4 out of 5 eggsSolid mouse!

Pros: Solid build, responsive, looks great and for 30 bucks it's a good deal. Its got great specs for a gamer and can make pointer-sensitivity adjustments on the fly by clicking buttons next to the wheel. Onboard memory allows custom mapping of your buttons and the mouse will remember the settings even after you switch PC's.

Cons: The finger rest on the right side for your ring finger took a little getting used to. I don't even notice it now, but when I first got the mouse my finger felt tired from holding that position. But like I said, I don't notice it now and the finger rests nicely in its little spot. It may even aid in moving the mouse while keeping my pointer&middle fingers ready on the left&right clicks.

Other Thoughts: I'm tough on mice because I also run my TV through my computer and take my mouse (wired- so I can find it) over to my couch or bed, at night, and use it like a remote. Past mice fail where the wire attaches to the mouse front. So far this mouse is holding up well at 1 year old.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Mouse!

Pros: This mouse is great to hold, feels natural to put my hand on it. It's also very aesthetically pleasing. I got this for Christmas and it still works since then, so it's pretty solid! Great mouse with high precision for the price!

Cons: A bit light, but not really that much of a problem!

Other Thoughts: I was so used to old low DPI, so it took me sometime to get used to the 4000 DPI... But now I can't stand how slow the cheaper mices are so I bring my mouse to school to use it there xD

4 out of 5 eggsGreat nimble little mouse

Pros: Small, comfortable, pinky rest, unintrusive utility

Cons: dpi adjustments are fixed values

Other Thoughts: I bought this mouse for my wife, for her it is somewhere in between a claw and palm style, for a bigger hand it is definitely a claw-only model, since it is pretty small. The pinky rest is a nice plus. The only issue I have (and it's not much of one) is that the 3 dpi settings are fixed, so microadjustments have to be done at the software level. Some may like that simplicity though!

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect Mouse for FPS

Pros: This was a toss up between this mouse and a Logitech G500. I was coming off of a Logitech MX518, (only because the mouse feet have completely worn off.) Being an FPS gamer myself, with playing Quake 3 still to this day, i can say i LOVE THIS THING! It is perfect for FPS games and i dont mind it for Guild Wars 2 and other games as well. Just yesterday my friend got a G500 so I can finally compare the two.. The G500 sits a little to high for me and this mouse i can flick and have more control over then a G500. The mouse buttons have a good feel and the exterior of the mouse is holding up quite well after a year of use.

Cons: The only thing i can think of is to somehow have weights that can be added and taken off like a G500, but i am not certain how that could be done without tampering the height or size of this mouse.

Other Thoughts: This mouse is a little on the light side but not to bad.

5 out of 5 eggsWOW, really improved my gaming

Pros: This is quite a fast review but receiving this mouse today and using it for a few hours of BF3 and Crysis 3 open beta and I was thoroughly impressed. I had a post on a popular message board which detailed how my first several matches were almost instantly affected by this mouse. I felt more accuracy and ease in aiming. I had great k/d ratios in almost every match played. I expected this to be good but I really didn't think it would work this kind of magic. Has a good set of sliders in the SW suite that you can DL from the Coolermaster site. Nice and comfortable in my mid sized hands. I expected this thing to be bigger but it's rather cozy. I don't have to set it to the max 3500dpi yet as my comfort zone is with the 1800dpi settings.

On a slight side note, make sure you turn off mouse acceleration as it will cause your moving habits to change if you inadvertently leave it on.

Not enough positives. Good length cord. Gold plated connector and the tech inside works wonders. It's been said this mouse is one of the more outstanding for the features it offers but at a modest price. So far, I agree wholeheartedly.

If you want to improve your aiming and shooter skills as well as have better smooth scrolling while browsing, this is the mouse.

Cons: I honestly can't think of a bad thing to say right now. This is a great enthusiast mouse but not for the huge prices. Little to no input delay but if you're running this at higher dpi/mhz settings in the toolkit, make sure you have a decent modest CPU. It does eat a little bit of cycles but on my 2500k, nothing is affected. I'm talking about more of a dual core 2-3 year old CPU.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect

Pros: Finally, a mouse that matches my grip. I'm a bit between fingertip/claw, and this is the first mouse that has felt truly right in my hand.

Cons: None so far.

5 out of 5 eggsFirst gaming mouse

Pros: - The look
- The feel
- The control
- The software
- Claw grip

Cons: - None

Other Thoughts: This was a fantastic investment and I could not be more pleased with this mouse. If it dies tomorrow, I will very likely replace it with the same model.

If you are like me and you have always used cheap mice but are considering spending a little more, I would recommend this purchase.

2 out of 5 eggsstay clear, not good for gaming

Pros: 7 programmable buttons, looks cool

Cons: no adjustments for mouse speed, it's either too fast or too slow for game playing. no middle speed.
mouse is very small for "NORMAL" sized hands. two top buttons are easy to accidentally hit while using the wheel
side buttons are placed too close to the middle of the mouse, making it hard to use either of them.

Other Thoughts: I'm kind of upset that I wasted almost $60 on this mouse about 6 months ago. next time I'll just stick with a three button mouse. sure I'll lose the extra buttons but at least a 3 button mouse will work.

Manufacturer Response:

Hi Redneck,

We are sorry to hear you are having trouble with our mouse. The mouse indeed has speed settings of 800, 1800, and 3500. If you have any other questions, please let us know via the Live Chat link below.

3 out of 5 eggsGood Mouse - Small Hands Only

Pros: Nice Looks
Well made
Inexpensive

Cons: Uncomfortable for larger hands
Software is not very good
Only 3 DPI intervals

Other Thoughts: When searching for my first real "gaming" mouse I bought this after reading that it's considered one of the best "claw" grip mice.

It's a fairly well made mouse for the price, from the braided cable just to the rubber grip, there's a lot here for the price point.

The actual idea is fairly decent, this mouse gives you a rest place for your ring finger and it does make that finger comfortable.

The problem with me was that I was used to using my ring finger as the main pusher on the right side of the mouse, my pinky was usually just is a gripper and so it made my pinky really tired after using it for more than a few hours.

I'd think if it was a bit longer on the bottom and I could use some of the palm to move it around it would be more comfortable but I have above average hands and this was made with small to average in mind.

Beyond just being uncomfortable for me the software wasn't up to snuff of say Logitech. On the Logitech I can set it so buttons are disabled in Chrome or another application. This comes in handy when I want to use a back/forward button as my push to talk button without going back/forward in chrome when doing it. This isn't a feature and most of the rest of it's pretty basic, including only 3 intervals to change DPI settings, which really hurts the mouse.

Overall, it's a decent budget choice, if it fits your hand you'll love it, but the software is still a big issue.

3 out of 5 eggsDecent Mouse

Pros: Feels great, good sensitivity, great button placement

Cons: It has a connection issue, something in the wire, I have to tape it to point up for it to stay connected. I guess I have a faulty one, but it is annoying.
Also, I had trouble programming keys, I wanted the side buttons to be Alt and Ctrl. But the program wouldn't let me designate it that way.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

We are sorry to hear of your trouble with the Spawn mouse. Try other usb ports to see if the problem reoccur. Please have the mouse replaced under warranty if the problem persist. In terms, of side buttons, the software is not able to bind those keys, as we currently working on this. I would recommend a third party program to resolve this. If you have any other questions, please contact us on live chat.
