2 out of 5 eggsDissapointed

Pros: Sound quality was good, when it worked.

Cons: The clip broke (as many others said it would on their reviews and I didn't listen to them), leaving me with an unusable headset. It was also somewhat uncomfortable when it did work.

4 out of 5 eggsGood buy

Pros: Great comfort. Huge sound quality and volume. Each channel can be adjusted to your liking. Very long cord with velcro straps. Removable mic.

Probably one of the best you can buy at this price.

Cons: I would prefer a leather-like ear piece, but that is a personal preference and the soft stuff (whatever it is) has been fine.

Other Thoughts: I first bought the version without the amp, but it fell victim to the vacuum cleaner. Mercifully it was the cord portion that could be replaced with the in-line amp.

Not sure why others have had problems with durability. Mine has had no problems as long as the I keep the cord off the floor.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This headset fits any 9 pin Din with no problem and fits any soundcard. The wiring schematic is the same with its competitors(Tritton, Astro) but I can use this headset with the tritton ax360 Dolby digital box so that it works with xbox 360. Great surround sound. great bass. Need a little bit of getting used to but overall great product!

Cons: Nothing so far...

Other Thoughts: Don't fold up the headset otherwise the plastic will break... that's why people broke their headset after 7 months... they fold it...

2 out of 5 eggsYou get what you pay for...

Pros: Decent quality sound for the price.

Cons: Extremely disappointing as far as quality. Not only do they look and feel cheap; they last a total of 5 months with normal use (just taking them on and off).

Other Thoughts: I think for the serious gamer, these really lack in overall quality. Extremely low-grade plastic and life expectancy.

1 out of 5 eggsDont Buy

Pros: 5.1 , Heavy Bass and a unique connection system and a travel bag.

Cons: They Will break in 6 months under heavy 12+ daily usage even people who bought it here who treated the things like they were made off paper had them break in 7 months. I tried everything to fix the broken piece but its impossible because they used cheap Chinese plastic.

Other Thoughts: I am very fruagal and now im spending 90$ to get a better headset.

1 out of 5 eggsCheap Plastic

Pros: Sounds good for the price.

Cons: Broke on me after 7 months of delicate use, it broke where the head strap holds the ear piece on because its made from CHEAP plastic like most of everything is now days. So i guess its time to bring out the big bucks to buy a well constructed pair of headphones made with some sort of metal instead of 99% plastic.

Other Thoughts: Buy speakers so you don't have to move them at all except for the volume knob.

2nd pair of "plastic" (had icemats which were $70 before this) head phones that broke almost in the same spot.

1 out of 5 eggsGamer

Pros: VERY comfortable. i like how it folds and saves some sort of space. Mic is CRISP clear.

Cons: This thing broke on with just beofre 1 year of ownership. Before it broke I had not used it at all in the last few months.
I went to fold it and to find out EVERYTHING that holds the ear piece to the metal wire is plastic. That right, plastic! Nothing metal but 1 screw for the base and 1 screw for the case. Even the clips that hold the wire is plastic and those fell apart too.
Now it's ghetto rigged with a washer and two pieces of plastic i drilled holes to hold the head phones in place.
The surround shound would be great if it worked as normal. I had to use 4.1 surround sound to even hear the subwoofer....otherwise the other 4 speakers worked great.

Other Thoughts: If you are thinking of a head set, steer away from these. Turtle beach needs to start making more quality parts. Platic interior isn't going to do nothing but creak. Invest some more money into your products and I will be a returning customer.

4 out of 5 eggsAmazing Sound

Pros: The 5.1 surround changed my gaming experience like no other, I heard subtle sounds in-game that I had never even noticed even with my high-end sound card. Comes apart in a number of different places which makes it easy to replace parts.

Cons: Somewhat fragile, the little flexible piece in the headband came loose fairly quickly and the casing on the volume control on the cord came open as well but kept working.

Other Thoughts: For the money this is a great headset, not crazy about the volume control on the cord, tends to be more of an inconvenience than a help.

2 out of 5 eggsWorse than expected

Pros: (bad) 5.1 sound. Long cord that never really tangled. Cheap.

Cons: The 5.1 sound is pretty bad. I bought these to be gaming headphones (counter-strike) thinking i'd have an advantage; I could tell where people were better with my stereo headphones... For some apps sound only seems to come through the center channel even after settings all the settings correctly in windows and the app. Ventrilo is really quiet.

As for durability, the day I received these headphones one of the earmuff covers fell off and was VERY hard to get back on. The headphones have a swivel joint so they can fold up, but I never folded them up in months of usage until last week; went to a lan party and when i got back noticed the joint is now broken so they don't lock into place. I've been nothing but very gentle with these headphones.

They also are nut very good ear muffs, they press on my ears (which aren't that big!) and make them sore after an hour or so of use.

Other Thoughts: These were a disappointment in both sound quality and construction; but I guess you get what you pay for.

I'm going back to Sennheiser headphones which have always proved to work well. I bought these to replace my Sennheiser HD280's because they had no mic, now I'm waiting for some 350 gaming headphones from them. Stick with what works, my friends.

1 out of 5 eggsTB X-52

Pros: The quick disconnect is handy?

Cons: Extremely shoddy construction. Sound comparable to a 20$ walmart headset. The pins in the quick disconnect snapped off a week after I bought it, and I was forced to re-solder them back in. The headrest strap popped out of what it was attached to, and I was forced to tape it back together. Finally the folding part of the headset (the part that the rotating cup socket attaches to) fell apart in the act of putting it on my head.

Other Thoughts: I was extremely disappointed in the quality of this headset. For the price I was expecting something that wouldn't... I dunno... just fall apart? Last time I'll buy from this company.

As always newegg rules.
