Pros: The cardboard box was nice. Even brown all the way around.

Cons: DOA out of the box. No Spin. Had to pay return shipping. The price dropped 30 bucks 3 days after order.

Pros: Still good web cam for Windows XP

Cons: Has some issues with web cam with my new Windows that had few problems with driver. I did bought other one from local store that has no problem with Windows 7

Other Thoughts: I know it still new OS Windows 7. I hope It will resolved that problem in future. I will come back with my orginal web cam if the problems has been fixed for W7. It still in great shape for over 2 years.

4 out of 5 eggsReliable webcam

Pros: I bought this cam because I needed something that would reliably work with Mac, Linux and Windows and this does easily (though this is mostly thanks to Firewire IIDC). I telecommute cross-country and occasionally need to do video chat.
- Manual focus (for my stationary use this is a definite plus)
- Chainable (I only have 1 - but a plus in my book)

Cons: - No mic - this is the only reason I knock a star/egg.
- I keep the cam and tripod on a slick desk and the (somewhat stiff) firewire cable can skew the tripod.
- No monitor clip ( I could maybe tape/rig the tripod to the back - but it certainly wouldn't be natural )

Other Thoughts: Some apps don't seem to take advantage of the cam's full bandwith (Skype, GTalk) and seem a little laggy. For other apps (Photobooth on Mac) that can - the cam has quite excellent response.

3 out of 5 eggsFirei webcam

Pros: Good quality of video that the other party is receiving

Cons: expensive and the software that came with the unit does not work have to download another software to make it work and not stall

5 out of 5 eggsCool Web Cam

Pros: Working well and dont need a software for that. Windows XP got it by auto.. Did tested with that on Skype.com. It did pretty good. The video was very clear.

Cons: not yet

Other Thoughts: What a neat web cam! Can use that for video chat with ASL Sign Langange

5 out of 5 eggsCCD vs CMOS

Pros: Wow! Great picture even in lower light levels(light from my LCD monitor is almost sufficient). Slightly better picture than my Logitech camera that is also CCD.

Cons: Can't get a CCD camera for under $100.00 firewire interface almost stopped me but I have one Firewire port in my sound card and that worked with this camera.

Other Thoughts: No matter what the manufacturers tell you CCD sensors are far superior. The only good thing about CMOS is they are cheaper. Mini tripod is a little hard to work with. Wish it was USB and included a monitor grip like my other CCD camera from Logitech. Even with minor inconveniences the picture quality pushes it back up to 5 stars. Newegg was great as always but I wish they had a broader selection of CCD cameras. I did not use the included software so I can't say how good it is.
