5 out of 5 eggsGood

Pros: lots of settings, high DPI, big enough to fit my palm, fairly ergonomic

Cons: Before firmware update: the middle mouse button sometimes doesn't work perfectly, tracking would be intermittent if any dust was present.

otherwise:
The finish wears off within a month in places, it is fairly heavy even when all the weights are removed.

Other Thoughts: Do a firmware update if you have an older one like I do, it almost completely fixed the problems listed in cons. I switched to this mouse from an older logitech gaming mouse (MX518). It took my hand several months to get used to the shape of this mouse, so be warned when switching from logitechs shape to this. It isn't a downside because I feel I have better control over this mouse because of the shape.

2 out of 5 eggsLongevity lacking

Pros: Awesome when its new...

Cons: I have now purchased two of these mice. The things seem to break down rapidly after about 6 months of use. The little lcd screen stops working altogether. The paint bubbles up and wears off which is worries me a bit, is the paint noncaustic? Also the left mouse button breaks, when clicking you get random dbl clicks or it will unclick while the button is pressed and held. Also you have to reinstall the software if you change usb ports which is annoying as well.

Other Thoughts: If you do get one of these make sure you have a backup mouse in about 6 months or so!

Manufacturer Response:

Hi Mr. Lukkystrike,

We sincerely apologize for the trouble you had with our mouse. Would you be able to contact us so we can get more details on the situation and provide a solution so we can rectify the situation?

Respectfully,

Marvin R.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid mouse

Pros: Smooth tracking, on the fly adjustments, the adjustable weights is nice, but I keep them all in as I like it to be heavier.

Cons: I had to RMA it after 6 months of heavy use, my right click button broke. Cooler Master had a quick turn around though under warranty since I had registered it and it was no hassle, just had to pay to ship it to them which was definitely worth it.

The little circle designs on the mouse tend to pile up dead skin cells....

1 out of 5 eggsDO NOT BUY THIS MOUSE

Pros: You can change the colors of the display on this mouse.

Cons: Everything else a mouse is supposed to do for you this one falls short. From simple movements to it overheating even with the center LED light turned off. I was looking forward to this mouse before it arrived. Yet after only a single month my left button stopped working and I had to return it under warranty. Almost seven weeks later I received my replacement and it was more awful than before. It would overheat to the point of hurting my hand after long periods of use even with the lights off. Mouse functions along the X and Y axis were constantly changed making for infuriating use of this device. I recommend to anyone purchasing a new mouse to just pay the extra 20$'s for one that has been tested and proven. This was a loss of money and less fun than watching those dollars burn.

Manufacturer Response:

Greetings,

I am very sorry to hear about the issues with both of the Sentinels. Please contact us via live chat so that we can get this situation taken care of for you.

Sincerely,

Eric

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: IT LOOKS EVEN BETTER IN PERSON THAN ON ANY WEBSITE.

Cons: YOU HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE DRIVER DOWNLOAD AND THEN YOU HAVE TO SET UP YOUR PROFILE(S) [UP TO 4] BEFORE YOU CAN USE IT FOR THE FIRST TIME. SO A LITTLE ANTICIPATION FOR YEARS OF HIGH QUALITY PERFORMANCE.

3 out of 5 eggsCM Storm Sentinel Advance II - 8200 DPI Laser Gaming Mouse with 128 KB Memory

Pros: The mouse looks very nice the programmable profiles makes for nice transitions between different activities. setting up different profiles for gaming, internet, playing media, etc.. is very easy to do, and switching from profile to profile is as easy as pressing a button on the mouse. The removable weights are very easy to access, it could use more however.

Cons: After a few months the mouse profiles would not start up upon loading windows, in order to fix this i had to completely uninstall the software. This was very discouraging, i have had occasional problems with this since then. I feel that this is reason enough to be docked 2 stars.

1 out of 5 eggsDont buy it is a piece of fail

Pros: Cheap
High Dpi
Good Software
High Customizable

Cons: Breaks quickly,

My brother and his friends bought 3 together. Within 10 months all 3 have had a left or right click button break.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear customer,

We are sorry to hear the situation regarding the mice failure. Would it be possible to contact us so we can get each mouse replaced under the 2 year warranty? This is not normal lifespan of the mouse in question. We can definitely help in making this right.

Respectfully,

5 out of 5 eggsVery Solid Gaming Mouse

Pros: Ok I got this mouse for x-mas 2012, so I've had it for quite awhile now and it still works great. I love it! Yeah the finish has started to wear off a little. But with wear from using and over time this is to be expected. I'll probably end up buying another when the price gets lower.

Cons: It should be noted that this mouse is for right handed people only. Also it's for palm and not claw grip users.

3 out of 5 eggsMediocre

Pros: Comfortable, several preset options

Cons: Right click stuck down/broken after 1year of light gaming. Frequently jumps around the screen (my other mice do not do this with my mouse pad). Hits invisible walls regularly (i.e. the mouse will not move past a certain point on the screen or it is unable to move in a particular direction for a few seconds).

Other Thoughts: Not worth the money....I upgraded to a more reliable Logitech mouse hoping that I won't need to buy a gaming mouse every year...

1 out of 5 eggsBad quality, bad support

Pros: Mice feels very great in hand, LED are pretty cool as well, but the cons of this mice makes it not worth it.

Cons: I heard about the bad quality of the mice and not lasting long. I still tried my luck and got myself one. The first day I got it, the left click and right click don't really come back up . It makes it very difficult to do fast clicks. I thought it was just the mice designed this way, but in the end I concluded that this was defective. I've never done RMA before, I tried applying and it was a lot of work on their website. Waste of time, waited awhile to find out I have to ship my mouse and pay for shipping so I canceled . Why I have to pay 15 dollars for shipping and wait for 2-3 more weeks for my new mice? Not worth it. Very disappointed, going back to logitech.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear valued customer,
I'm very sorry for the troubles. Please contact us directly via Live Chat or tickets so that we can assist you with your matter.

Regards,
CMUSA Support
