3 out of 5 eggs2Y2M Identified Component Failure

Pros: In terms of performance, this joystick did everything I said it could. It's not spectacular, but good enough for the price. Good control and the stick didn't go floppy while I had it, functional, if somewhat crude throttle, and it didn't loose any performance until...

Cons: Just prior to writing this, the throttle stopped responding at all. Montage through the troubleshooting steps, I determined (correctly) that it was hardware failure. It has seen relatively light use in that time.

Due for an upgrade anyways, I disassembled the base to investigate the cause. A wire connecting the throttle control component to the circuit board had severed. To my untrained eyes, it appeared sheared, but it may be result of fatigue caused by frequent.

Other Thoughts: The stick is great, the throttle is poor. Recommended unless you will be dependent on the throttle functioning.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Stick for FSX

Pros: An inexpensive flight stick that WORKS!

This purchase was my 2nd for this stick.
The first one was damaged.
Grandkids - soda....... Stuff happens....

I decided to upgrade to a Saitek flight stick at twice the cost.
THAT was a waste of money! It was junk and reading reviews after the fact showed it was not an isolated thing.

I won't make that mistake again.

Cons: Not Grandkid Proof :-)

4 out of 5 eggsWas good while it lasted

Pros: Comfortable, sensitivity adjustment, lots of buttons on the stick, and at the base.

Overall its a good stick, for 30 bucks you can't go wrong.

Cons: Lasted two years before having calibration problems, basically my planes had a tendency to bank left if I were pitching down. re-calibrating the stick would solve the problem...for 5 minutes. I had to buy a new one because of this.

If your left handed, or like me, want to practice your left handed flight(like real life pilots must), you won't be able to because this stick is designed only for the right hand.

Other Thoughts: Definitely wish I bought another Stick X to replace my broken one, instead of a Mad Catz stick.

5 out of 5 eggsnice stick!

Pros: this is a very solid joystick! it is bigger than i thought it would be and feels like a more expensive device than it is. I have programmed the buttons for use on battlefield 4 and it works great, i can finally fly a jet! (which is hard with a keyboard/mouse)

Cons: no cons, love it!

1 out of 5 eggsThrustmaster Piece of Junk

Pros: NONE... there are no pros, this is simply a defective product

Cons: The con is simple to explain... this is a Defective Product. Purchased 5 each and all have failed for the very same defect.

Other Thoughts: I have been suckered into to buying 5 each of these Thrustmaster T-flight sticks (being gifts to family members and friends) BEWARE they are defective products. The sliders fail in a matter of a few hours of use, then they go totally inoperative. Thrustmaster will send you some software claiming it's a software problem. However all they do is "mask over" the existing Microsoft joy stick software (so your not really getting anything that will correct the defective joystick) also when that fails they suggest their calibration software (because obviously they already knew masking over the Microsoft joy.cpl won't fix the defect problem) and here Microsoft rejected and refused to install their calibration software. Mostly do the fact their software is outdated and totally useless, and they seem to know this as well. I said "suckered into buying" thinking this would make a nice gift for a reasonable price and provide hours of entertainment; but it only provided aggravation and disappointment coupled with a waste of good monies for what is simply a "defective product" being sold. Made in China "dirt cheap" and sold to the American public for whatever price they can bleed you for, here some outlets are asking for $80 dollars, but most outlets sell these very same flight sticks for $30 dollars. I would not only NOT RECOMMEND this product; I will WARN YOU that you are wasting your money. The idea they make a pathetic attempt to say it's a software problem, does not hide the fact; that all 5 joysticks purchased had the very same problem, being a defective slider (throttle) which of course renders the entire joystick totally useless. BUYER BEWARE and hope you heed the advice and don't waste your hard earned money.

1 out of 5 eggsDon't Waste Your Money

Pros: None to speak of.

Cons: Not able to re-program the buttons, only 1 button works, no support from manufacturer yet. I give it 1 egg ONLY because I am not allowed to give it Zero

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I have had no problems with this stick at all. I plugged it in and my computer recognized it right away. The stick movement is smooth and glitch free.

Cons: It's a bit on the big size but for the money is acceptable.

3 out of 5 eggsPurchased with throttle

Pros: I like the hat button. It is a cheap stick. The stick seems good quality and most of the buttons are pressed easy. Quick plug and play install on Windows 8.

Cons: The trigger is a big con to me. It is hard plastic. This means my index finger is pressing on the corner of the trigger for most of my play time. The trigger feels like it should have been a two stage piece but the sensor was a cheaper model and only has one stage of firing. Because of this, I cannot use butterfly presses like you would use on a good trigger calibrated paintball gun.

Other Thoughts: I have not tried to preset mapping for the 2 profiles on my stick.
