2 out of 5 eggsLooks Elsewhere

Pros: Looks neat. Excellent microphone.

Cons: Uncomfortable. And that's after having these for well over a year. I also noticed they weren't near as loud as my old Fatal1ty headset. Common problem with one speaker going out due to loose connection in the audio/mic controller built in-wire.

Other Thoughts: They broke taking them off my head. laugh all you want, but these headphones were junk. In build quality, sound quality, and longevity.

2 out of 5 eggsHeavy, cheaply made headphones

Pros: Good audio quality, decent mic quality. The mic is plastic, without any foam, which I like. The mic boom will stay in just about any position you put it in. Headset isn't terribly uncomfortable when you wear it for short periods of time. The mute/volume connector on the cable has a nice clip (though I never used it).

Cons: Won't last long, even when handled carefully. Cheaply made. The huge earpieces barely muffle any outside sound. Hairs and dead skin will get caught in the weirdly-shaped ear cups. The cups will also dent your hair after a small period of use. The headset will become uncomfortably heavy and even painful after prolonged use. The mute switch is functional, but causes a static sound to be projected instead of your voice/whatever you wanted to mute.

Other Thoughts: After two months, the left earpiece stopped playing sound, and I'd have to jiggle the cord for several minutes before it would be fixed. This problem happened several times before it finally became unfixable.

Overall, I would not recommend these headphones.

2 out of 5 eggsBeware

Pros: Cheap, bought this headset on TurtleBeach's website for $15
Clear audio quality
Noise cancellation

Cons: Poor design
Breaks under little to no misuse
Feels heavy after 3+ hrs
Plastic cracks over time

Other Thoughts: Bought this on sale last yr, had my first headset break only 7 months into owning it with no misuse, the band that holds the speakers together on the left side snapped for no reason, 2 months later, same problem but much faster, would not recommend for anyone, however turtle beach's support is willing to help.

1 out of 5 eggsSnapped in half

Pros: Sounded nice

Cons: broken in half just from putting them on my head after about three months. Very poor quality there for something that should not wear out like that

Other Thoughts: Save your money, get something else.

3 out of 5 eggsIt could have been the best headset I've ever owned for the price.

Pros: Awesome sound, incredible fit, long mic for great voice pickup, long cord with mute/volume controls, breathable ear cups are very comfortable for long gaming sessions. Great headset for above-average sized heads, or where mics don't reach the mouth.

Cons: The plastic swivel ear cups seemed a bit flimsy to me from day 1. Slightly cheap plastic feel, but that lowered the weight, so maybe not a con so much...but read on.

Other Thoughts: I've been using this for over a year now and just know it "flops" when you pick it up by one of the sides. The other day, the hinge portion on the left side (not the swivel) cracked partially and I was forced to "fix" it with some tape and glue. It isn't the same as it was and doesn't hug my left ear as firmly as it did in the past. Just a couple days later, the cord coming from the headset separated partially from the extra thick protective rubber encasement coming from the headset itself. I also fixed this with tape. So if I had to estimate, the headset is now performing at about 70% of its ability, is beyond any warranty, and I find this typical of many headsets in this price range (I don't think I've owned a headset last me more than 2 years in any price range). That being said, this headset is well worth the money if you plan on using it for a year. I have enjoyed it thoroughly up until this point.

I wish I could give it 3.5 eggs because its slightly better than 3, but it's just not a 4 egg product in my opinion, just saying.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat, but Breaks Down Quick

Pros: Great headset for about three-4 months depending on how well it's taken care of. The Bass is good, and the cushioning feels very comfortable. I was able to wear this headset for nearly half a day without my ears bothering me. The attached mic is fantastic. My friends would tell me to turn my end down on Skype, and as of now it's on the lowest setting! Don't put the mic directly in front of mouth or you might blow out your friends eardrums.

Cons: I would have recommended this headset to anyone, but the speakers went out on me at about three months after purchase, and then about the sixth month period hit and the right one cut out. The speakers weren't the issue of course, the wires inside the cord are longer, so the potential to break at multiple points on the copper wiring is greatly increased. I wouldn't get this headset unless you know someone who has a soldering iron, and knows how to use it, or wrap the wires yourself to get the signal in the wire to connect again. I would recommend saving up about $40 to get a wireless headset as I have heard the signal can get up to 40 feet. So, again, don't get this unless you understand how to fix your electronics in depth, or you know someone who can.

Other Thoughts: I thought Turtle Beach would have made the cord last a little longer. The cord is longer, so the chase of a copper wire break inside is greatly increased. Do yourself a favor and get a wireless headset brand which is known to be both comfortable and be way more reliable. Some $30 headsets last longer, and are decently comfortable.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat sound but it won't last.

Pros: Amazing sound compare to any headphone at or above its price.

Cons: Cheaply built. My first pair had major cracks on the headband after 6 months of gentle use along with problems such as sound cutting off on either left or right side, end up RMA'd. My second pair had the same problem with the sound on the right side within three weeks of use. The Return department was nice enough to offer me another RMA even though the warranty has already been expired at this time. I've been using the third pair for about three months now and thankfully nothing has gone wrong, yet. Hope it stays that way.

1 out of 5 eggsBad Experience

Pros: Comfort

Cons: Cheaply made

Other Thoughts: After just over a month of use, I had to send the headset in for repairs. The audio just stopped working. 3 weeks later, I sent an email, and they finally decided to send a new headset. Another 3 weeks or so and I break the headset while removing it from my head. The plastic above the ear cup just snapped. I can't recommend this to anyone.

2 out of 5 eggsIt does work, just not for me

Pros: + Looks Sweet.
+ Sound is High quality. That's pretty much it

Cons: - Microphone is weak, especially on a Gigabyte EP45 UD3L Motherboard. You can boost the Mic dB levels in the drivers and in games or programs, but then it would echo.

Other Thoughts: I tested the mic on my toshiba laptop and found that they work quite well on skype. Its just that my laptop is 6 years old and cannot run many games.
