4 out of 5 eggsGreat Sound, But Piece Broke

Pros: Sound is great through the standard audio jack. Blocks out a lot of sound. Mic is good.

Cons: One of the plastic connectors that connect the speakers to the headset broke. I currently tape it up with duct tape, which I have to re-tape almost every time I use them. I submitted to the Plantronics support, so I will see how well their support is.

Sound through USB is tinny. Not that big of a deal since I only use the standard audio jack.

2 out of 5 eggsDisappointed

Pros: Solid, durable design. Coiled cable reduces tangles and easily accessible controls on the cable so you can quickly adjust the volume and mute/unmute the microphone without even having to look at the control switch. Extremely nice carrying case. Works with either 3.5mm plugs or USB. Decent audio quality for music and games. Dolby surround. Outside noise reduction.

Cons: Audio quality isn't as good for games as I would have hoped for and the virtual surround just merges the speakers which reduces the perception of sound direction and location. I really don't see how this could be considered a gaming headset as they bulky/heavy which makes them uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time. They have the worst adjustment design I've ever seen; instead of the band adjustment coming out of the headband it extends from the ear-cups. I find myself constantly re-adjusting them as they're so heavy the cups start slipping further down. If you need both hands while playing a game then taking either hand away from the controls to re-adjust the headset is a total design flaw.

Other Thoughts: This headset could have been the best I've used but the heaviness plus the poor adjustment design make painful to wear for long periods of time. Aside from gaming I tried to use this at my job for taking voip calls and by the end of the day my ears hurt.

5 out of 5 eggsMisleading

Pros: Great sound quality, picks up every noise which makes it great for shooter games to get a edge over your opponent, and noise canceling, this head set also includes a variety of adapters to hook up to consoles not just for the pc.

Cons: Headphones are a tight fit which can be a pro for better noise canceling, uncomfortable, and its popularity is misleading

Other Thoughts: After having these headphones for more than a year the right side just died and only one side works and seems to be somewhat common.

Only giving 5 stars to warn people before buying.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Descent sound quality and really nothing special about it
Descent sound isolation
Descent sound leak

Cons: Un-comfortable
USB mini driver is useless
Size is too big
its popularity is misleading

Other Thoughts: i cant stress this enough how bad the head set is,
i would rather recommend you guys buying a different brand such as
Logitech, hyperXcloud, astro, razer, ozone, the Xbox and Ps3/4 Default head set, if you got the budget go for senheisser,Vmoda or Bosse don't let your self get fooled by the popularity of this head set cause thats the reason why i bought this. this is the head set they use on game tournaments like LCS ESLTV etc which is why i feel betrayed. to be honest the default head set on ps3/4 and xbox sounds allot better and have better sound isolation and those head set are far more comfortable than this its your choice if you want to risk buying this but i would recommend not buying this and would definitely recommend you readers to consider the suggested brand i wrote on top.

5 out of 5 eggsGood case

Pros: Case is HUGE. i loved how much space was inside, had tons of room for cable management and everything was super easy to install because of the room. the stock fans that came with the case were silent as can be. absolutely wonderful case for the amount of money spent.

Cons: stock fans were not enough to keep the cpu fan running quietly with dust filters on. in order to get enough airflow, i would remove either the top or the front filter which would make the cpu fan never rev up. i also run the FX 8350 which runs hotter than most processors.

Other Thoughts: even with the cons, i bought two 120 mm fans and mounted them on the top slot and that makes it quiet as can be! great case

4 out of 5 eggsGreat mic and sound.

Pros: The mic has an amazing clarity and quality with all sounds it picks up.
The sound is wonderful and crystal clear.
The package as a whole is a great side note to the headset itself with a beautiful case and multiple cords for whatever your needs.

Cons: This headset does tend to start hurting your ears and your head after a short time.
The adjustable head/ear sliders on the sides do not hold any form of adjustment you make, they just keep sliding.
The in-line volume and mic mute are not that far from the headset itself which means that you will most likely hear the clacking of it if you move your head while using the mic.

Other Thoughts: Keep in mind that the mic on this headset is stronger then the cheaper headsets and it will pick up every noise in the background even if you do spend hours trying to adjust the sensitivity.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat purchase

Pros: -Great headset
-Superb mic quality and amazing sound
-Nice and secure on my head

Cons: -I haven't found any so far because the maximum size of the headset fully extended fits my head the best.

Other Thoughts: Many of the other reviews say about how it is uncomfortable for their heads but it is just perfect on mine and I feel like it gets more comfortable with more use. Also I would 100% recommend this it is a lot of bang for it's cost.

4 out of 5 eggsGamecomm Commander vs Gamecom 780

Pros: The Commander and the 780 are about the same price point. I own both and am going to list the pros vs. cons between them:

Pros for Commander:

-Great carrying case.
-Debatably more stylish.
-Extremely sensitive mic (note cons).
-USB and 3.5mm compatibility.
-Better build quality w/ far sturdier headband.

780 Pros:

-Better surround sound - cleaner and more ambient also better for direction sense.
-Much louder volume.
-Mic does a FAR better job at noise cancelling
-More comfortable - softer feel on your head and MUCH more comfortable on your ears.
-'Clicky' earcup placement adjustment - they will stay where you set them.

Cons: Commander cons:

-NOT comfortable - they may break in haven't had the time with them yet. I have the tiniest ears ever and my ears DO fit inside the earcups, but they are currently very warm after only about 30 minutes wearing this set.
-Surround sound inferior - shows in Windows 7 as 'USB sound card' with only option in Windows to set as stereo. However, selecting 5.1, 7.1 etc in-game w/ USB dongle powered on does appear to give surround. However, I found selecting the same in-game option w/ USB turned off to give a clearer surround on these headphones. IMO 780 has better surround sound.
-Mic has pitiful noise cancelling capability - any sound in the entire room is picked up by the mic - note the mic DOES sound absolutely great, but I found even scratching my toe w/ my finger was being picked up by the mic, as well as every key pressed on my keyboard. 780 does a MUCH better job of cancelling noise.
-Generally regarded as uncomfortable.
-Proprietary connector made of plastic that is bound to break.
-Volume capability is truly 50% of what the 780 can output, and distorts far easier.

780 cons:

-Headband made of plastic and tends to break after a year or two.
-Requires driver to operate surround sound (though currently the headset IS supported through to Win 8).
-Microphone build quality low - many reviews give the mic quality as so-so. IMO the mic is FAR better at both pickup and noise cancelling as I used the set for over a year and no one ever heard me typing, scratching myself, etc. However, my 8 year old son put the mic in his mouth one day and it quit working.....
-Cloth earpieces do pick up dust like crazy, though they are easy to clean.

Other Thoughts: Between the two I would have to say the 780 is the far better buy due to comfort, sound quality/volume and noise cancelling quality of the mic. I have not used either headset in a high-volume location, so unsure if there is a standout in that situation. However, the 780's cloth earpieces, noise cancelling mic and better surround win hands down. The Commander does win for style points, included carrying case and multiple connection capability. Ultimately, the comfort, volume and lack of noise cancelling mic capability of the Commander leaving me wishing I had picked up another pair or 780's........

5 out of 5 eggsBest Headphones

Pros: Sound is superb, much better than the sennheizer HD 212 Pro they replaced. I tested the 7.1 UBS but found it OK but not as good as my SB card. Fit for me was very good and all adapters it came with fit all my needs. The case was a plus much more heavy duty than expected.

Cons: The only con is the weight of these compared with my other pair of cans is more then double.

Other Thoughts: I can live with the extra weight to get the great sound. These were better sounding than my Bose set up I use for listening to music and with this discount you cannot go wrong.
