1 out of 5 eggsGood - When it works

Pros: Sounds great with great base and high tones, product looks nice and has a good build, comes with a nice case and charger.

Cons: Had to return the refurbished item twice, each time i recieved a defect product. First unit left speaker would cut off for hours and then decide to turn on. lots of noise issues two and static. second unit was also defective and worked for only 10 minutes before cutting off and on.

Other Thoughts: Product was tested on 3 different output sources, PS3, PC and HDTV in addition to Iphone on dock station. While 2 refurbished unites were defective, NEWEGG was awesome about their customer support. That's what keeps me coming back is the excellent customer service and acccountability when a product does not meet expectations

1 out of 5 eggsBUYER BEWARE

Pros: excellent audio quality
Optical audio for lossless quality
Ipod dock

Cons: Ok so I knew going into purchasing this product that it is a refurb, and I know that can be hit or miss with functionality (which it shouldn't be if products were tested PRIOR to leaving the warehouse). When I received this product, the outer box looked like it was used as a chair, or stepstool. No big deal because the product inside looked ok... until I inspected further. The base station had all kinds of scuffs, scratchs, and blemishes all over it. As long as it worked, I don't really care becaue again it is a refurb, and it did "function" (as far as the base station is concerned).

Now here is the annoying part: These headphones look like they have been worn for 3 years straight. All of the black foam material is cracking and you can start to see the white cloth webbing. Scuff marks all over the plasstic material on the headband and the rubbery side panels where the buttons are, are all discolored and faded from being pressed so many times.

Even with all of those cons, IF they worked well then I would still give them a 2-3 egg rating because they audio quality is really good on these... BUT I didn't give them that because they DON'T work. The ANR helps, don't get me wrong, but it sounds more like a dull static then noise cancelling. it sounds more like substituting one noise for another noise. On top of that, the left driver on the pair I got was blown/ in the process of blowing. When watching a movie I get a crackling noise in explosions or other very loud noises. Sounds like a blown car speaker.

Other Thoughts: Newegg as a company gets a five egg rating because even though this is a refurbished product that is excluded from returns, they allowed me to return it as well as sent me a shipping label. Their customer service rep was easy to talk to and very helpful in the process (which took no more than ten minutes). Their customer support (along with awesome prices/deals) is the reason I keep buying their products. They are the one company that takes care of their customers and puts the customers first. So even though this product was a bust, I will continue to buy from Newgg as well as recommend Newegg to anyone who needs ANYTHING tech related. Thank you Newegg!

5 out of 5 eggsmy Gosh its like legally stealing

Pros: Im an audiophyle sadly and that has cost myself a lot of money in my lifetime...
these headphones i got for $65 refurbed on newegg
the sound quality equates to that of $150-$200 headphones but on top of that these are wireless or 3.5mm with an iphone dock.
I actually had all the wires and adapters included in the box.
I could easily turn around and sell this as heavily used for $100

Cons: Its a refurb so a few nicks and scratches from normal use.
Active noise canceling is nothing compared to Bose tech.
Due to my audiophyle disease I bought a $700 pair of headphones two weeks after I got these so these became a birthday present to my friend who thinks these sound better than hit Beats and was blown away... ah which isnt hard to beat at all... (beat pun thats why its called beats)...
The drivers on these are HUGE so awesome bass but tears the battery on bass heavy songs (I noticed a difference in battery life from my music choices)
battery life... meh for a refurb hard to tell if its just by design or the life was dwindled from heavy use.

Other Thoughts: couldn't be happier with this purchase I almost feel guilty how cheap these were. Very impressed Vizio didn't you had it in you...
PROPS to Newegg 3day free ship shows up on my doorstep in two they have the best processing system in the world for getting inventory from one place to the carrier's hands at mind blowing speeds.

1 out of 5 eggsNo Battery Replacement Support by Vizio

Pros: Great sound when it works.

Cons: I purchased the Vizio wireless headphones (model XVTHP200) with Active Noise Cancellation 20 months ago and they worked great. Now the rechargeable battery in the headphones needs to be replaced, as do all rechargeable batteries at some point in time. But it cannot be replaced. YES, THAT IS RIGHT; THE BATTERY CAN NOT BE REPLACED! Unlike your cell phone's rechargeable battery which must be replaced periodically, Vizio is marketing an expensive $150+ headphone that must be thrown away when the battery expires. The company has been alerted about this several times but they make excuses. Initially they will refer you to their official repair station but this independent company will not repair the headphones. This repair company has told Vizio this many times but Vizio keeps referring people with this problem to them. They will NOT repair the headphones and the company indicates that if they did, it would cost between $150 and $200 and no one would pay that. But this is not the worst. When Vizio was requested to provide some information for the user to open up the headphones and replace the rechargeable battery, they refused saying the user cannot do that. They also said that the information required to do this replacement (how to remove and replace the battery) is proprietary to Vizio. So in short; they will not provide you with a repair or parts or with a schematic of where the battery is located and how to get at it. BE FOREWARNED, YOU WILL HAVE TO TRASH YOUR $200 HEADPHONES when the rechargeable battery goes bad and it goes bad quickly.

1 out of 5 eggsA real DUD

Pros: Looks nice, and initially appeared to be a quality product; not so, as it turned out...TWICE.

Cons: The first pair I received was "dead"...nothing audible but a bit of static. The replacement pair is the same: no sound other than a slight "hiss" not waste your time or money.

Other Thoughts: While NewEgg was very good about replacing the first one, they would only replace, not refund: now I'm stuck with a piece of junk that is totally useless....does look nice on the shelf though, I must say; what with the pretty lights, and all.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Upgrade

Pros: Excellent sound quality through optical
Great Charging method
Comfortable Ear Cups
Not too heavy

Cons: None So Far

Other Thoughts: I purchased a set of these after my Sennheiser HDR-65's had almost had it.
My wife and I use them every night to watch TV since my kids were born and the oldest one is now 8
They are not as light as the Sennheiser's but they sound great and are comfortable enough to wear for an hour or two.
Any more and they will probably be too heavy for most people. I could use my other headphones all night and never know they are there, but these you can feel after a couple hours. Range is not as good as the Sennheiser's but I am staying still watching TV in bed so its fine. I am very pleased over all and have since retired the Sennheiser's and bought a second pair for my wife to use. Great price for Great sound at the $70 price point. At that price as long as they last a few years I'll be happy

Cons: Range could be a little better.

Other Thoughts: Getting a second set for the bedroom.
