortable on your ears.
-'Clicky' earcup placement adjustment - they will stay where you set them.

Cons: Commander cons:

-NOT comfortable - they may break in haven't had the time with them yet. I have the tiniest ears ever and my ears DO fit inside the earcups, but they are currently very warm after only about 30 minutes wearing this set.
-Surround sound inferior - shows in Windows 7 as 'USB sound card' with only option in Windows to set as stereo. However, selecting 5.1, 7.1 etc in-game w/ USB dongle powered on does appear to give surround. However, I found selecting the same in-game option w/ USB turned off to give a clearer surround on these headphones. IMO 780 has better surround sound.
-Mic has pitiful noise cancelling capability - any sound in the entire room is picked up by the mic - note the mic DOES sound absolutely great, but I found even scratching my toe w/ my finger was being picked up by the mic, as well as every key pressed on my keyboard. 780 does a MUCH better job of cancelling noise.
-Generally regarded as uncomfortable.
-Proprietary connector made of plastic that is bound to break.
-Volume capability is truly 50% of what the 780 can output, and distorts far easier.

780 cons:

-Headband made of plastic and tends to break after a year or two.
-Requires driver to operate surround sound (though currently the headset IS supported through to Win 8).
-Microphone build quality low - many reviews give the mic quality as so-so. IMO the mic is FAR better at both pickup and noise cancelling as I used the set for over a year and no one ever heard me typing, scratching myself, etc. However, my 8 year old son put the mic in his mouth one day and it quit working.....
-Cloth earpieces do pick up dust like crazy, though they are easy to clean.

Other Thoughts: Between the two I would have to say the 780 is the far better buy due to comfort, sound quality/volume and noise cancelling quality of the mic. I have not used either headset in a high-volume location, so unsure if there is a standout in that situation. However, the 780's cloth earpieces, noise cancelling mic and better surround win hands down. The Commander does win for style points, included carrying case and multiple connection capability. Ultimately, the comfort, volume and lack of noise cancelling mic capability of the Commander leaving me wishing I had picked up another pair or 780's........

5 out of 5 eggsBest Headphones

Pros: Sound is superb, much better than the sennheizer HD 212 Pro they replaced. I tested the 7.1 UBS but found it OK but not as good as my SB card. Fit for me was very good and all adapters it came with fit all my needs. The case was a plus much more heavy duty than expected.

Cons: The only con is the weight of these compared with my other pair of cans is more then double.

Other Thoughts: I can live with the extra weight to get the great sound. These were better sounding than my Bose set up I use for listening to music and with this discount you cannot go wrong.

4 out of 5 eggsReview

Pros: Everything considered a pro is pretty much outlined on the product's page.

Cons: These headphones left me with a "heavy" feeling after wearing them for hours at a time.

I had problems keeping the headphones in one comfortable position, because they keep sliding downwards off my ears slowly over-time.

Other Thoughts: I knocked one egg off only because of my problem with the headphones sliding down, otherwise it's a great pair of headphones!

I would buy them again.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Headset but a little tight.

Pros: -Very clear mic.
-Great sound quality from a gaming headset
-Very non-linear design
-Added 7.1 virtual surround usb card for when needed.

Cons: -I have to take a star away for design functionality, while these headphones are very different and some-what cool looking the ear pieces tend to slide down no matter how you set them and the headband tends to pinch, ever so lightly but still present. They're still comfortable for me, I wear them hours on end and have no problems, so I can live with it.

Other Thoughts: When Plantronics decides to reboot these as their next flagship gaming headset, lets hope they address the design functionality. They would have a world class headset had they took a little more time with the earcups!

2 out of 5 eggsdiscomfort trumps all

Pros: Sound quality is great. Nice deep lows etc. Mic quality is also really good. It really isolates your voice. I even tried recording guitar+vocals on the same track (just to test it) and the guitar was barely picked up when just 2 feet away.

Cons: As I said, discomfort trumps all. I think people are wrongly accusing the tightness of being the cause. The tightness allows for good sound and noise-cancellation. The discomfort makes me want to take the headset OFF and not just readjust it.

It's that the earphones are awkwardly small and definitely don't go AROUND the ear. They sit ON the ear and make me wonder why they're listed under circumaural.

Another thing, the headphone parts consistently slide down the wire frame of the headset, so the band of the headset never rests on my head to help with comfort either.

Also, I tried the "cheap sock fix" in the other review, and it still hurt after approximately the same amount of time.

Other Thoughts: Considering these are supposed to be for gaming, they are rather disappointing. I would expect them to be comfortable for at least 2 or 3 hours, but they start to bother me at around 30-40 minutes.

5 out of 5 eggsHighly Impressive

Pros: This is an addition to my previous post. My 5 stars still stand as is, but this is an update on what I have encountered with these headphones.

The sound still continues to amaze me. Quite honestly the best sounding headphones I have ever used. I am fully immersed when playing BF4. Explosions sound real, as do the weapons. I can actually hear differences in each weapon now. Subtle differences I couldn't hear before.

I played DayZ with a friend using Skype. This is where the headphones stood out. It sounded like he was right there talking in my ear. It was kind of freaky. We had always played together on the Xbox, but he even commented this was the first time we were truly talking with our real voices. The mic is crystal clear. The build is robust. The case it comes with is awesome.

Cons: Now for the elephant in the room.

Yes, these do get very uncomfortable after about an hour of playing. Yes, the headphones do slide down.

To combat this, I wear a fleece beanie and it seems to do the trick. I do have to adjust the headphones occasionally.

Do I wish they were more comfortable? Of course. Do I think the issue is bad enough to knock several stars off?

I just can't. The sound quality on these is just too good. I paid $99, and at that price, these were a steal. At $79.99, its a no brainer. It would be foolish not to get these at that price.

Other Thoughts: Best sound to price value on the market. Bar none. A steal at $79.99 and even $99.99.

Though they can be uncomfortable, the sound makes it worth it for me at least. I don't game for more than 2-3 hours at a time, and survive.

2 out of 5 eggsSound was impressive - fit/comfort was lacking

Pros: Build Quality - this feels amazing, you can tell they built these to last
Sound Quality - I loved the sound these things pumped out, the surround was immersive (Although the volume seemed rather limited)

Cons: Fit - as mentioned in numerous other review, the left earpiece was too heavy, and the tension was not enough to hold the earpiece up. This was the deal breaker for me, which is why I returned them.

Comfort - These sit ON EAR, not AROUND the ear as indicated. I constantly felt the cups pressing on my ear. They were also very heavy so the top of my head began to ache after about 45 minutes of use. The pain lasted a few days (like a bruise).

Other Thoughts: I read multiple reviews and decided to risk the purchase, although I read about the earpiece "sliding down." I got such a good deal when it was the "Shell Shocker" and I was so impressed by the sound that I attempted to just deal with the earcup problem, I even contemplated ways to alter the headphones to fix the problem... but I just couldn't take it anymore. When I buy a new pair of headphones, they shouldn't have to be altered or modified to properly work.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect

Pros: Just about everything, but how the ears wear made. 7.1 is really no joke, yes there is little to no bass, but the less bass a headsets has the clearer it is. I've never used any headsets that were better, I've used the 2100 Corsair, Kraken Pros and Siberia v2 and nothing has really come close to how good these are.

Cons: Its true that it maybe uncomfortable the first few time you put it on but you need to break the bad boys in. It may take a week or 4 months, but when you break them in they are really perfect.

Other Thoughts: I bought them when they first came out for 300$ and they are still working today without a problem. I am buying them again because it was 60$ for the best headsets I've ever used.
