Command with Precision
The Lua's advanced R2 Pro Optic sensor delivers your choice of seven DPI settings – 250, 500, 1000, 1250, 1500, 1750 and 2000 – so you can game with accuracy at the speed that matches your style.

Switch Speeds with Ease
The Lua's dedicated DPI button makes it simple to change speeds in the heat of battle. A single button press lets you quickly choose between tracking tempos – for the easiest way to customized acceleration. You can even program the button to switch only between the DPI settings you use most.

Play In Max. Comfort
Thanks to its perfectly-balanced, ambidextrous V-shaped design, the Lua delivers comfort to both left- and right-handers. Its sleek form also ensures a top fit for any hand size. Plus, the Lua features No- Sweat side grips that ensure a steady hold even when the action gets hot – as well as a soft touch surface that lets you play comfortably during extended sessions.

Never Miss A Wheel Command
The Lua's ultra-precise 2D scroll wheel lets you give every wheel command with absolute precision. Every incremental step locks securely into place, so you won't have to worry above over-scrolling. When you want weapon 2, you won't accidentally scroll too far and end up with weapon 3 or 4 – which can mean the difference between life and death in your favorite lightning-paced FPS. Plus, the Lua's advanced scroll wheel delivers solid tactile feedback, so you can actually feel your way to more accurate gaming.

Soak Up the Atmosphere
Mood matters and the Lua delivers. It features a large ROCCAT™ logo lit up in arctic blue – which looks awesome on your desktop while perfectly complementing your other ROCCAT™ gear. The illuminated logo even has a "breathing" effect, so you'll know your Lua is alive and well and awaiting your next command.

Game Awesome / Game Hard
We built the Lua mega-tough and state-of-the-art using only the highest-quality materials and most advanced technology. From its premium electronics – featuring Omron switches and cutting-edge encoder – to its PTFE feet that deliver low-friction gliding, everything on the Lua is built to last and designed to give you an edge on your opponents. Game hard and long as much as you want, knowing your Lua is always up for the fight.

The Lua comes with the ROCCAT™ Driver software, which lets you easily customize your mouse buttons. And thanks to the program's gorgeous and simple-to-use interface, all your Lua tweaking is fun and easy.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat mouse, wrong size for me

Pros: It's very affordable, the accent lighting looks nice, and both textures feel very nice in the hand. I had no issues with the lighting remaining on with the computer off.

I especially appreciate the 7 DPI settings, which do a great job covering the whole spectrum of preferences without feeling the need to tweak anything in software. Indicator lights and separate DPI up/down buttons would have improved this even more, but it's still more useful out of the box than most others if you don't want to bother with proprietary customization software. This is especially true for Linux users, as this mouse gave me no compatibility issues with Linux and required no customization software to get things where I like them.

Feels much more solid and tracks better than the Logitech G100s I was using before.

Cons: It's just too small for me, and I have fairly small hands for a male. (About medium glove size) If you prefer a fingertip grip style it might be fine, but I use a palm grip style and just couldn't get comfortable. I tried to tough it out and get used to it, as I was otherwise very happy with the mouse, but after a few hours my hands were starting to cramp.

Other Thoughts: I bought this mouse because the price was great and I had heard good things about Roccat. I really loved the mouse and am bummed that it wasn't a good fit. If Roccat would just make this 20 percent larger in every direction, and add DPI profile indication lights, I would gladly purchase this again, even if they bumped it up a price bracket.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Investment

Pros: One of the best 3 button neutral left hand and right handed mouse, I've ever had.

Cons: without the software for dpi and the lighting it will constantly glow on and off, and stays lit without the pc being on.
not really A con though.

Other Thoughts: if you looking for a simple gaming 3 button mouse, then this is it, Being left handed i thought that only 3 buttons would effect my gaming, but it hasn't i don't like tons of buttons on my mice anyways, so this buy was perfect for me,
People complain its too small for a grown mans hand, not true in my case, I am a big guy with big hands and this fits my left hand very comfortable.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing mouse

Pros: Amazing mouse. Purchased it BECAUSE it was small. Ended up buying a second (backup.) Most of the other reviews are putting this as a con. It's entry level cost with great potential. The lack of extra buttons and small size make this mouse extremely light and therefore good for fingertip- and claw-grip users.

This is sporting a very-well implemented 3050 (optical) sensor and has a max tracking of 4-6 m/s (dependent on pad) which basically make this bulletproof, even for a low-sensitivity FPS user like myself (250 dpi, 1 sensitivity in source-engine games, raw input on)

Mouse is very sturdy and solid. Coating does not seem like it's going anywhere.

Cons: Mouse is a bit narrow; Coming from a Sensei and IE3.0, this took a few days to get used to. Going back to eo either feels like holding a brick, so I much prefer the Lua now.

Other Thoughts: I've successfully used this mouse on the following pads:
Allsop Raindrop XL
Mionix Alioth 400
GearedGS Titan (Black aluminum)
Corsair MM200
Razer Destructor 2
Razer Manticor
with very high malfunction speeds (>3 m/s)

I do not experience any prediction or angle-snapping on this mouse.

4 out of 5 eggsSatisfied

Pros: Works. Material feels fine. LED cat thing looks nice. Glides easily enough.

Cons: A bit small for adult male hands, but the dimensions are pretty close to what I have seen on most pre-assembled PCs so it's not really a big deal.

Other Thoughts: It's better than the average non-gaming mouse, but I'm not sure it deserves the title "gaming mouse"...then again it doesn't have the price of a gaming mouse either so that's a wash. Overall, I'm satisfied.

4 out of 5 eggsBasic Mouse with Decent Control Features

Pros: The Roccat Lua gaming mouse has a Light construction that allows for less fatigue when suffering through long stretches at the screen. The DPI switch allows for quick sensitivity adjustments and is a nice feature when working with Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, as well as when sniping or performing precision moves in games. Product software allows for further customization of the keys and lighting and the blue Roccat-emblem lighting is a nice touch as well.

Cons: The overall size of the product can be awkward for users with larger hands. Also, the construction of the mouse is by no means hardy, so if you're a rage quitter or just clumsy, then you might want to look for something with a sturdier build.

Other Thoughts: Overall I am pleased with this mouse. I wish it was a little bigger, but so far it hasn't gotten in the way of functionality and performance. Would recommend for someone on a budget.
