2 out of 5 eggsBunk for the Buck

Pros: Reasonably solid construction.
Bluetooth works well enough.

Cons: COMFORT
Very heavy. (Heaviest headphones I've ever worn)
Very strong clamping pressure (uncomfortable, like it's trying to crush your head)
Shallow ear cups. (Don't be fooled by the picture, the can is mostly electronics, no room for your ears.)
FEATURES
Atrocious wireless link. (Static and signal loss rather often, even when sitting less than a foot from the fob.)
No software controls for things like EQ.
No realtime monitoring for mic.
SOUND
I wouldn't call it 'surround sound', more like artificial sound-stage expander, and it doesn't feel like it wraps around behind you either.
An exhausting listen: (Overly harsh highs, and a bloated mid-range that sounds more like harmonic room-modes than mids)
Extremely lackluster bass. (I have a dozen pairs of headphones, and I used to think the TB x11's had awful bass. These beat it. They're worse.)

Other Thoughts: I was unbelievably disappointed with these headphones. I was a fan of the TB x11's for their comfort and realtime mic monitoring. (They didn't sound too great, but I could wear them all day.)
These though, for almost $300? Disgusting.
I'd recommend looking elsewhere for wireless headphones.
Have a look at the Logitech G930. They're almost half the price and have a great software suite to tweak them. (They sound pretty good too.)

1 out of 5 eggsloved it until it broke

Pros: Great sound and Microphone. Software and updates all good.

Cons: Adjustable plastic side broke after one year. Totally unacceptable for a $180 head set!

2 out of 5 eggs$39 headset for $200

Pros: 1.) Sound quality is good for games
2.) 2 simultaneous inputs
3.) Mic is not as problematic as with older models

Cons: 1.) Extremely short wireless range
2.) Annoying, low quality voice prompts that stop your audio when they play
3.) Cheap, problematic USB receiver that loses connection when you're 12 inches away from it.
4.) Shallow, poor sound quality for music. The much less expensive PX3 has better sound quality.
5.) Low Battery prompt doesn't always work, and so sometimes it just turns off without warning.
6.) Short battery life. Not even close to advertised 14 hours.
7.) Receiver is flimsy and feels like it's going to break when you click the pairing button.

Other Thoughts: Just skip these. I got them on a black friday sale for $89 and even for that price I'm highly disappointed. I love the PX3, except for the fact that when it powers off, the whole thing has to be reset to make the microphone work again. That's the only reason I 'upgraded.' The quality and build of this headset feels like it's a $39 Logitech that I bought at Target.

The sound quality is fine for gaming. There is some, but not much noise canceling.

Just skip this and get something else. $200? Really?

2 out of 5 eggsGood but don't last

Pros: The sound was good... that's about all i can say for the pros

Cons: The transmitter went out within a month of having this headset and Turtle Beach didn't have any transmitters in stock.

Other Thoughts: I contacted Turtle beach and they did a RMA for a new set but when the new set arrived it was the Turtle Beach I60's. I wasn't sure about the boom-less MIC on the I60's but now I would not trade back to the Z300's

1 out of 5 eggsKinda a bummer

Pros: Very comfortable and bluetooth works great.

Cons: So the main issue with these headphones is the drivers. I have a clean install of windows 8.1 and every time i boot my computer the driver doesn't seem to load properly. So my headset is not detected and i have to unplug the USB dongle and replug it back in evertime I reboot or start up my computer. VERY ANNOYING!!! So i went to the turtle beach web site thinking they would have updated drivers. NOPE!!! these where released over six months ago with beta driver version 1.0 and thats all there is. There are no updated drivers and it refuses to update using turtle beaches Audio Hub update program. It doesn't even register with the pc. So I would really avoid buying these. I called customer service and they told me that unplugging and replugging the device is the best fix for the problem.... What!!!! Seriously!! why don't you turtle beach fools update your drivers for this near 200 dollar headset. Super sad. Well the Stealth 450 pc headset is coming out in the next few months so I am looking foward to see turtle beach redeem them selves. Maybe this new pc headset will actually not have a &^%* load of firmware and Driver issues.

Other Thoughts: Just skip these. Its super embarrassing when a audio company like turtle beach just doesn't give a *&%$ about keeping up with its pc market consumers. I mean its been over six months and not driver updates from when this thing was release,,, just shameful...

4 out of 5 eggsGood

Pros: Bluetooth compatible, Great that I can play my game and sync my phone to it at the same time the mic works great and it really does lower the sound when talking on the phone. Great investment for those days when the wife calls you and your gaming. No longer have to pause the game or ignore the call you can pick it up straight from the headset. Has multiple gaming modes though never used them and the compression really doesn't help. But the sound is outstanding. Battery time is excellent and even then you can plug it in and charge it while you use them. I have even used them to walk the dog while on the phone in between game rounds.

Cons: Because of the wireless technology it does seem to cut in and out from time to time maybe to three times in a row in a long gaming session seems to get angry after 4-5 hours of use at a time.
The charging cable is short so it does make charging while wearing it difficult .

Other Thoughts: wish they could of not made it wireless but still had the 7.1 sound and bluetooth capability all great set.

1 out of 5 eggsTech Support is Terrible

Pros: It looks like it is quality and the earphones sound impressive

Cons: The mic doesn't work and there is no phone support. There is only email which takes forever. There tech support is so bad that I would never buy this product or anything else from Turtle Beach

1 out of 5 eggsTerrible Product - Worse Support

Pros: Wireless + Bluetooth, can use with phone and PC simultaneously.

Cons: Where to start...
1. They are small and uncomfortable. Don't really fit over ears, but shape and size make them pinch your ears.
2. Tons of firmware issues!
a. Microphone stopped working, for RF only(still worked bluetooth) until I did a firmware update.
b. Said firmware update made it so my headset will no longer connect to the receiver...
4. Lack of software / arrived late and lacked features. I waited 3 months after I received the headset before there were any downloads at all from TB.

Other Thoughts: Chat support is unhelpful, trying to run me through the same steps that I already performed.

Easier to just throw them away and never buy another Turtle Beach product again then to try and make them fix them.

1 out of 5 eggsFor being such a big name, very dissapointing.

Pros: Connects to phone and PC at the same time - EXCELLENT!

Cons: 1 I have had this unit replaced 5 times since first purchasing it. It has failed between the headset and transmitter most of the time, just out of now where, it stops transmitting (or receiving, hard to say which)

2 For a Major Brand, they need a call center, this "You email me, and I'll email you" is for the birds, if you have several test you have to go through with them, it takes 2 weeks just to get all the emailing done.

3 The product doesn't hold up. Five replacements proves that.

4 Ear Cups are too shallow, they will bite a hole in your ear. I have rubber banded several layers of soft tissue over them to "soften" the rubbing.

5 Sound is NOT worth $200.00. I have another headset that cost 50.00 that sounds as good or better, and definitely fit more comfortably.

Other Thoughts: The features on this headset are excellent, it's a shame they didn't spend as much time making them comfortable, and durable. If they wouldn't break down and fit better I would definitely want to keep them.
