3 out of 5 eggsDecent for the price

Pros: Low cost. Decent sound

Cons: cord seems to twist itself.

Other Thoughts: To the one that posted the mic was installed wrong... are you using the mic on the left or right ear? It goes on your left ear unlike other sets ive owned. Also you can fix this by swapping audio channels in control panel.

5 out of 5 eggsdecent headset

Pros: I've had this headset for almost two years now, and they still sound just as good as when i first received them, and the surround sound is decent in games.

Cons: They start hurting your ears after a while and puts quite a bit of pressure on my head (i have a big head).

Other Thoughts: They seem fragile, but I've never dropped them or anything. Also, the led is REALLY bright.

2 out of 5 eggsgood, but died after a few months

Pros: It had great sound. The mic worked as supposed and this was at a great price. .

Cons: After babying it for months It decided to die after five to be exact. Very disappointed. Also the wire usually always became tangled all by itself.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat For the Price.. For a few months

Pros: One of the cheapest surround sound headsets available, the on board controls (I don't know what to call it) are great. Being able to mute your mic, and sound on the fly really come in handy in games.

Cons: After just a few weeks of owning this headset the microphone broke, then after a few months sound kept going on and off and I had to keep unplugging then plugging back in the head set for it to work.

I have owned countless headsets and eventually this has happened to all of them. I don't know whether or not to buy a bunch of cheap head sets, or to just splurge and get a high end one.. Either way, this is unacceptable no matter what the cost of the head set is.

Other Thoughts: I wouldn't repurchase this product even if it got marked down to the $20-$30 range.

3 out of 5 eggsdecent

Pros: great sound quality for the price, worked great for the 5 months that i had it.

Cons: the controls on the cord are cheaply made, the wires detached from the circuit board in the housing for the controls and shorted my set.

Other Thoughts: didn't use it too much maybe twice a week for the 5 months, not sure if it was just a bad pair i had. was able to send it back in for another pair. all in all good for the price still seeing how long this new pair will last (wont use the controls on this one) 6 months and counting on new set.

1 out of 5 eggsAh zero, if only there was a zero

Pros: Good sound, microphone adjustability, clarity

Cons: Worked from August until January. Gaming headsets should take heavy use. With less than moderate use, this headset died.

3 out of 5 eggsmeh

Pros: the sound is good I guess...although I can't tell it much difference from my old headset.

Cons: the mic was installed backwards, so when I use it, I have to physically twist it around, and then it slowly works itself back around backwards. It is extremely uncomfortable after just a few minutes on my ears. It squeezes them, so everywhere my ears touch, they physically hurt. Which means I have to take them off every 20 minutes or so and give them a rest. The light on the switch part is super bright, which is kind of annoying in a dark room if it turns towards the screen/your face. the ear-piece parts also swivel around, which makes them fairly annoying to take off.

Other Thoughts: doing an RMA on them for a refund...
oh, and they are advertised as being "light weight"...far from it. they are actually considerably bigger and more bulky than my old ones which were also kind of big.

3 stars only because they sound good and also the mic sounds good when it is manually held facing my mouth. I'm hoping that's a defect in mine, because if not then a lot of people are being forced to some very muffled voices.

1 out of 5 eggsgood for a day

Pros: They were nice looking and sounded good for one day only.

Cons: I have the FX-8 as well and both quit after a short time.

Other Thoughts: I contacted the company for warranty and they failed to repair or replace the item. I have contacted the BBB over the company not honoring there 1 year warranty. Case is still pending. I will say this about them is I will never buy another product from ABS and Rosewill. Both are the same company as one of the emails from tech support had Rosewill in the return address header. Very disappointed.

4 out of 5 eggsGood while it lasted...

Pros: It fit well on my small head and small ears. The Mic was good quality and worked great. I've used Skype, Mumble, Vent and MSN with no notable problems.

Cons: The only thing that I could say bad about it is that it has stopped working, I will try to fix it.

Other Thoughts: If I can't fix it or find a better one I am considering buying this one again.

4 out of 5 eggsVery good!

Pros: Very good sound quality for a cheap surround sound headset.

The surround sound works.

Has a very customizable sound when you find the drivers.

Cons: Sometimes its hard to tell if the surround sound is actually working or if its just my brain thinking that i hear surround sound but not really...

The mic is super annoying if you don't use it all the time. It doesn't come off and it often times gets in the way.

Windows 7 drivers are super hard to find (or at least they were when i looked for them) and the vista ones work under 7 but there super glitchy and take like 20 minutes to bring up the equalizer panel and stuff...

Other Thoughts: I like this headset because it has a similar feature set to the Logitech G35 that my friend has. Its not quite as awesome as that but for almost a hundred dollars less i am ok with that!
