Other Thoughts: Installing the camera with the drivers and software included on the CD makes the camera operate much better than with the Windows XP default drivers. The included software enables automatic adjusting of the exposure, as well as several other image adjustments. I highly recommend using them.

Pros: Great price. Good construction, framerate, picture quality. Manual focus ring works fine. Drivers installed automatically on Windows XP.
Cons: Does not adjust to bright lighting all that well. Wearing bright colors against a bright background can make you look washed-out. No auto-focus.
Other Thoughts: I have not used any of the included software, so I can't comment on it - I've only used this camera with the built-in Windows viewer under 'My Computer' and on the Stickam website. I agree that this is the best camera for the money.

Cons: I initially installed this webcam on my laptop running Windows 6 x64. Using the default Windows 7 webcam driver yielded poor video and even worse audio performance. Once I installed the manufacture driver and software the change in performance was night and day and I highly recommend it.
Other Thoughts: The Hercules software does not recognize Windows 7, and give an error that it requires Windows XP SP2 to run. After exiting the installation Windows gives the message that the program might not have installed correctly. Click install using recommended settings and it should install correctly.

Great Value-Priced Cam

Pros: *Affordable *Nice Resolution *Glass Lens
Cons: *High res is interpolated, but still its not bad!
Other Thoughts: Use this to video chat with family and friends on the Eastern seaboard, and it works well. The mic is pretty good too and doesn't echo too badly.
Its still a web cam. The high res is ineterpolated from a 640X480 resolution. For a webcam in this price range, there was nothing that could compete with this unit at Christmas in 2008. Since then, another friend has bought the same camera and also reports great results with it.
This camera is a great value.
