3 out of 5 eggsNot worth it

Pros: Wierless, and bluetooth alowed me to play music and play.

Cons: I don't know if I got a bad one, but on mine the base goes all wiered one me and fluxuates constantley, chat is staticy, and the presets editor soft ware can't find my headset when I hook it up.

Other Thoughts: I only payed 104 $ for it refurbished and could not imagine paying 250$ for this thing.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Headphones for all platforms

Pros: (I now own a pair of Astro A40's with amp so the review will mention the two)

-Very light, does not hurt my head like the Astro A40's.

-Great sound quality. Clear and crisp highs and mids. Comparable to the A40's.

-I LOVE the mic monitoring (hearing your own voice in the headset so you're not shouting).

-Battery life is decent.

Cons: -Ear cups are a little too shallow for my big ears and tend to hurt after an hour or so.

-Bass is very shallow and not very deep. This is 1 area where the Astros beat this TB headset.

-Bluetooth only mic (unless using on XBOX, then it's wired to your controller). If using on PC a cheap dongle will suffice, but it adds to the cost of the headset.

Other Thoughts: BE AWARE that any 7.1 or 5.1 or any surround sound headphones will only be as good as your sound card if using on your PC. This was my first foray into the audio quality world and I learned this the hard way. Quality headsets like this NEED an optical port for one, otherwise you're wasting your money listening to analog with such an expensive headset. The Turtle Beach Audio Advantage Micro II is an easy fix for this, however it only gives expanded stereo, not surround sound. You'll need a sound card with Dolby Digital Live to truly appreciate these or any surround sound headphones on the PC.

4 out of 5 eggsFar from plug and play

Pros: Fair audio and mic quality, nice looking design, tons of features,

Cons: Bluetooth reliant mic, fair audio quality at high price tag

Other Thoughts: This headset for PC is absolutely dependent on the Preset Manager and giving the mic a work out. You can find it at http://www.turtlebeach.com/community/preset-community

Was extremely frustrated with the headset until I fixed it using that

Pros: None

Cons: Very hard to set up correctly, also has a lot of problems working in a home that has other wireless tech being used. No matter the settings I couldnt get the things to work right without turning off ALL my other wifi and bluetooth items, in a home with 6 other wireless toys this just isn't doable. Also, although TB says it CAN BE USED WITH PC, it takes a LOT of set up and only does it half way. Very bad buy, normally I love TB items but this one really crapped out.

5 out of 5 eggsGood RMA experience, and product

Pros: Product seems to work as advertised, but I'm no sound technicien. PX5s definitely as surround effect that, upon downgrading to stereo headphones, they could not handle. If you carefully and gently slip the ear cups over your ears individually (note the swivels) you can get a tight snug fit that shouldn't wear down the pads too quickly, even with larger ears.

Primary reason of review is company's own RMA.
The headphone struts (always too weak for my tastes it seems on any set) snapped, a sent it in as instructed, and got a new one a day after it cleared their chech (two weeks in all or so).

Now, more good stuff after disclaimer - I do not represent Turtle Beach or their policy, this is hearsay.
The RMA process overlooked some self repair work I did - it didn't do further damage to undamaged parts of the unit, but the evidence of it being a plain break had melted away. The sum refurbishment cost for them would be the same and they didn't get all beaureaucratic about it and send it back to me.

Cons: Headset mic seems a little lackluster compared to my desktop mic - it might be related to the bluetooth set up I have, so defer to someone with PS3 on that.

Other Thoughts: I don't have the biggest though and I think they would do well to sell some oversized pads, the device is FAR from uncomfortable though.

If you have the time you can customize the [LEMONS] out of these phonse

5 out of 5 eggsgreat buy

Pros: great headphones..the duel pairing is awesome...sounds is great, very comfortable for long gaming hours, for the 120..there no better wireless Bluetooth headphones out there

Cons: buying batteries is a little annoying, if you have a wireless connection with the same frequency it can interfere but i haven't had this problem..

Other Thoughts: if on sale cant beat this buy..i would get the warranty just in case, i had it for over 3 months an no problem

2 out of 5 eggsNot a good PC option

Pros: Not sure.

Cons: Could not get it to work with my AsRock z77 extreme 4 mobo digital out. However I guess the item is not supported for PC even though it has PC software and instructions.....

Other Thoughts: I'm selling it and going with Logitech or some other wireless headset.

4 out of 5 eggsPretty good

Pros: The sound quality is great, as expected. With the xp500's there was a constant static hum in the background, that was eliminated with the px5's They're very comfortable, I used them for 11 hours straight with little to no discomfort. They have a lot of features, all of which are good. Such as the duel pairing bluetooth, and the presets.

Cons: They aren't rechargeable, which is good to in a way. Like when your in the middle of a session and your headset dies, you just change the batteries which only takes a few seconds, and you can get back to your game. So if you get this headset I'd suggest buying rechargeable batteries as well.

Other Thoughts: The wireless RF runs at the same frequency as my wi-fi router, I was worried there would be interference, but there wasnt.
