1 out of 5 eggsTurtle Beach Z22 Chat drivers failed to install.

Pros: The headphones are solid themselves. Typical turtle beach headset style, no real problems with the form or shape. The sound is good and this version does have a wide array of working with volume, volume of your microphone, treble, bass, and a "quiet" version of mic being on.

Cons: However, if you're using this for PC only, good luck. You're going to need it. If your drivers fail to download, there's no helping you. There's no support for this problem on their website, either. It works for some computers, others, no luck. I tried these on two different computers that both had windows 7 installed. One worked like a charm -- the other, not a chance, not on any of the USB ports, sped up or otherwise.

Definitely not impressed with this at all. No idea why they had to change their hardware to -- maybe -- work like this.

Other Thoughts: If even a driver was offered for people who are experiencing this issue, I wouldn't have been so disappointed. Still, that amount of work just to plug your headset in and get it working seems completely asinine.

1 out of 5 eggsgo elsewhere

Pros: sound great when they work.

Cons: 3rd pair of Turtle Beach headphones that have quit. I began to have a driver issue with the headphones. Turtle Beach has NO SUPPORT for you to go and download the drivers. So i now have a useless pair of headphones. Thanks.

1 out of 5 eggsCheap

Pros: Sounds ok for gaming , but no big deal. The sound would not be my main reason for buying them. The name TURTLE BEACH was. I thought this meant some thing.

Cons: Cheaply made with brittle cheap plastic. "Hard but liable to break or shatter easily ".This is the second pair I had in a year,(I take good care of my gear) thy cracked in the same place each time. I cant be the only one they have heard from about this.

Other Thoughts: For the money you spend on this you can get better. Coast me at the time $91.98.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: - Low power consumption
- Audio controls on amplifier
- Drivers installed automatically on Windows 8.1
- Decent sound quality for the price
- Phone support works flawlessly

Cons: - Even fully extended, the ear pads don't extend far enough to my liking. Previous models were just fine.
- Would not suggest for studio work. Get something by Sennheiser or Shure.

Other Thoughts: Works just fine on Skype and on my phone, so I have no real issues with this. Purchased it on sale for around $70 and I'm happy with my purchase. Works flawlessly for gaming, especially with the chat boost.

2 out of 5 eggsSoft, can hear well, mic doesn't work

Pros: - Soft padding for ear
-O.K quality sound so far

Cons: -Driver won't install
-Isn't recognized by system
-Mic doesn't work AT ALL

Other Thoughts: Turtle Beach Support is terrible, I wouldn't bother with this if you count support as one of your selling points. Didn't expect this kind of quality but to each his own.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Buy!

Pros: Memory Foam, sound quality, functions, auxiliary, mic quality.

Cons: none that I can think of.

Other Thoughts: Make sure you go through the quick quide and set this up properly!!!!! There are a couple of reviews that say the sound isn't that loud or the microphone does not work. All of these problems are solved with proper installation!!

I tried this out on Skype with some friends and they instantly recognized the increased voice quality and referred to it as "studio quality"

5 out of 5 eggsIf it's too loud you are too old!

Pros: This thing is amazing! i cannot get enough of how clear the sound is, i used to own a Turtle Beach EarForce X11 wired headset a few years ago and knew that when i got this that i wouldn't be let down! crisp clean sound and the noise cancelling effects do a worlds good when recording video's or talking on team speak to clan mates.. a must buy if you are really wanting some good quality sounds!

Cons: None so Far!

4 out of 5 eggsGreat for the price

Pros: Comfortable for long sessions, more than decent MIC quality, Decent ventilation, More than adequate drivers especially for the price range, Separate volume control for chat and AUX input.

Cons: No ambient sound cancellation, Mic boom a tad short for me

Other Thoughts: Not sure what some people on here are talking about, but all features work perfect under Win8 and Win 8.1 with no additional setup needed. Mic is very audible to everyone i've ever talked to. The 50mm drivers have proven more than adequate and accurate enough during gaming, Id never use it for my production work, but thats because I have a $300 headset for that.
