Armed with the latest proven ROCCAT technological innovations, the successor to the ROCCAT Kova is equipped to the teeth. The new ROCCAT Kova[+] unites powerful technology with intelligent software and an advanced V-shaped design for left or right-handed use.

  • newegg EASY-SHIFT[+] BUTTON The Easy-Shift[+] button doesn't just give you access to seven mouse buttons plus the mouse wheel – you also get access to 16 additional functions at the touch of a button. The Easy-Shift[+] button is similar to the shift key on a keyboard. If you hold down the Easy-Shift[+] button while pressing one of the other standard mouse buttons, you can program a second function (dual-assignment).
  • newegg LAG-FREE PRECISION The 3200dpi Pro-Optic R2 Gaming Sensor plays in the Champions' League of optical sensors, offering lag-free precision. ROCCAT increased maximum speed to 130 inches per second and raised maximum acceleration to 30G. And like the current generation of ROCCAT gaming mice, the polling rate clocks in at an unprecedented 1000Hz.
  • newegg V-SHAPE FOR LEFT OR RIGHT-HANDED USE The Kova[+] sits nicely in both the left and right hand. Thanks to a slightly raised ridge on the upper casing, you can control the Kova[+] with maximum precision. The Griptech side areas extend all the way to the top of the Kova[+], letting you hold the mouse securely when lifting it. In addition, the new Soft-Touch Coating offers amazing grip, complementing the non-slip performance of the familiar solid rubber Griptech side areas. As part of the ROCCAT Smart Desktop Management System (SDMS), the Kova[+] Max Performance Gaming Mouse fits seamlessly into the angular, stealth-look of the series. SDMS has become a byword for performance-focused gaming with its series of perfectly-coordinated products that offer optimum handling and improved ergonomics.
  • newegg ROCCAT DRIVER The Kova[+] now also comes with a feature-rich driver package, allowing precise adjustment of the sensitivity and dpi settings. All seven buttons plus the mouse wheel can be assigned a multitude of functions and custom macros, as well as predefined ROCCAT Presets. The Creating Game Profiles option makes things easier when starting a game, as the Game Profiles function automatically loads settings specific to the particular game during start-up.
  • newegg MULTICOLOR LIGHT SYSTEM A multicolor LED system allows the mouse to light up in seven different colors – plus the mouse can be further personalized with color rotation and other lighting effects using the driver. You can even assign colors to profiles, so when you switch profiles the color changes, too.
  • newegg SOUND FEEDBACK The Kova[+] also features Sound Feedback – a new feature first introduced on the ROCCAT Kone[+]. The mouse informs you of any changes to the dpi, profile or sensitivity settings by reading them aloud. This means there are no additional displays to distract you from gameplay, so your full attention can remain on screen.

4 out of 5 eggsSolid

Pros: The mouse works great as expected. As a Razer product users switching over to Roccat, I feel they have a different, but still in touch idea of what a gamer needs in their mouse. A mouse is not just for clicking, but an extension of the controls, and the mouse shows this in form and function. Razer is for the ergonomic gamer, and Roccat is for the technical gamer. And I like technical.

Other Pros:
- 7 preset colors to choose from for the illumination. My previous mouse, the Razer Deathadder, only glowed blue, which was nice in conjunction with my keyboard also glowing blue, but Im not a huge blue fan.
- Very customizable with 7 buttons. Ive been wanting side buttons on both sides ever since I got the Razer Orochi for my laptop, but as that mouse is small, I cant use it for long periods of time on my desktop.
- Comfortable to use for extended periods of time. Its long enough to allow me to rest my hand on it without it feeling like a giant trying to balance on a stick.
- Smooth surface on the top improve the comfort over my Deathadder. It feels rather breathable so instances of hand sweat have decreased.

Cons: The reason for only giving 4 eggs is I have a couple of complaints and issues when setting up the mouse.

- The configuration software was difficult to find. The driver installation seemed like a typical install of a driver only, and there was no indication that the software was installed along with it. Not even a desktop icon. I had to dig into the install location to find it after emailing their support. Its not a huge issue, nor a technical one on the mouse itself, but more of a failure on Roccat's part to inform users that the software is even there.
- Further, their website is fairly confusing. The product information page doesn't even link to the drivers download page, which is in a whole other section of the site. There seemed to be a large disconnect between sales and support when they designed their web page.

Other Thoughts: - The side buttons do seem a little stiff making them a little difficult to press some times. This may just be from not being broken in and/or im not completely used to it yet, but I thought I would mention it. Its completely functional otherwise.

2 out of 5 eggsWaste of money

Pros: Nice lights

Cons: I purchased this on 10/30/2012 so I have used it for little over a year. The wheel is suppose to be middle button but in the last few weeks it started screwing up. It just doesnt register when you click. Its a big thing for me to have middle mouse button that is able to click because I use Blender 3D a lot and middle button is used for navigation. Poor quality for something that is only more then a year old to be broken.

2 out of 5 eggsStay AWAY from this mouse

Pros: Nice sexy sleek design, like the cool LED and overall design, looks like it would last ...... the "7 programmable" buttons?

Cons: Where can I start?
First off they LIE this is not a 7 button mouse you can only assign 5.
The mouse wheel button at first was almost impossible to use had to really press down until 1 day it just stoped working completely, I do need these features to work as i'm handicapped and need all the extra programmable buttons to be able to enjoy some gaming but feel like i was taken advantage of by Roccat because of mi condition and False advertising this type of mouse is a niche group that buys them because we NEED them, and mind you I don't play much and guess when it stopped working ....2 weeks after warranty was over.

I pride myself in looking for info, reviews and researching before I buy my stuff and at the time read great reviews and what not but I feel robed and lied to, why advertise lies this is not a "all 7 usable/programmable buttons" mouse!!
I'm not going to blame newegg for this but trust me is the first and last time I give Roccat a chance!!!
Thank you Roccat you have made my past few months a frustrating experience trying to learn new tricks of how to do things on the pc with only 1 hand!!!
should had stayed with my old mouse.

ps. Did all the usual trouble shooting, updated drivers, reinstalled the roccat software and all the other good stuff.

Other Thoughts: Well time to get another one, seems like there is a Storm coming and i need to do some RECON!!

Stay away from this mouse if you check reviews now you will find almost all the negatives conclude this is a cheaply made mouse!

Time to take it apart I guess and see if i can at least make it usable.

4 out of 5 eggsKova +

Pros: Love the sleek design, multi LED color changer, it's of course amazing when you look at just the aesthetics of the mouse itself. Light weight, glides easily. Wheel is sturdy, mod type buttons. I have smaller hands since Im a female and this is perfect for my hand, not so sure about males it might be a little small for them.

Cons: I believe the construction of the mouse itself could be better. I noticed after a few months things were getting stuck in places. I think it's possibly the glue or adhesive they use which is (Ill be honest) disgusting. It attracts all kinds of dirt and debris. One day I was spending a few hours online gaming and I noticed something sticky on my fingers. I turned the mouse on it's side and literally had to dig out the adhesive. Also under the mouse it collects so much debris. First started coming apart on the right side then the adhesive on the left. Sticky pads underneath started coming off and it's like this big ball of nasty! LOL! I have two cats and if you have pets this thing is like a fur magnet.

Other Thoughts: All in all I would have been stoked to have this mouse last a little longer. I love the aesthetics but eventually it breaks down. The "breathing" capability for the multi LED color changer is plain to put it freakin' awesome! I will give it to Roccat for some amazing sleek designs but I think I might try Razer next. Might be double the price but if it keeps my hand out of the "glue" container that's just fine for me :)

2 out of 5 eggsFalls apart

Pros: -Fluid movement
-Cool lights
-Plenty of buttons
-Drivers work perfectly

Cons: -Cheaply made
-Rubber sides come unglued
-Buttons stop working or get stuck
-Middle mouse button almost impossible to use

Other Thoughts: Great out of the box but for the price I was hoping to get more than a few months use out of it. I would not recommend this product.

4 out of 5 eggsgreat

Pros: owned it for 4 years and still alive and kicking and clicks are still good.

lighting is nice and lets it match your current mousepad or color scheme.

rubber grips are perfect for me.

Easy shift worked wonders for a lot of games.

Cons: Heavy interpolation at 3200dpi, this mouse is 1600dpi at best.

Scroll bug at 500hz or lower, so unless you scroll alot then stay at 1000hz.

Middle click is hard as balls to press down.

Other Thoughts: this is a pretty small mouse compared to the others out there so guys with big hands should think twice.

5 out of 5 eggsIts AMAZING!!!

Pros: - Very customizable and using the app that comes with the disc is mostly for those who are serious MMO players that use a lot of macros.
- Good for people who are ambidextrous(means capable of using both hands)
- Very responsive and the smooth rubber like grip all around helps.
- Lightweight which is good for gaming to get those quick responsive movements which are a pain with heavier mice.

Cons: If nothing else I would or probably liked it to have maybe some varied shades of color to it since its all black.

Other Thoughts: I took a hammer to my last mouse since it well more or less ticked me off one night by not being very responsive and its signal was messing up even though my other wireless devices were working flawlessly. That led to me getting on newegg and looking at gaming mice made by companies OTHER than logitech since their products aren't as good as they used to be when it comes to mice.

My suggestion for Roccat is try and make a wireless version of this mouse and possibly add some varying shades of color like some dark greys and then it would be an even better mouse. Hell if you make a wireless version I'd probably buy that one too because I'm quite happy with this one which will go nicely with my $3k computer build.

5 out of 5 eggsLove it

Pros: Favourite mouse I have owned. I've owned the Deathadder, m60 and G500. The lights are a nice visual feature. Side buttons are in ideal locations for my size of hands. I don't know if it is a placebo effect but my FPS game has greatly improved as I find I have better accuracy with this mouse.

Cons: It is a smaller mouse so large hands may have issues with it.
Top thumb button does not macro to any of my games.

Other Thoughts: Highly recommend it, especially if it goes on sale.
