2 out of 5 eggsInexistent longevity

Pros: Great wheel while works.
Good feel/grip visual and assembly quality, at first anyway...

Cons: -Squeaks loudly and constantly while turning.
-I don't have much XP with feedback but what this wheel does made my F1 2013 results worse. Feedback was turned off very quickly.
-No way to secure the pedals which will slide away from you throughout a race.
-I did not have any luck with the fixture that keeps the wheel attached to the desk. To be fair, my desk was not fully compatible with this mechanism, and that was the primary source of attachment problems, but I feel that some flexibility and options would be nice. Final nail into this wheel's coffin was the snapping out of the "female" cylinder from the inside of the bottom of the wheel (which is where the rod that bolts it to the table goes in).
-Finally, my biggest grief - three buttons died. True, two were used extensively, but the third one almost never! And, regardless, these buttons must be made to last. Using this kind of peripherals involves quite a bit of "finger aggression." This kind of quality puts this product into a "waste of money" category, IMHO.

Other Thoughts: Bought a "barely used" one from that one big online auction that newegg won't let us mention in reviews. Didn't look like it was used at all though. Everything worked for a couple of months.

I probably got a case of bad luck with this one, and it's not a bad wheel most of the time. however, I'm done experimenting and will stick with Logitech from now on...

5 out of 5 eggsawesome

Pros: Feel, feedback, control, no deadzones!

Cons: limited rotation.

Other Thoughts: I LOVE this wheel, its better than the more expensive logitech g27 IMO.. this has no deadzone, and gives a great sim experience, its alot of fun for hours on end.

UPS broke mine I think, open your boxes LOL i left mine sitting over 30 days, I couldnt return it.
But nothings broken when youre a machinist, i repaired mine with a custom metal plate and alot of epoxy.

still unsure how mine broke though, the entire plastic case of the wheel itself was cracked and busted, one paddle shifter was off completely, and the wheel just wobbled around unusable.

5 out of 5 eggsLove it, worth every penny

Pros: It has a great size and feel, feedback is excellent if you take the time to set the options, it feels very realistic. Pedals are solid along with metal paddle shifter's. There is a TON of buttons and has a good layout. I also got great service when the stand broke. I've owned this for over 3 years now and it is still a blast to play with.

Cons: The pedals have to be anchored, it doesn't have 900 degree turning, and the base could be supported better vertically.

Other Thoughts: I broke the support for the stand. When I emailed the company, they told me to take a few pictures and maybe the box and in under a week i had a new stand and bolt. Pretty amazing. Tuning can take a little while but once you understand what each option means it gets easier and you know when you get it right. Not that it matters, but i got it for around $80, i would pay $160.

4 out of 5 eggsGood wheel, great construction

Pros: Force feedback works well, predictable behavior, always returns to "zero" well, feeback left isn't different from right like many other wheels

Cons: Pedal spacing is too close, pedal base not heavy enough

Other Thoughts: Great for middle of the road use, base is terrible for advanced racing sim gamers but acceptable for most. I built a heavier base to put my pedals in and spaced them a bit more apart, making this much more comfortable for me to drive

1 out of 5 eggsQuit working after XP Update

Pros: Was great when it worked.

Cons: Quit working after MS updated XP, vendor will not update drivers, so its a door stop now. Get a Logitech, it works great!

5 out of 5 eggs3 years 1 week later

Pros: I am "Virgin Racer"......... man, you can have lots of fun racing. and you can have an enjoyable time if you have the right gear for it. this is the right gear.

not made in China..... made in France! least mine was anyways.

Cons: not much for cons: the base still needs to be a little bigger. the pedal spacing isn't that much of a bother anymore but the base is still too small. Needs bigger rubber pads to keep it in one spot on the floor.

the part about hitting the wrong flippers....... I wasn't racing I was bullying myself around the track trying to win all the races. As soon as i slowed down and actually "raced" I didn't have those problems anymore.

I don't leave the USB plugged in all the time. Only plugged in when I'm going to race and unplug when finished. Hot swapping hasn't been a problem. Power is always plugged into strip but strip isn't always plugged in. longevity ?

Other Thoughts: When I realized I wasn't racing but forcing the race and decided to slow down I had an awesome time. Seeing a bunch of cars ahead of you all stretched out racing is actually a good feeling. Should have learned earlier that you don't have to win every race or any race but just to have fun. That's when it become a nicer experience. Turning off all the safety stuff and racing without them also worked well with this wheel. Nice feed back when cars are set up right. THAT also slowed me down a bit.

5 out of 5 eggsResponsive controler

Pros: Compact and simplified connections and compatible with a broad variety of titles. Driver was a breeze on Windows 7 and configuration options are many. Comfortable and larger than most racing wheels.

Cons: none

4 out of 5 eggsWORKS

Pros: Easy to set up...... sets itself up basically. Feels better and wheel is a little bigger than my friends MOMO. Better made IMO.

Cons: Turning radius not enough on a few corners in NFS Shift. 99% of the maps are okay though. Not sure you have to have the "best" ( $$$ ) wheel but I like it..... Big expense for the few Racing games I will have in my life but feels quality and don't think I'll ever need to buy another one. If it breaks I'll let you know. .... The shifters are hard to get to in long turning radius' and sometime hit the wrong flipper while turned that far and when you're under pressure. . I can learn to live with that though. The foot rest needs to be 4" wider as do the pedal spacing...... You can't drive without shoes on and this could be improved on. Kids smaller feet should find it okay.

Other Thoughts: If you're going to race you gotta have a wheel. Learned that the hard way. Key boards can't give you the control you need and you can't race to your potential without one. Take your time and learn how to set your game up and you can have a lot of fun.
