1 out of 5 eggsDisgraceful

Pros: Good Sound, high quality, and very comfortable for their weight.

Cons: Broke after 7 weeks of regular use. Sound cuts out with the slightest head movement. That's normally due to a week solder joint. (Fixed headsets for the military for 10 years). I can't be sure without voiding the "company warranty" Would expect this from a $20 or less set but not for over a hundred.

Other Thoughts: The real nightmare didn't come until you contact the company for a replacement. Let's start with you're going to be the one to pay to have it shipped back. Then you're gonna wait 3-6 weeks for them to mail you a new one and that's only if they have it in stock. If they don't you'll wait longer. They have had a warehouse problem for around 4 months now, my guess is that is not going to change anytime soon. The best you can really hope for is store credit with Cooler Master because they don't do refunds. So approximately 135 dollars later (109 + tax for the head set and 20 dollars for shipping it back to them) and 5 months time they will have my product longer then I have. And will make no effort what so ever to help you if you call and get 1 of their 2 costumer service representatives. Sonuz wasn't anything but helpful in this. BBB has been notified but just a heads up they are not BBB accredited. Would not recommend to anyone and that includes any of their products.

Manufacturer Response:

We apologize for the issues that you have received concerning the acquiring of a replacement headset. To begin, yes, we require all of customers to be responsible for shipping the defective items to our facility under warranty. This is stated within our warranty policy on our website and reiterated when completing the RMA form. We do not provide any sort of refund as these claims need to be handled with the original vendor. As far as the long wait period and turn around for the replacement, this was a question that you have asked from one of our staff and explained the situation which was occuring in our warehouse, more specifically your model of headset as well. We have had major difficulties in these past few months and we have been working dilegently to overcome these challenges for our customers.

We have included a link below to our warranty policy. Should you have any additional questions, you may contact us directly at 888.624.5099 ext 2 or visit our fanzone to the use the ticket/livechat links.

3 out of 5 eggsGood while they lasted...

Pros: Good build quality, mic sounded good, and the audio quality is good (needed to make some levels adjustments though)

Cons: Speakers quit working after 3 weeks, 2 days of using. Had that like "half plugged in" sound with no way to fix it.

2 out of 5 eggsFail

Pros: Worked for a while! Can still use the mic

Cons: The headset where the sound comes out stopped working properly within a couple months. It came in and out for a while if you jig the cable a bit. But for a while now I have just been using it for the mic, as its better than my webcam.

Wanted to return, but its been over 30 days.

Other Thoughts: $85 dollars the drain (after tax, shipping)

Manufacturer Response:

Hi Captain_Jonno,

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. Please contact us so we can replace the headset under warranty coverage via the Live chat link below.

3 out of 5 eggsNot bad, but confusing at first. Also Broken

Pros: Its a decent pair of phones outta the box, but it has separate jacks for mike and phones so i have to unplug my speakers to use them :/ The headphone male bit has certain angles where it wont work. Ill keep the headphones if the mike works, but the outlook is grim, lol

Cons: See Pros

Manufacturer Response:

Dear customer,

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. Please contact us so we can replace the headset under warranty coverage via the Live Chat link below.

3 out of 5 eggsNot the best.

Pros: -Comfortable
-Gunmetal grey, goes with mostly anything
-Clear sound

Cons: -Sound is average at best
-Bass is very, very weak. Explosions in-game are there but nothing good for this price.
-Detachable mic has a small plastic piece that keeps it in the slot, but breaks very easily, leaving you with a mic that just droops without tape holding it in place

The sound of this headset is okay, but nothing exceptional or great. I've 30 dollar headphones from iFrogz that sound atleast 10 times better than these. Cooler Master should stick to peripherals and hardware, leave the audio market alone. They also lack noise cancelling.

Other Thoughts: For the price, they're decent. But you're better off spending 10 more dollars for a pair of iFrogz Caliber Stealth or Rosewill's USB 5.1 Vibration headset. Would recommend for basic gaming needs, but you can get a cheaper headset of the same audio quality for a lot less if you just need a mic and sound. Not for music or anything of the sort.

2 out of 5 eggsNot the best.

Pros: -Comfortable
-Decent price
-Braided cord
-Detachable mic

Cons: -Sound Quality
-No noise cancellation

This headset is fairly priced, however do not let the driver size fool you. There is little to no bass present in this headset. Clear highs and good mids, but no lows. It feels as if the drivers aren't getting enough power. I'd recommend another product over this.

Other Thoughts: My iFrogz CS40's were 30 dollars and sound five times better than this oversized headset. It serves its purpose in gaming with its microphone, but its sound is lacking incredibly. Not for music whatsoever. I recommend the iFrogz Caliber Stealth for 10 dollars more.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear customer,

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. The headset is able to simulate 5.1 and provides 5.1 options within audio cards that support that. Consequently if you are playing 5.1 media and the headset is set to stereo, the headset will not perform to its fullest potential. Vice Versa, if you are playing stereo media, and the headset is set to 5.1, the headset will not work properly. Please verify that your audio card settings are set to the correct settings according to the media that you are playing. If it is set correctly, and you are still having trouble, please contact us so we can replace the headset as it is not working properly.
