5 out of 5 eggsPERFECT!!

Pros: So far, I love this mouse! (owned it for around 1-2 months maybe?)
It feels very solid, has a software with LOTS of options, DPI, Color, Windows Pointer Speed (Yes, it controls the settings from the Windows Control Panel, from the Roccat software as-well! and changes them along with the profiles!)
The LED colors are beautiful, the cable is braided, and there is 4 5g weights that can be added in the mouse, from the bottom of it.

I saw somebody say in a review that they felt the weights moving? but personally I don't even nearly feel them. maybe a defective mouse?

Anyways, I'm gonna buy more products from Roccat from now on, I did not regret my purchase.

Cons: When I try to save the new settings in the software, it takes around 30 seconds for the changes to be applied!
And while they are applying, the software freezes, of course Windows says it's "Not Responding" if you click anywhere on it while it's applying.

I have the software on two computers, and both had the same issue.

Other Thoughts: I bought this mouse along with the Roccat Kave 5.1, and wasn't as satisfied with them than I was with the mouse..

5 out of 5 eggsOptions, Price and Feel

Pros: Solid feel.
Good size.
Easy to use and figure out.
Great for work or play.
Great customer service!

Cons: The customization software takes what feels like a long time to upload the profile to the mouse. I haven't timed it yet, but I use it to check my phone or read some paperwork. The button assignments were a little tricky for the 4 and 5 buttons, but a quick email to support and done.

Other Thoughts: I got this to replace a Logitech mouse I have been using for several years. I was looking for something that would not be out of place on my work desk, had some personality and would offer the ability to do some customization for gaming.

Value, price and quality were big considerations as my budget and time do not allow for me to be down with a bad mouse or waiting for a replacement. I also have a big hand with average length fingers so I needed a palm grip.

This was a fit for all of that. The weight is good. The fit is good. The grip feels a little slick, but actually has good traction in use. I am not an intensive gamer any more, but this allows for a lot of options and I have been able to improve my play. The button placement has been really good to make all of them accessible, but without accidental button pushes.

The button assignments are a little quirky with the shift button for the multiple button assignments, but I contacted tech support about that and another profile issue I had. They were responsive (being 1/2 the world away), personable and knowledgeable. The responses were not form responses telling me to use their knowledge base or forums. They answered the questions I asked and gave me the information I needed without a lot of bull.

Good purchase for a mouse that doesn't look like an alien spaceship but has the performance I need.

3 out of 5 eggsThere are better mice for less

Pros: -Solid build
-Easy interface
-Easy to set up
-Very comfortable for long periods
-Braided cord is tangle free

Cons: -Price/Very overpriced for what you get
-Sensor/There is mouse acc even though they claim there is none
-Weights need to be all in/out or the mouse is poorly balanced
-DPI can only be selected in increments of 200
-Sensor quality is low

Other Thoughts: I used three of these mice over the past two years. All have had issues with the sensor or weight covers. After about 8 months the sensor starts to feel inaccurate and after some testing it was becoming worse at picking up the mouse pad/ I asked ROCCAT for a replacement which was sent over quickly; which was good. However this one died after 3 months and ROCCAT couldn't even tell me what happened. So I was sent another one and this one lasted a year until the weight cover got stuck during a weight change and would not come out even after some light prying with a small Flathead screwdriver.

While the mouse has good build quality and ROOCAT was helpful while I was dealing with their products issues you can't overlook one of the most important things in a mouse. The sensor.

5 out of 5 eggsROCCAT KONE XTD

Pros: This is by far THE MOST comfortable mouse I have EVER used. I wasn't sure once I knew how large of a mouse it was as to rather or not it would be comfortable but, I was quickly given my answer. The lighting customization on this is just as indepth as the ISKU FX keyboard I ordered to go along with it. Not to mention the macros are just customizable and both the ISKU FX and the KONE XTD will work in tandem using them.

Cons: I haven't really come across any cons as of yet, but, if I do I will update this to reflect them.

Other Thoughts: As I said in my review of the ISKU FX, I would order these in a heartbeat again. I love my ROCCAT set and it is not only highly customizable but extremely comfortable which is important since I stream on Twitch.tv 4 days a week. Thank you ROCCAT for giving me exactly what I wanted.

5 out of 5 eggsLove this mouse

Pros: Good feel, bigger than a standard Microsoft mouse which I like. I added the 4 5 gram weights it comes with right o way. I feel like I'll get stronger mouse control as a result. Color is decent, the only thing I would like is more color effects when its tied to the isku fx they should have button effects or light that changes with music. I know they have some effects for certain games but there far and few, I haven't found anything yet. Just been using the breathing lighting effect. Oh, also like the fact that it tracks the meters the mouse travels as well as clicks and scrolls. Never had that before, its interesting to see.

Cons: more lighting effects needed

4 out of 5 eggsNeat Mouse - great software

Pros: -large (I have big hands)
-comfortable for claw or palm grip
-good buttons, lots of them
-best software I've seen for a gaming mouse
-colors! :D and effects and stuff
-laser is accurate, and height adjustable/calibrating
-tilt wheel!
-dpi on the fly buttons are the best I've seen
-really long braided cable
-profiles are easy to use
-macros are easy to set up
-weights are easy to use/useful

Cons: -clicking is a little heavy, but easy to get used to
-scrolling is a little heavy, but again, i got used to it. I like it now.
-a little pricey, but worth it imo
-bottom plate for weights can rattle of you shake it hard enough. not an issue when using normally.
-applying settings from software to mouse takes about a minute which seems a little long. this makes experimenting with profiles and settings take forever.
-missing some colors, like a solid white. I wanted white to match my keyboard backlight.

5 out of 5 eggsSmoothest Mouse Ever

Pros: I can't believe how smooth this mouse feels. Was really easy to download the drivers and firmware. Took me maybe 3 minutes. You can create up to five profiles if you wanted to have it programmed for different games. This mouse just feels like it was made for my hand. I wouldn't recommend it if you have small hands, but I have medium hands and it feels great to me.

It comes programmed with WoW and CS:GO buttons from the user guide.

Cons: The guy that screams at you when you change your DPI. I hardly ever change it though.

I have no use for 8200 DPI of course, not sure what anyone would do with it that high. Feel like it just goes that high to attract people who think higher is better.

Other Thoughts: I don't see anyone that would be disappointed by this mouse. I could see someone saying they like one better for how they play, but no way anyone could say this mouse is bad.

I'm super happy I've bought it and I already feel my play in DOTA 2 has improved. (using it at 2000 DPI)

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Feels solid. Good position and feel of buttons. Braided cord. Software writes setting to firmware on the mouse so it does not have to run in the background.

Cons: Control panel takes some getting used to. Takes a few seconds to write settings to the mouse.

Other Thoughts: Not for people with small hands.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Mouse

Pros: +Good Feel. I know mouse "feel" is a strange pro, but it is really valid for this product. Most mice I've used have whatever finish they have and it isn't a big deal. I've only had one mouse which was annoying to hold and that was only because I didn't like its gritty surface texture (it was designed that way to help prevent sweaty hands, which it did handily, but still wasn't my thing). This is the first mouse I've ever owned where I got excited about how its finish felt: velvelty smooth. I highly recommend this.

+Many Buttons. I get a lot of use out of extra mouse buttons. Especially at my work, I like to program extra functions to the mouse and bypass the keyboard in certain circumstances to increase my efficiency. The "easy shift" function on this mouse is very intuitive and very easy to use. I've even considered switching from my Razer mice to Roccat for this feature now that I've grown accustomed to it.

+Weight and Light Customizations. I am not a fan of the light rails on this mouse, but they can be interesting. Sometimes I think they are gaudy, but none of my co-workers have ever had a negative comment about them. I tend to keep them off most of the time, but they are a nice distraction. I think the level of customization is amazing, though, and they should suit most people very well. Also, the adjustable weight was a big selling point for me. I do not like overly light mice with a palm grip, so I gravitated toward this feature and have not been disappointed.

+Excellent Software. Aside from the high price tag, I couldn't use my Razer mice at work because the IT department is deathly afraid of Synapse and won't allow it on the computers there. Without the software, the extra features of those mice are useless. It is the same story for this Kone mouse, but, since the driver software doesn't need to connect to the internet, the IT department is fine with it and will allow it. So, I get full use of the mouse, which is a huge plus. Also the customization software is very well made, easy to use and riddled with options I would have never even thought of. All positives.

Cons: -Corded. I really prefer wireless mice at work, since signal drops are not a concern. However, for the price and the package I couldn't find a wireless mouse that could beat this one. So, I went back to corded from my Logitech M510. I definitely miss the versatility of a wireless mouse, but the other features this product brings to the table definitely make it worth the tradeoff.

-Size. I was unprepared for how gigantic this mouse is. For the first two weeks or so, I experienced a lot of hand strain from adjusting to this monster. If you are considering this mouse, be prepared. The lighter version without all the buttons and customizable lights and weight adjustments is closer to the size of a normal mouse. If you don't think you could handle a mouse that, honestly, initially feels like it is impossible to hold, then go with the other version.

Other Thoughts: /Ergonomic. I do not care for Ergonomic mice at all. I am typically a claw-grip mouser who is accustomed to the improved control and precision afforded by this hand style. I find ambidextrous mice suit me best, which is a huge selling point for Razer's products. This mouse is definitely shaped for ergonomics, which is quite necessary considering its ridiculous size. It works great with a palm grip, though, and is designed well enough that it is an easy adjustment to make. I don't really count it as a con, since many people would likely prefer this setup. For me, it is a definite drawback, but - like all the other problems listed - minor in comparison to the benefits of this mouse.

I would definitely buy this mouse again. I have even considered purchasing a second one to use at home when the desire strikes. My enthusiasm for spending $80 - $150 on Razer mice is greatly diminished.
