1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: None

Cons: Fell apart within first week of use.

Other Thoughts: These were a gift to a 12 year old. Granted, he is rough on things, he has owned several pairs of headsets in the past, and all of them have lasted at least a couple years. This one didn't even make it a week. I thought Turtle Beach made quality products before I bought this.

4 out of 5 eggsIt broke.

Pros: -Alright sound quality.
-Mic seems to be fine.

Cons: -It hurts after you wear it for more than an hour.
-Not that durable.

Other Thoughts: When I have to use a mic, I just wear some other standard headphones and wear these around my neck.

1 out of 5 eggsNot worth it.

Pros: Cheap
Good sound for price

Cons: Poor design
Will fail sooner rather than later

Other Thoughts: I read all the reviews so I thought I knew what I was getting into. I bought these on a shell shocker deal for like $10 bucks as a temporary headset until I could get what I really wanted. These things didn't last a week.

The problem is the earphones fold up into the headset and they screw into the plastic swivel with 2 screws. The design just doesn't work. I used them 2 or 3 times before the plastic that the screws go in broke. Tried taping it, but it never really felt right after. Do yourself a favor and just wait and get a good set of headphones, these are a waste of money.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent FOR PRICE

Pros: CHEAP!!! (Bought this for ~$10 or so).
All my friends says my mic sounds really clear online.
For $10, the sound quality is superb!

Before buying this headset, I read the reviews here and many have said how fragile it is and how it breaks with one drop or something. For the first month, I was really cautious and treated this thing with upmost care. Now, I just use it like any other piece of equipment, and unfortunately dropped them from my desk on a few occasions. So far, they have come out strong. A nice piece of equipment.

Cons: Can get a bit uncomfortable, especially when left in same position over the ears for an extended period of time. The ear pads are a bit small and my ears start to hurt after about 30 minutes - 1 hour. However, again for the price, I really can't complain.

2 out of 5 eggsGood, but mic doesnt work.

Pros: The sound is good, not great but good, and it seems to be comfortable.

Cons: The mic never worked. I've been using these for listening, I just now noticed it and I'm trying to figure out how I can get it fixed. Newegg isn't being very helpful.

3 out of 5 eggsLooked comfy, not so much.

Pros: They're nice, especially for the price.
Great sound, exactly the kind of quality you'd expect from turtle beach.
Voice quality of the microphone is surprisingly clear.

Cons: After about an hour they start to squish my ears. They look like they'd have some sort of cushion, but there's really not much between the plastic and your ears. I'm definitely going to upgrade to something nicer and more comfortable, but they're nice to have as a cheap alternative or a backup.
The microphone doesn't cancel out background noise very well.

3 out of 5 eggssound awesome

Pros: sound awesome , and newegg rocks!!

Cons: very, very poor design and cheaply constructed.I bought 2 pair both pair had to be superglued and/or taped up to keep ear pieces attached the only reason I kept them was they sounded good and now my grandkids have headsets to use and they leave their pawpaws alone

Other Thoughts: this is the first NON-5 STAR I ever gave to a newegg product

2 out of 5 eggsNice for the price?

Pros: I got this headset on the Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale for cheap. They arrived in a timely manner and worked well enough. The sound is clear and the option to adjust volume on the cord is a choice I appreciate being able to make.

Cons: Today I tried to put them on and the right side snapped clean, dangling from the wire. I've owned Turtle Beach headsets in the past and every set has broken in the same manner even though I haven't had similar problems with other brands.

Other Thoughts: If these hadn't snapped they would have been a great deal, they obviously aren't the BEST in clarity and quality but for the price if they last you longer than they did me, I'd say that they're worth the price.

2 out of 5 eggsCheap Headphones

Pros: When I used the headphones after I duck-taped the pieces together, the sound was good, and my friends heard me great on the microphone.

Cons: The headphones broke at the moment I tried putting them on. Cheap, cheap material.

Other Thoughts: Spend the extra money for better headphones.
