2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: mic was decent,...but nothing else

Cons: almost everything. overall they had pretty bad speakers weren't the greatest .

Other Thoughts: btw if you dont mine modding them a bit i actually made a half-way decent over-ear style headset with these u just ditch the main assembly and put in some aluminum wire and cover it in foam tape its ok...while it lasts

4 out of 5 eggsNot bad for the price

Pros: The timbre of the sound is very good. I was surprised at how good they sounded for the price I paid. The nice this is if you have fairly big ears, the pads are fair sized so your ears don't get squished to your head and cause headaches. The pads are comfy and the mic captures a good quality voice even if it isn't in front of your face. The controls are straight forward and simplistic so even technically illiterate people can use it. The headset is light and made of pretty sturdy plastic. This can be problematic in the long run, we'll find out.

Cons: The blinking light is ANNOYING. It's incredibly bright and serves no purpose but to blink (I suppose to tell you it's plugged in, but it doesn't change with increase/decrease of volume, mute, or button press). That being said, these earphones are LOUD. I have my volume set on my computer at 2 lines from the bottom and it's just about right. The buttons control only the system volume. It doesn't control application volume (for example, if you're in iTunes, it doesn't change the volume of iTunes but the Windows volume). The volume can be changed quickly by holding one of the volume buttons for over 1 sec (nice but who needs it when you've got a mute button?). Aside from the clunky quick control box, it's a nice setup for the price. I recommend it for any gamer strapped for cash or a person new to the headset scene.

1 out of 5 eggsDo not get these

Pros: NONE!!!!! =(

Cons: I purchased 2 of these a month a part. First one the right head speaker does not work just died. Then the mute button does not work as intended. When on skype I hit mute and it cancels the sound so I do not hear the other person. PROBLEM they can hear you. I tested with skype with different friends and family and same issue. I cant hear them but they can hear you.

The second headset both speakers work fine. But the MUTE is the same issue. I prefer the Cyber Acoutic USB headset those things do mute both side of the conversation with the button and skype button. Get those better DO NOT GET THESE.

Other Thoughts: Im may try Microsoft USB headset but I am so going back to my cyber acoustic USB headset those work.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat headset for the money

Pros: Excellent voice capture, good bass in headset, comfortable earpieces, bendable microphone.

I use headsets for an online game and online university lectures. This headset is comfortable. I purchased this headset because the microphone rod is bendable; it turns out though that the rod is kind of short so the microphone can't be placed directly in front of my mouth. This did not interfere with the quality of voice capture though; so, no worries!

Playing music sounds very good, expect when playing anything with really heavy bass, like rap or hip hop. But, for this price, I get better sound quality than I expected.

The sound/mute control module is useful, but larger than I think is necessary. The sound control button and mute button are decent-sized, which makes it easier to find the button you're looking for without looking at the module. Even though the module is large, it doesn't weigh much so it doesn't hang heavily on the wire (luckily!).

Cons: Microphone rod could be longer. The sound/mute control module could be smaller. The blue light on the sound/mute control module is too bright at night, too.

Other Thoughts: I've had this headset for less than 1 week; so, I can't vouch for the headset's longevity at all. So far, I see no reason why it won't last as long as all the others did -- about 1 year.
