1 out of 5 eggsVery Bad Experience

Pros: - Looks good.
- Smooth scroll wheels.
- Lots of custom programming options.

Cons: - Cheap Plastic construction. Hardware easily strips out (metal screwing into plastic threads)
- Battery Life is horrible. Worst I have ever seen. Battery is difficult to easily change.
- Poor wireless. Often goes into sleep mode and never comes back without actually removing the usb cable and plugging back in. It may be poor usb drivers. Sleep mode cannot be disabled.
- Optional pinky rest is incredibly uncomfortable as it bites into my palm-pinky knuckle
- Weight system is a cheap sales gimmick. Adding or removing weights adds absolutely nothing to the feel/movement of the mouse. If I had taken the time to think about it, I would have realized that the weight of the mouse is absorbed by the surface that it sits on and physics dictate that it would take immense amounts of weight change to make any noticeable difference. I even tested this out on a 3 year old. They couldn't tell the difference between maximum and minimum weights.

Other Thoughts: This is the worst AND most expensive mouse I have ever owned. I will definitely not be buying any more computer products from this manufacturer. They should stick to consoles...

3 out of 5 eggsGreat first impression

Pros: Body
Drivers
Laser

There is no mouse that makes a first impression like this one. The amazing quality of the mouse frame and body is literally unparalleled. Till you've held one of these no review can tell you what it feels like. The matte material is of the best quality I've ever encountered for a computer touch surface. after years of use wear is not visible(AVID GAMER and former DESIGNER).

The driver and featureset is AMAZING!!! Weather rigging this for photoshop or for battle field you won't be dissapointed.

The laser is the best I've ever used. I've used the highest DPI razor mice out there but this has none of the glitchiness and locking issues that those had. Its amazing for graphics work

Cons: Wireless
Battery Design
lifespan

The wireless on this device is the worst I've ever encountered. A 10 dollar mouse has better wireless. I must keep the receiver no joke, within 6 inches of the mouse. Maybe my monitors or speakers throw some wacky interference out there but I've not encountered these issues with other wireless devices I've used.

The battery after breaking in is good for 3-6 hrs of use(I'd expect tripple that). Changing the battery is not fluid, it is actually difficult to grasp at.

The mouse buttons wear down fast, I'm at about 2 years of use and have to retire this mouse the left button won't rise anymore. For such a premium device this is really sad.

Other Thoughts: To this day one of the best build products in some ways and the worst built in others. This mouse would be one for all times and all users if some of the SIMPLE issues had been addressed, we know that wireless is easy to do right, we also know that battery life and interchangibility could be allot better. The least forgiving thing though is the mouse trigger. It simply needs to last 6-12 years. This is the first mouse I've ever retired for a button wearing out.

2 out of 5 eggsmouse clickers vibrate poorly

Pros: the cons outweigh and pros

Cons: I have found both the right and left clickers vibrate terribly during use opun release. this is the kind of thing a $10 MOUSE DOES. EXTREMELY ANNOYING

Other Thoughts: madcats should be forced to refund us all for poor craftsmanship

4 out of 5 eggsgreat mouse but glitchy

Pros: the good is this mouse is accurate, adjustable to your hand and fun to use daily

Cons: the bad is the mouse is poorly built and the right clicker vibrates every single time you release it. definitely not worth $150

Other Thoughts: I would recommend mad catz go back to the drawing board and fix the squeaks and vibration from the clickers to remove the "cheesy" feel when u play with it.

4 out of 5 eggsFantastic Upgrade

Pros: Tons of customization abilities, lots of buttons, feels sturdy, comfortable and easy to get to know.

Cons: have to unplug USB cable after replacing battery, software is not ideal

Other Thoughts: Great upgrade from my 8 year old Logitech G7 mouse. I Find the battery life is pretty good but I don't play all day long like some other purchasers do.

5 out of 5 eggsThe R.A.T. 9

Pros: This mouse has an infinite amount of configurations to fit your hand along with a very impressive software. There is nothing wrong with the mouse that I have seen so far except for one thing

Cons: The thumb scroller is tucked in and just a little bit uncomfortable to get to.

Other Thoughts: The software has one issue that I have noticed, if it gets cut off at the bottom, you have to change the size of your icons in the display options. It won't work unless it's on small.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for some.

Pros: Love this mouse. Problems that arise come from not plugging it into a high power usb connection. Many programmable buttons and multiple gaming profiles available for free download on madcatz site. Very logical and havent went a day without using it.

Cons: Requires a high power usb. Otherwise buttons wont work and problems with manual clicking on pages and auto pressing the back button. Please plug into a high power usb

Other Thoughts: Love it like a pet

2 out of 5 eggsNot worth the cost...

Pros: Can customize to fit your hand, alot of config options
High DPI
Comes with two batteries, mine last most of the day gaming. Quick to change, takes seconds.

Cons: Movement may be jumpy, had to plug into USB 2.0 to correct.
Stopped tracking intermittently after 3 months. Unacceptable for 160.00 dollars.

Other Thoughts: Have to send it back for warranty and really wanted to buy another in the interim, can't bring myself to do it, going another brand. All Mad Catz mice are getting terrible reviews for dependability and customer service.

2 out of 5 eggsShould be "Makes you MAD Catz"

Pros: Great looking, fun to look at like a novelty.
Neat scroll speed button.

Cons: BATTERY! They give you two, you will use them both every few hours. NO JOKE, the battery life is less than a day, even without constant use. its a royal PITA.

Also, at times you have to unplug the USB and reinsert the USB to get the mouse to work, especially if it goes to sleep, or the battery dies (which is always).

Lack of a decent Battery meter, but it will flash some leds which usually represent scroll speed, a few minutes before going dead.

You have to unclip the palm rest to swap batteries, its awkward to hold while your replacing the battery, causing random clicks to go everywhere, which if you are trying to be change before it goes dead, can cause woe.

Other Thoughts: I previously used a Logitech, I now know what "Jaded" means. This mouse was expensive and with that cost I would expect a few things, not having to unplug it to get it to work ever. Battery life of 1 week would be HUGE for this thing, I don't remember exactly how long my fancy Logitech went on batteries, because it never EVER was an issue. There software is interesting, you put a lot of effort into a "profile" which never seems to be loaded right or work absent of your efforts to make sure its the active profile. Fix the software and the battery consumption and I'd be content, it still have fewer features then a good logitech, but it does have good button feels.

1 out of 5 eggsHorrible dont buy!

Pros: Nothing at all this is horrible.

Cons: This piece of bull spit mouse litterally has a 3 hour battery life. You will be constantly switching out the extra battery it came with and you will end up getting very frustrated if you are even a moderate gamer. This product is probably the worst wireless mouse I ever had, it is not smooth for being 6,400 DPI. My old microsoft mouse of 2,400 DPI is much smoother, I accidentally right click a ton with this mouse somehow and never had any issues with any other mouse in mylife. Returning this right now because its complete garbage, get a wired version.
