1 out of 5 eggsStay Away!!

Pros: It had great sound when it worked
It's mic was great as it worked

Cons: The cord to the headset broke and exposed all the wiring over normal use in 4 months.

The breaking of the cord caused the mic to have a loud whining sound when talking to people online.

The breaking of the cord first caused the right speakers to go out then the left in the matter of a month.

Other Thoughts: The reason I could find why the cord came apart so easily and quickly was due to the shortness of the hard plastic "protecting" the exit of the cord from the head piece. This short "protector" had short edges and quickly tore the cord apart causing my problem.

I used to trust turtlebeach, But after seeing what happened to this product I will never touch another product made by them. I take very good care of my things I still have the org ps one FF7 without a single scratch on the disc's for pete's sake.

If I were you I would stay away from this product and if I had the product I would keep the receipt close at hand, I did not so I can only buy another set, You can be sure it will not be a turtlebeach due to the shoddy workmanship.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat While It Lasted

Pros: Good Sound quality and very comfortable, and great cord length.

Cons: I bought this headset about 8 months ago and kept it in great condition on a headset stand that I have but for some reason the left headphone suddenly stopped working all together. No warning, no tugging or pulling on the cord whatsoever, and not even heavily used. Just stopped working out of the blue and the warranty wont cover it.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat budget headset

Pros: Does what it's supposed to. It's not meant to, but it does cancel some outside sound. I only use it for gaming/chatting with friends but the bass and treble are crisp and clear. Been goin' strong for over a year now with no real complaints.

Cons: The mute button on the cord will sometimes relay whatever is going through my headphones to my microphone. Lossed an egg for this.

Other Thoughts: Good budget headset for gaming. Turtle Beach is also a great company when it comes to RMA's and refunds.

1 out of 5 eggsGreat for a bit

Pros: Great fit, and its sound is top notch

Cons: Terrible mic quality and contstruction. I have ordered two, the first one came in terrible packaging but worked like a charm until it snapped while sitting on my head. The next one i had had a messed up cord that would create popping if managable and until recently didn't cause a problem until it stopped working. I will probably never buy from this company again. One time is fine but twice...nope

Other Thoughts: Could be a little more breatable but is comfy and a good decent pair for the price...if it doesnt fall apart.

5 out of 5 eggsVery good headset for the gamer on a budget

Pros: Price

Cons: Very flimsy, Ear cushions might hurt when you're wearing eyeglasses, Easy to break/damage

Other Thoughts: I bought another one of the Earforce Z11 from turtle Beach the one I sent as an RMA didn't get to them somehow I guess the USPS must have lost it or something but enough about that. Z11 is a gaming headset for gamers on the budget the headsets are very loud you can even hear the sound when you take them off. The acoustically angled 50mm speakers deliver a very good gaming experience the package includes the headset and a adapter for the 3.5 mm adapter to connect to PCs, notebooks, and macs. The ear cushions around the headset are very comfortable however, if you're in glasses like I do they will begin to bother you in a matter of minutes so please keep that in mind while you're playing with your glasses on. The microphone is a high sensitive microphone attached to a flexible boom that can be turned left and right the package also comes with an owners manual any Turtle Beach sticker. The volume control works fine and there is a microphone mute button that can be turned on and off at a touch of a button you can also attach the volume control to your shirt or any part of your clothes. And I have to say this is my second Z11 I have bought from Turtle Beach I have to stress that the return policy does not cover accidental damage so you do have to take care of your headset and try not to make it fall on the floor or damage it by accident overall this is a good headset for the gamer who doesn't want to shell out $200 for headset and you won't be disappointed with your purchase. I've also read in the reviews that the headset can be a bit flimsy and I have to agree with people on but as I said before please take care in not making it fall to the ground and accidentally damaging it.

Note: I almost forgot to say that the connection for the Z11 is a 3.5 mm, 4-pole audio/mic connection with these basically being connected this to your smart phone as well.

5 out of 5 eggsVery comfortable, decent sound.

Pros: Unlike most headphones that usually features some kind of padded plastic around the earpiece, this uses a mesh/foam material that's way more comfortable. The cups and frame are actually big enough for my giant ears/head. The sound is pretty good, and the build quality is very good.

Cons: The cups seem "loose", not likely an issue in any way other than if you shake it the cups rattle.

Other Thoughts: Haven't made use of the mic yet.
The cord has a detach point with a smartphone style 4-conductor TRS plug, but the full cord has the PC-style plugs.
$35 is the most I've ever spent on headphones, and I have to say it really is worth the extra cash.

2 out of 5 eggsDesign flaw

Pros: Good mic. Decent sound quality with good bass. Fairly comfortable.

Cons: There are flexible strain reliefs on the cord everywhere except where the cord enters the headset (why?). In only 5 or 6 weeks the outer case on the cord pulled away exposing the wires there. In another month or so the wires broke. No sound on one side and very low on the other.

Other Thoughts: I don't recommend buying one of these until they fix the major design flaw. In less than 3 months they were in the trash only because the cord broke at a weak point. Very disappointing.

4 out of 5 eggsGets the job done

Pros: This headset does what you want it to...provides a comfortable, quality experience and is sturdy enough to stand up to the typical things a headset will go through: food, cord getting rolled over, being dropped, etc. I've had it a little over a year now and can only think that the people who have broken or shorted ones are just taking very poor care of's a 35 dollar headset, and I really expected NOTHING out of these. I've been pleasantly surprised at how well they have performed. Great directionality for games like bf4, and they handle voice chat communication very clearly whether I'm using push to talk or a free talk mode in Skype or Raidcall. Comfortable...the earpiece is open air, meaning that you can hear noises in the room quite well, if just slightly muffled. I have a larger head, and they don't squeeze too much and the top of the headband has NEVER caused me any discomfort.

Cons: When you use the sound slider on the cable, at low volumes the sound will cut out on one ear piece before the other. The fabric on the ear pieces is a tad difficult to clean if you get something on it. Not deal breakers to me...

Other Thoughts: I would buy these again in a heartbeat. Got them in a quick fix and fell in love with them. I still want a super nice pair of $100+ headphones/headset, but these work perfectly if you're on a budget. I've worn them for over 20 hours straight and had no discomfort - a huge factor in me liking them.

1 out of 5 eggsWaste of money

Pros: Price.

Cons: Turtle Beach's warranty policy. Build Quality. Sound Quality. Comfort. Other issues.

Other Thoughts: I bought these from Best Buy(another bad choice) because I needed them in an emergency. My old Gamecom 1 from 1999 finally died and we were raiding the next night and couldn't wait for them to be shipped. So basically, these headphones are nothing but cheap junk. I haven't been in the market for headphones for over a decade. I bought my Gamecom 1's back in 1999 for $20. They finally gave up the ghost but they were perfect headphones. Great sound, awesome comfort and lasted forever. I figured, things should have only improved over time right? WRONG! It seems like unless you spend $80+, you're basically buying a piece of junk. So back to these headphones, I went off of the rating here but I am going to say, these are 1 star headphones. Out of the box, the right speaker was lower than the left unless the volume wheel was maxed out(not a huge issue for me because I would max it anyways). The comfort was ok for the first hour or so, then the pad on top would actually start to leave an indent in my head. The pad is actually pretty stiff. The ear cups are made of a weird material and if you wear glasses(like I do) the ear cups "squeak" against the frame, highly annoying! The sound is decent but definitely "hollow" sounding. You might be saying "well they were only $40, what do you expect?" well to that, I will mention my Gamecom 1's(which you can'y buy anymore). Those headphones were 10 times better in every way and were half the cost! But wait, I haven't even gotten to the worst part yet. A few days ago, the right speaker stopped working completely. I found out that tapping on the volume/mute module would then fix the issue for a little bit. This was what I had enough and tried to take them back to Best Buy. Guess what... 15 day return policy and I was on day 17. Like I said earlier, my 2nd mistake was buying these from Best Buy. So then I contact Turtle Beach and they offer to replace it but that I have to pay for the shipping there. At that point, I gave up. Why should "I" have to pay to ship a defective part back to the manufacturer? It's bad enough that I have to go though all of this in the first place, but now I have to spend $10-$15 to get my $40 headset replaced? I don't think so... So in the end, if you're looking for a comfortable headset with good build quality, good sound and great comfort, buy a Gamecom 780. That is what I ended up going with and couldn't be happier. They run $80.
