Pros: Lossless audio has exceptional mids, highs, and bass just right unless you want your speakers bleeding. Anyone who enjoys Dance/Techno/EDM will have the ultimate experience, why? Bass is flawless while the highs and mids work in harmony. Rock or classic rock? Yep, euphoria (Pink Floyd's riffs and highs are just that EPIC!) Design wise If you have "piano" fingers you found your niche Pioneer, others will find it somewhat too ingenious. Apple certified and I personally approve the design configuration of the Music/Suri/HF Controls and the adjustment made for hight (approx 5-6 inches from ear) perfect for people on the go. Material used seems to be solid and weight of the the bigger "in-ear" headphones are noticeable but the retail version comes with 3 earbuds silicon adapters, so most ear sizes are fitted well but no suction or noise-canceling features of BOSE. If you enjoy more bass BEATS is the option for Hip-Hop/RAP but only old-school applies, modern H-H/RAP tracks utilize the same principle used in EDM and most artists collaborate in Hybrid Theory mode (LP anyone?) Bose is better in solitude mode but if you want/need to be somewhat cognitive yet experience full pleasure in tracks you know and love Pioneer will hit the sweet spot, once plugged in correctly with the correct silicon bud piece the headphones stay comfy for 2 hours idle 40-60min active in walking mode if you by some assumption think you can workout with these headphones you are mistaken they are at best in position for 1 of the 3 sets of crunches. Marathon or running is not an option with these headphones.

Other Thoughts: Has merit for the price tag but I would pass if I had to pay retail, purchased at Beats pricing so for me a no-brainer. If you or your job requires FLACC these are a necessity but BOSE will give it deserved competition. Pioneer, thank you for the quality I expect from BOSE and a sleek/color combo I enjoy that pairs well with my clothing gear, yes sleek in retrospect of bulky headphones about twice the size of OEM apple headphones (BEATS anyone?) Conclusion it's FLACC or Nothing!

Pros: Bass is excellent, Highs and Mids are clear; Detachable cables; Good build quality; Cable includes microphone and phone controls.

Cons: Due to the size of the earpieces, and the heft of the cable; using these at the gym is not ideal.

Other Thoughts: Overview

The bass is that these headphones produce is absolutely phenomenal. Best of all, the highs and mids do not suffer from the emphasis on bass. These headphones are a big step above the typical bass-heavy ones because their clarity at all sound levels.

Sound

You will immediately notice the powerful bass and its clarity. This is the result of Pioneer's "Bass Exciter" chamber which is why these headphones' earpieces are so large. The Bass Exciter chambers simulate a subwoofer in your ears, and therefore bass is much more profound. But what distinguishes this product over other "bass headphones" is that the highs and mids are clear - never muddy. So while Electronica, Dance, Trance, R&B, Soul, and Rap sound fantastic; even Acoustic music still sounds good because the highs and mids are still very well rendered. You'll definitely hear a wide range of sound. In fact, the frequency response rating on these headphones is 6 - 25 hz. Most headphones don't even come close to such a wide range.

Other features

The cable includes controls for pausing, skipping, volume, and microphone for taking calls. The cable itself is made of sturdy plastic and is shaped flat to resist tangles. The connectors use a standardized MMCX connector which theoretically means it could be replaced (though I haven't actually seen a Pioneer branded replacement cable on sale). Pioneer also includes a soft-shell carrying case, 3 sizes of silicone eartips, and an airline audio adaptor for travelers.
