4 out of 5 eggsGood sound quality weak noise cancellation

Pros: The headphone has good build quality and reasonable good sound quality. The noise cancellation works on low frequency noise, but it cannot block people's talk.

Cons: Noise cancellation feature is weak.

1 out of 5 eggsNot impressed

Pros: Relatively comfortable, work to some extent.

Cons: Active noise canceling adds a hissing noise, not static really, but a very noticeable and ruinous noise for someone who wants to hear nothing but music.

Other Thoughts: Got it on what was apparently clearance sale, and I'm glad I didn't pay a dollar more. I hardly ever use them thanks to the aforementioned noise.

4 out of 5 eggsWarranty Info...

Pros: Nice balanced sound.
Noise cancelling works well for mid/low freqs.
Good as normal buds (w/o NC turned on).
Monitor button to cut sound and NC (to hear somebody).

Cons: 90 Day Warranty per Pioneer Customer Support.

Other Thoughts: Everybody is different in terms of fit and preference- for me though, I really like the sound and fit of these (with or W/O the noise cancelling turned on). I prefer a moderately heavy bass with good mids and highs that are not overpowering to the point of being shrill and "hissy" (w/o equalization). These fill the bill quite nicely. I must admit, now that I have heard these, I would be tempted to pay full price, but the 90 day warranty would make me nervous. It was unclear from the documents if the warranty was 90 days or 1 year, so I called Pioneer Cust Svc. The only Pioneer phones with 1 year warranty are the Digital DJ's. 90 days is a short term for such expensive phones, but at $20 on special, these were a steal. Cust Svc Rep was prompt, courteous, and in the USA. Yay!! ;-)

5 out of 5 eggsGreat alternative to the bulky over ear headphone

Pros: Smaller, light, great quality

Cons: does not cancel as much as the over ears headphone but that is expected, the wires are not detachable so if damage you can't replace it

Other Thoughts: I bought this because some time my Audiotechnica noise canceling headphone get in the way and some times hot. These are small and light but do not cancel noise as much as the over ear headphone but I already expected that.

5 out of 5 eggsGood quality

Pros: Very clear sound compared to cheaper brands. Isolates most sounds even without noise cancelling. Long cable. Noise cancelling works in constant loud environments.

Cons: The battery compartment is placed in a none optimal location. It will hang unless you clip it to your clothing.

Other Thoughts: Do not use noise cancelling in quiet environments since you hear the white noise.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Impressed

Pros: Noise cancellation was much better than I had anticipated. Extremely comfortable. Got them for $35 with an eggsaver deal, much better sound quality for that price lin addition to having anc included also.

Cons: Minor point, I would have preferred if the battery compartment/control was located at the end of the cable, more towards the source so you might be able to put it in your pocket along with your audio device. Definitely not worth deducting an egg over though.

Other Thoughts: Amazing sound quakity for the price, add to that anc and you have one hell of a deal. Sound compares favorably wwith my S4's and my Sennheiser iem's.

3 out of 5 eggsWorked good for one week

Pros: Good low frequency noise cancelling.

Cons: A loud crackle has developed after one week of use.

Other Thoughts: They start to hurt my ears after 30 minutes of use because the plastic housing is to large for my ears.

4 out of 5 eggs2nd Pair Very Good

Pros: Good job with noise cancellation. Sound good. Come with different ear bud fittings and fit my ears well. Comfortable.
Got a good deal on them.

Cons: 1st pair had to be exchanged because of faulty wiring. Triple AAA batteries are not cheap.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: These work great, bought for use on planes and in server room at work. In both situations they do their job just as expected.

Cons: Not the greatest sound quality, then again they are small in ear canal buds and were quite cheap for active noise cancelling so I can't complain.
