1 out of 5 eggsCoolermaster is not "cool"

Pros: Looks cool

Cons: It was small, and when you bend it to put it on your head it feels like it will snap, the microphone is really short, and right next to the top of you cheek. Audio is poor, and microphone did not work at all honesty....

Other Thoughts: Coolermaster makes the best tower cases, but they make bad headset/microphones, its like asking McDonalds to make a pizza. They're not meant to make them, but every once in a while the pizza will be good. Go with gaming logitech headset, or turtle beach headsets. And I bought a new logitech headset on newegg here cause I stepped on my turtlebeaches, BUT ANYWAY
I ended up sending the dang headset back, newegg has great customer service though thank goodness...

Once You Know, You Newegg!

Manufacturer Response:

I'm sorry for the troubles you had with the Ceres 400 headset. I'm sorry that the size of the headset didn't work out for you. Personally, I have the same issue with this headset (and many, many other full headsets of many brands), but I mainly blame my head being full of my own hot air for it. Regardless, the other functions should be working just fine, especially things like the general audio output and a working microphone.

I would recommend taking a look at our Ceres 300 for the sizing issue, as I've found that one to personally be the most comfortable for my sizeable skull. As for technical concerns, if your microphone or audio isn't working, that's entirely abnormal and we recommend getting that replaced, either through a Newegg exchange or with us through the eRMA link down below.

If you have any other questions, need any recommendations, or have any concerns, feel free to come talk to me (and/or the rest of the support team) using the Contact Us link below to catch us in tickets and live chat. I'd love to help you out! :)

3 out of 5 eggsGood while it lasted

Pros: Reasonable sound quality for the price, the mic worked surprisingly well for what I was expecting. Nice long cable for ease of use.

Cons: The 'arm' holding the left ear cup on broke of within a few months, obviously making it unusable.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear valued customer,
I'm very sorry for the troubles. You can request an RMA at the link provided and/or you can contact us via tickets or Live Chat so we can assist you.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Headset if you get a working one

Pros: Okay so basically the mic is very clear and clean assuming you get one that works properly and the sound from the headphones is very nice and the ear piece is comfortable.

Cons: The plastic breaks too easily, the mic is very sensitive and has a lot of static unless you're lucky and get a properly functioning one, and the speakers die very quickly.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for the price

Pros: -Sound quality
-Cable cord length
-Soft ear couplings

Cons: -Mic is on the left side (not really a con, just my preference)

Other Thoughts: For the price this is pretty awesome. If you are looking for a good gaming headset, this will serve you well. The bass actually surprised me, smooth bass when listening music. Overall great for the price

5 out of 5 eggsThey do exactly what i want

Pros: they are comfy, they block out sufficient noise, the mic works well and sounds natural.

Cons: they are a little quiet but not enough to take an egg off, they still get plenty loud. the mic and headset plugs are a little hard to tell apart.

Other Thoughts: I bought these for a headset to play games with as well as listen to music with. they arent very expensive but they still provide plenty of features as well as being comfortable for a low price. The bass response is very good and the highs dont sound tinny. I would highly recommend this headset for someone needing a good headset for not alot of money.

4 out of 5 eggsIn its price range...

Pros: Provides sufficient sound at its price range, none of the problems the first reviewer stated for me. Microphone is flexible, cord is long and in-line volume and switch work well, no scratch when adjusted. Sound is okay for the price range, you could get these for a kid, or wife, as they won't make you deaf. Cloth is best, Safety first!

Cons: Hard to tell what plug is MIC and what one is Speakers, so plugging it in may be hard to see if in a dark room. Headphones are grabby, they fit sung almost too sung under your ears, feels as if it's pinching my neck. Plastic headsets are noisy, they make noise as you move around, again, get what you pay for. Bulky, a lot of plastic and window dressing, not really needed. Warm after a while.

Other Thoughts: Always go cloth ear cups, ALWAYS. Fake leather ones are hot and peel off over time and leave little black pieces on your face and clothes.

2 out of 5 eggsSmall Flaw, but good value...

Pros: - Fabric Ear Cups are comfortable.
- Inline volume / mute work and don't sound scratchy when adjusting.

Cons: Internally, the speakers come unglued from the ear cups, causing the speakers to sound muted / muffled / lacking bass. This can be easily corrected, but might cause someone to trash an OK headset. I don't like to deal with RMA, so i fixed them myself. This has happened to both sets we purchased. Both have been repaired and seem to work ok once some good adhesive has been applied.

Other Thoughts: The problem can be corrected very easily. Pull the fabric ear cup off, it just slips over the can, remove the four phillips head screws, and seperate. Inside, you'll see that the speaker is floating around loose inside. Simply apply a few drops of super glue to the edge of the speaker, and slide back into it's hole on the can.
