5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: There isn't much to say, it works and I can finally enjoy simulators. It feels comfortable, though it took a few minutes to get my bearings of course, and the buttons make sense. Also the buttons are all numbered, so that's helpful.

Cons: Nothing really, I never had one of these before so I can't actually critique it properly. If there are any flaws, I haven't noticed them.

3 out of 5 eggsMediocre overall but

Pros: Unlike some, mine works BF3 quite well but you may need to get into the BF3 settings profile to more finely tune.

Looks good, great price, holding up better (crossing fingers) than a (3x) replaced 3D Pros. Like the throttle placement and its sensitivity great for chopper hovers. Curving base is just a tad smaller footprint than 3D Pro but still a desk space hog.

Cons: So far it (me) sucks on jets. Thumb rest not comfortable to me. The bottom mounted stiffness dial worked about 12 hours before it lost its gripping power and now control is considerably more sloppy than I would like. No other sensitivity adjustments, eg, no software support in that area like 3D Pro Profiler.

Other Thoughts: Like the promo sez: great starter kit.

2 out of 5 eggsSorry I bought it

Pros: It seems to have sturdy construction.

Cons: Doesn't work with Battlefield 3

Other Thoughts: I bought this primarily for use with Battlefield 3 but it seems the pieces of garbage at EA chose to either block use of any flight controllers or create software that does not permit the use of the flight controllers. Now I am stuck with this thing and I can't use it for the purpose I bought it for. I called tech support they didn't seem to care and pawned me off on EA.

4 out of 5 eggsgood

Pros: Simple, effective. Overall a great joystick. Great value. I don't care much for hat stick location, but the throttle style is a major +. also tension adjustments underneath the stick is an awesome feature.

Cons: Some buttons are a little stiff and really require a hard press.

Other Thoughts: Buy it if you need a simply slight stick to get the job done.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Joystick

Pros: BUY IT- IT'S BETTER THAN EVERYTHING ELSE FOR THE PRICE, Heavy Base, Durable, No deadzone/rudder/axis quirks, Works with all my Games so Far: Wings of Prey, Dogfighter, Battlefield, Locking Rudder Control and Physical Tension Adjustment

Cons: Cheap Feel (no biggie), Tension control could have better range (no biggie), Lack of Sensitivity Tuning/Customization in PC driver, HARDWARE MAPPING ONLY WORKS BETWEEN THE BUTTONS ON THE JOYSTICK, For the unaware, this joystick has a mapping key which allows one to remap the buttons on the joystick without having to do so in a game menu. The way it is advertised, I thought this meant that I could use this function to map keyboard keys to the joystick buttons. Instead, the hardware mapping only allows you to remap the joystick buttons on the joystick eg assing the 4 button to the 9 button not the 4 button to be "c" on a keyboard as I was lead to believe. Apparently the mapping does work with the PS3 controller though I cannot test that. Overall, I can still map the joystick with the keyboard, but I must do so manually in game. This is a potential problem because it leaves me at the mercy of whether the game supports xboxcontrollers (the joystick driver is an xbox controller driver

Other Thoughts: I did not purchase this from Newegg but am so impressed that I felt compelled to write a review. There are several points to be made:
1) It has more features (ie. tension adjustment, ps3 support) than all the other joysticks in its price range save the Logitech products
2) It is very sturdy with a heavy base though it does have a cheap plastic feel. I notice this especially with the buttons. The #4 button sticks sometimes. Its probably the most durable joystick you can buy for the money given what I've read about the others and my experience so far.
3) It works with all the games I've tried, though I usually have to tweak things in the games settings: Wings of Prey worked out of the box by selecting the preset whereas I had to disable the "xbox controller" in dogfighter and manually map it in Battlefield. It would be nice to be able to make mapping/sensitivity adjustments in the driver so you dont have to keep doing it in games.
4) See the other point about mapping in the cons.

3 out of 5 eggsWe'll see...

Pros: Great stick layout, comfortable, inexpensive, easy to setup, accurate when it works.

Cons: The Y axis jams periodically and will not stay centered. No matter how many times I calibrate this thing it jumps out of alignment within 1-5 minutes of use. After troubleshooting with it for about a week and making sure it's indeed a hardware issue and not a configuration one I've decided to request an RMA.

Other Thoughts: We'll see if I just got a dud. Hopefully this isn't indicative of the build quality of all of them. If that's the case, I'll try and get a refund and go with a higher end product. No use in spending less money to get a dysfunctional product. Three stars for now. If the replacement fixes the issues I'll bump it up to 4 stars - minus one for quality control. If the next stick does the same thing I'll be looking for a different manufacturer.

5 out of 5 eggsMy second Thrustmaster! :=D

Pros: This is the second one that I've owned. I just wore out the other one after many years, or the drivers could not keep up with the changes. I like the feel of the grip. To me it's more authentic. Buttons at the touch which is great.

Cons: If your playing BF 2 make sure that you delete all the "falcon" setting in the aircraft controls or you will have problems.

Other Thoughts: Shipping was a bit high, but it was on sale.

4 out of 5 eggsReady For Takeoff!!!

Pros: Great stick for beginners, basic configuration, easy to familiarize yourself with it. I'm, comfortable with the button layout. The Resistance is another handy feature. I prefer more resistance for that accurate feeling. Light weight and portable in may case, easy to slip into a backpack and take on the go with a laptop of course.

Cons: The throttle slide is too sensitive or it's easy to slide up, I prefer it to have a slower slide up for accurate throttle power settings. Another thing with the throttle is if you move to fast it may cause a wire to fall out of place inside.

It's made mostly for right-handed players, due to the hand rest on the right side of the joystick.

Other Thoughts: Show off at your friend's and have a LAN Party. Stable even if I have it next to my lap, I'm able to fly comfortably with just one hand.
