5 out of 5 eggsGreat Mouse for the price

Pros: The shape is just perfect for my hand, Grip is awesome for its rather small size. The finish is great, its quite light and easy to move. The buttons and scroll wheel all work perfectly and the onboard memory lets you save your settings if you use it on other computers. The DPS buttons makes adapting to games much easier. Overall a great mouse for its price range

Cons: The program to change button settings is rather limited, more so I found the original button placement optimal at least for my uses so the program ended up being rather useless.

Other Thoughts: Definitely a good mouse that anyone should give a look at

2 out of 5 eggsClose, but not quite there

Pros: Mouse dimensions are great. I've been looking for a mouse that didn't sit too tall (better for preventing carpal tunnel) and this one fits the bill. The buttons feel good for the most part, although I'd prefer the side buttons to be positioned one above the other (its easier to move your thumb up and down then it is to move it forward and back)

Cons: I planned to map the side buttons to modifier keys (alt, ctrl, shift) which is very helpful when playing games that require a lot of key bindings.

The remapping software does not handle this scenario. Although you can remap modifier keys to the side buttons, holding down these buttons does not hold down the modifier key. In other words, clicking and holding (which is how modifier keys are used) acts the same as clicking and immediately letting go, which makes remapping modifier keys utterly useless.

After reading some reviews online, I decided to contact the manufacturer first (in case the issue was fixed in an update). I described exactly what I was looking for and was told that the mouse could do it.

I went on and purchased the mouse only to find out that the above-mentioned mapping problem still exists. I contacted customer service and after an exchange of a few emails, was told that the software flat out can not do what I was looking for.

It seems like a lot of people have been bringing up this issue. I don't think it would have been a very difficult thing to add some functionality into the software to handle these cases.

Other Thoughts: This is the first mouse I've purchased that wasn't a Logitech or razer product. I would have been a convert if not for the software issues.

Going forward I probably won't be purchasing any more CM products. I don't trust their software and I don't think I can trust what I'm told.

Manufacturer Response:

Hi,

I'm sorry for all of the confusion surrounding the capabilities of this mouse. Though it can still support macros and simple one click modifiers, the advance technique which you wanting is currently not supported by this mouse or most of the mice that we carry. I apologize for the inconvenience. We are working on creating an indept knowledge base to help with these inquiries in the future for customers to reference through our CM FANZONE. We keep adding new guides every day. If you still have any additional questions or concerns about any future device, please call us at 888.624.5099 or use the Livechat/Ticket functions from within Fanzone.

3 out of 5 eggsbad customer service

Pros: Ok so I actually love this mouse. I did a lot of research on a mouse for a wide, short hand with a claw grip. This fits my hand like it was made for it. My only complaints about its features are NOT ENOUGH BUTTONS. I'd love a tilting scroll wheel, at least. It's the customer service why I am rating this mouse low. I will be happy to update if circumstances warrant.

Cons: OKAY so here's the problem. The wheel button is mushy and causes undesired clicks. It clunks from side to side. So I went to CM's site to initiate an RMA. I used FB to sign up for the account, I scanned in my receipt, and entered the serial # of the mouse. No problem, right? OOPS except then I got email from a support representative saying:

My name is Miguel and I will be assisting you with your question.
Have you created a Fanzone account, if you have not created one you will need to create one, and then register your product. As, soon as you do this you will have the option to create an RMA request. Follow all the steps and we will replace your RMA, as soon as we receive your product.

Then he closed my ticket. I did make an account, I did register my product and getting this email made me so effin mad!

Other Thoughts: SO YEAH I am pretty p-o'd at CM's support right now. I gave them everything they asked for, and they kicked it back and closed the ticket.

Manufacturer Response:

Hi Dave,

I incredibly apologize for this situation and miscommunication. Please call us at 888.624.5099 or visit the fanzone again to speak to us via Livechat. Please have your previous RMA number handy and let us have a chance to clear up this mistake.

Please let us help make this better.

Respectfully,

5 out of 5 eggssoft clicks

Pros: The button clicks are very soft -- keeps my finger from getting too sore from excessive clicking (tendinitis). The mouse is comfortable & precise.

Cons: has been about 10 weeks, no rebate yet, but it is processing.

Other Thoughts: if soft click is important to you -- then this mouse is great, I find it way more comfortable then the DeathAddler it replaced. getting a 2nd one for home. The mouse is on the smaller side, but feels comfortable in my hand.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello Vadim,

I'm glad this mouse is working great for you. I see you are concerned about your rebate and wanted to give you a helpful link to help follow up. Below, I've provide a link to Status-Now which can be used to view your status and contact them, if necessary.

4 out of 5 eggsNice claw mouse

Pros: Let me first say that I like this mouse a lot. The size is perfect for medium-size hand claw-grips, with a nice softtouch style surface on the buttons. Once you find the right firmware update for your style (mainly having to do with lift), it can be dialed in nicely.

Cons: - Side, thumb buttons are quite cheap feeling, and don't depress well
- see other notes

Other Thoughts: The first one I bought ended up being a big letdown; after about 3 weeks the left click started sticking in the down position, making it impossible to do anything with and super frustrating in games, as it happened more and more frequently. So I RMA'd it, and got a new one a couple weeks later that hasn't given me any issues, but beware of that.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent mouse

Pros: - Extra buttons
- Fairly high DPI, high enough
- Build quality seems good
- Cheap at the moment

Cons: - The grip seems very specific, not that that really matters

Other Thoughts: If you have the type of grip that this needs, it is good, though not holding it with a claw grip is awkward.

1 out of 5 eggsGood mouse, terrible support.

Pros: This is a great mouse.

Cons: 1. The software freezes when you have Chrome browser on at the same time. I cannot believe software programmers think this is OK.
2. The mouse tracks even when off the ground by maybe quarter of an inch. New firmware apparently fixed the problem, but some people including myself noticed that the mouse then stops every 3 seconds, which made it completely unusable. So I just backtracked the firmware, and now it's ok, but it still has the original problem of tracking when off the ground.
3. My mouse in particular had its wheel scroll break after a month. I tried to RMA, and at first they asked me to pay return shipping. (What?!) I contacted CS, and they ended up giving me a free shipping label. The return took a week to ship and more than a week to process.

All in all, great mouse, but the company's product support is garbage.
I won't be buying any Cooler Master product since I know now that support for their product is garbage, even if the product itself is good.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello Woocheol,

I apologize that you have had so many issues concerning this mouse and replacement. I can assure that we do take care of our customers as you've mentioned we've provided you a return shipping label. According to warranty and many technology companies, we require that the customer is responsible for the shipping costs when sending items in for a replacement. There are certain situations where exceptions are made. One can always contact us and we can help from there.

For the issues that you are receiving with Chrome, this is an issue with Chrome. This is not common for many users, but a few have experienced problems and we are still looking into the matter. Currently, when saving anything to mouse's onboard memory and using the software, Do not have Chrome open. We are not positive if it is an issue with the browser itself, a plug-in, a certain version etc. Many of these situations and instances are not made aware to us till these products arrive on the market. We are still working on a solution for our software/firmware.

If you have any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to call us at 888.624.5099 or contact us using Livechat through our Fanzone.

Respectfully,

4 out of 5 eggsFeels So Right

Pros: This mouse was made for my hand. I'm a MAC guy and have tried every mouse configuration. I was looking for simple, programable buttons. I can now edit video, do word processing, input spreadsheets reclined with minimal keyboard strokes.

Cons: NO support for MAC. This is crazy. Thank Goodness for USB overdrive.
$20 rebate took 2 months of persistance on my part to get CM Storm to get me what was promised.
USB cord is heavy gage. Very robust and durable, but restrains movement if any obstacles are on the desk.

Other Thoughts: I love this mouse. After the $20 rebate, very happy.

2 out of 5 eggsButton wearing out after 8 months

Pros: Solid but not overly heavy
Good feel
Plenty of buttons
Good grip
Good sensitivity
Good build quality

Cons: Side thumb buttons a bit too sensitive (too easily clicked)
Scroll wheel click button also too sensitive - easily misclicked while scrolling.
Left (main) mouse button switch wearing out after 8 months of use.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

I'm sorry to hear that the left mouse button has started to wear out, yet we can certainly help rectify this situation. You will need to RMA the product. I have provided the link below to our FanZone and an RMA instructional link. I would recommend having your serial number and a photo of your purchase receipt. Register your product and then you can apply for an RMA under MY PRODUCTS. We will approve your request. Once you receive your RMA number, write it clearly on the shipping box to help expedite the process.

If you have any further comments or questions, please let me know by using the Livechat/Ticket features in Fanzone or call us at 888.624.5099.

Repsectfully,

Robert N.

4 out of 5 eggsGood but not great

Pros: Sturdy buttons, very good scroll wheel that notches the way you want it to, solid construction overall, rubber grip on both sides, comfortable to use for wide hands, 3 dpi settings and high max dpi, several extra buttons on the mouse

Cons: Not a great mouse for small hands, sensor is below the center of the mouse

Other Thoughts: I liked everything about this mouse except the dealbreaker for me is definitely that the sensor is below the center of the mouse and pretty much all mouses I have ever used before have had their sensor in the middle. So when I do use this mouse, everything is always off for me. Shifting your fingers backwards would mean that the main buttons will be slightly out of comfortable reach.
