Bring more accurate maneuvering and control to your desktop with the Optical 3-Button ScrollPoint Mouse PS/2 & USB 800 dpi sensor. The 800dpi optical sensor is more accurate and faster than before. The ScrollPoint pointing stick is ideal for both horizontal and vertical scrolling, unlike standard wheel mice. Optical technology provides precision control and has no mechanical ball, thus there is no need for a mouse pad.

Pros: none

Cons: this doesn't even look that good for 30 dollars, u want some looks to, i bought to have these for my grandma and mom and as u can see they dont play games just email etc... so after like 3 days they both died, and this mouse goes in all of the schools 4 years ago, that scroll-er is old!

Pros: Scroll through large documents without getting tendonitis

Cons: Takes a little getting used to

Other Thoughts: This is THE MOUSE that every software developer needs! If you use the scroll wheel on your mouse to jump up and down your files constantly this will work much better and will prevent fatiguing/damaging your scroll finger.

Pros: The motion accuracy is good except at very low speeds. There is a middle button above the scrollpoint, it looks small but it is actually pretty comfortable to use. The scrollpoint is shaped so that you can rest your finger on it when using the middle button. The sides of the mouse have a rubberized feel.

Cons: At very slow speeds the cursor motion squares off, making it less than ideal for gaming or art. You have to hold the mouse in place while using the scrollpoint due to the resistance which is a bit uncomfortable. The scrolling speed is way too fast. The driver is ancient and doesn't allow the speed to be lowered enough. It also provides a sensitivity control but the lowest setting is higher than without the driver installed, so I don't use the driver at all. The only way I can use the scrollpoint is by using a scrolling plugin in Firefox or Chrome to slow it down. It works well but then the highest speed isn't fast enough.

Other Thoughts: I was looking for a mouse with 3 actual buttons (no scroll wheel) and found this. I liked the idea of the scrollpoint, it's too bad it doesn't work well. It also works with Mac OS X but the horizontal scrolling is reversed.
