5 out of 5 eggsBest headset i have ever had

Pros: Good sound
surround sound really make you feel like you are in the game
durability is pretty good

Cons: The only con is they are actually to loud. I like loud music and i have never really had it over 20% volume.

Other Thoughts: They lasted me for about 2 years before i had any durability problems and i have kept them together with some glue and epoxy.
I have never just been rough with them but any of these all plastic headphones are gonna break.

They don't beat other headset in every category but for the price and quality in all categories really is what makes them good

2 out of 5 eggsAwesome but not so awesome

Pros: Excellent sound and force feedback for its time.

Cons: Sounds terrible on windows vista and higher. It's meant for XP. Cheap plastic went through about 4.

Other Thoughts: Will never buy them again unless they upgrade to windows 7.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat but be careful

Pros: Great sound, force feedback, comfort. Very happy so far.

Cons: cheap feeling low grade plastic

Other Thoughts: Got these from another vendor as the egg stopped selling them for awhile. I love these headphones but I am scared to death they will break. So far so good after 6 months. If these were just a little better made they would be unbeatable.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat - But...Not durable

Pros: - Great Sound (great for gaming and music)
- Loud bass, especially with the option to adjust a rumble option on the wire. I never turned it all the way, but cool addition anyhow.
-Mic was crystal clear in games (at least everyone said it was)
-Earphones were comfy and could be worn for extended hours
-Overall really good headset for gaming

Cons: - Durability sucks! I've bought two pairs of these and the first pair I had for about 6 months, dropped off my desk and the plastic earpiece broke completely, exposing the wiring. Tape was a temporary solution, but then the mic and sound went bad. Got a new pair and just thought I'd be more careful. Next pair, after 8 months, fell of my desk (ya, and not a 6 foot tall desk lol), but this time both earpieces broke. I mean c'mon. I would hope they could withstand a 3 ft. drop. But no.
- The material on the earpieces begin to deteriate after about 6 months.
- Besides the durability issue, it's really not a bad headset, but due to my frustration, I am not looking for a new headset and this will not be an option.
-Can't affor to have them break so soon.

4 out of 5 eggsExcellent Sound Quality

Pros: Excellent sound quality for all applications: Gaming, Movies, and Music.

Ear pads are large and comfortable. I regularly wear them for 12 plus hours without any discomfort. I wear glasses and there is no discomfort with headphones on.

Adjusts well to head contour.

Solid microphone performance, I never had any issues.

Excellent tech support/customer support and warranty replacement.

Excellent head set for the price, better than many higher priced sets I have tried.

Cons: The plastic on my headset has broken now for the fourth time on the fourth different set. I have replaced the headset 3 times now under warranty.

The first break was in an odd location, on the ear piece where the plastic is quite thick. Most likely a fluke.

However, the next three breaks have all happened in the exact same spot, on the plastic adjustment band that slides in/out of the headband. This is what allows you to adjust for your head size. I do frequently take the head set off and put it back on, but still, I have yet to have a pair last me a year. All four have broken on me within the 6 to 9 month range, although this last one here might be close to a year. Irregardless, for the cost on the headset, it is odd that it keeps breaking in the same place over and over.

I am quite gentle with my headset and have never dropped, sat on, or in any other way done anything to cause undue stress on them. Simply putting them on and taking them off.

Other Thoughts: I suppose it's possible I just happened to get 4 head sets in a row with weakened plastic, but I find that highly unlikely.

4 out of 5 eggsSolid Headset

Pros: Solid Sound. Mainly used for gaming and it produced 5-star sound.
I've only had a couple of headsets, but this one has the longest longevity to date, lasting for about 2.5 - 3 years before the padding on the ear cups started flaking off, but rather than that they still work great.
I replaced this headset with a Turtle Beach Z6 which has notorious problems with the wires breaking inside line. I never had that problem with this headset in the slightest. Just be careful not to drop the headset as the ear cup can break off if banged around too much, but nothing a little super glue can't fix.

Cons: I bought my headset several years ago so they're newer headphones may have been improved over the model I have, but with mine you have to talk loud for the mic to pick up and the cushioning on the earcups could be a little thicker. Your ears can become sore after long hours of wear as cushioning on the inside of the earcup that covers the speaker itself is very thin and can chafe the tips of your ears.

Other Thoughts: The subwoofer is decent, some people complain about too much rattle but you just have to adjust it down to be appropriate with the volume level. I've just kept it at about half power and that has worked fine for me.
So in all this is a rather durable headset that should last you for a long time and provide years of excellent audio.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Headset

Pros: Great sound Great company Great warrenty. Got mine on sale here at newegg over a year ago. Newegg had quit selling them for sometime . Now I see that their back. Good choice. I have sent in two pair for repair and they have always sent me a new set.

Cons: Could be cooler and weigh less but then the quality wouldn't be there.

Other Thoughts: Wished that they were cooler and lighter.
