1 out of 5 eggsSquirrely Mouse!

Pros: cute. nice sporty red color

Cons: mouse goes into sleep mode about every two minutes- range is ridiculously small - almost impossible to accurately point the thing at what you're trying to select on the computer screen.

Other Thoughts: adjusting the default settings helped a bit with control issues, but even after replacing the batteries just a few weeks after getting it, the mouse is constantly drifting off to 'sleep' in the middle of using it.

5 out of 5 eggsWorth every penny!

Pros: I have owned 3 of these, and it's the best feeling most durable wireless mouse I've ever owned. The reason I have owned three of them is I am very hard on them, and beat them to death. It's the only brand I've known that survived a trip through the Maytag(tm), and returned for duty without incident.

First, compared to other mice, it works well. I don't have problems with it losing the signal, or having to shake it or do other things to it to get it to move my cursor. Other brands have a significant problem with this. It automatically powers down when you abandon it, saving batteries. IT is NOT a battery pig, and under extreme usage plain and ordinary batteries from the $0.99 store will last a couple of months.

What I like the best is the way it feels, and the way the buttons feel. They are crisp, and exact, and the shape of it fits your hand. There is no better pointing device than the Kensington Track Ball, but that thing costs $175, and this thing works almost as well for $10.

The only thing I could fault them on is the adhesives used to attach the rubberized parts to the outside of the mouse. Early in life these sticky strips detach, and each one I have owned required I go out into the garage and get some 3M(tm) brand weather strip adhesive, which is guaranteed to stick any two plastics together forever, and put them back on. You can use this product without a problem if all of the rubber on it fell off - it does not affect operation.

The battery compartment has a little plastic shield thing in there that shows the orientation of the batteries, and is required to pull them out. This is flimsy, and gives out fairly young. It's easy enough to continue with out it, but this isn't the best battery compartment I've ever used.

I don't know who Gear Head is, or where they came from, but they won me over on this product quite by accident. I bought this in a close out store with great skepticism. I don't like batteries, therefore I avoid wireless everything if there is a wired solution available. This little critter worked hard to show me it's "The Little Engine that Could." Outside of battery replacements, there's all of nothing to complain about considering what the device costs. Ironically, other models from Gear Head have all proven not acceptable for my needs, and ended up in the trash. MP2275 is the only model I am really satisfied with.

Overall, this little critter is a stellar performer, and out performs countless other models costing 10x more. Even though I have proven it's durable enough to clean it in the Maytag, I wouldn't recommend the procedure to others. At least I discovered it got in there before I gave it the old natural gas dryer therapy.

Cons: Rubber strips on sides tend to come loose

5 out of 5 eggsGreat little mouse

Pros: battery life is very good and its pretty comfortable in my hand. The DPI switch is handy in certain games. I like the red color and the type of paint used... the grips on the sides are a nice touch as well. The mouse is surprisingly tough. There is also very little input lag, at least i haven't noticed any. The price was good too. I plan on buying another soon, as i was a bit too rough with the scroll wheel a while back and it now as a bit of a skip to it.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I don't get the problem with the batteries. Its not that hard... there are only soo many ways they can go in there. and even if it were a hard thing to do... you only have to do it, worst case, once every 6 months? I use this on my main desktop and for my laptop. If you were to look at my steam acc and look at the hours played, most of those were with this mouse. I've only had to change the batteries once, and that's because i used a cheap brand. anyway... to address the battery issue. *the clear SHEET stays in the mouse... DO NOT REMOVE IT. It shows how to install the batteries and is also used to remove the batteries. Look at the diagram on the sheet to see how the batteries are installed, tuck sheet back in, then install first battery, then second battery. that's it... your done... in 6 months or so, pull the tab that is sticking out and the batteries will come out fairly easily.

For those that have lost the little sheet... the first battery is installed with the [+] end of the battery facing the "back" of the mouse. the second battery gets installed with the [-] end facing the back of the battery.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I bought two of these (one for work, one for home) and have been completely satisfied with how they work and feel. I have smaller hands and normal-sized mice are uncomfortable...this one fits well and is unobtrusive. The battery management is superb...I use my work mouse 8-10 hours per day, 5 days a week, and batteries make it about six months. I will probably buy a couple more just to have them around for backups. Note: I did not buy these at Newegg, I found them at the local Menard's store.

Cons: Battery compartment is tight but not unmanageable. There is a small clear plastic battery alignment guide inside the compartment.

1 out of 5 eggsstopped working - battery sheet fell out

Pros: worked for a short time

Cons: Battery compartment is very small and no diagram of how batteries go in.

Other Thoughts: Just stopped working. Tried to replace the batteries but as you pry them out with a screw driver they go flying and you have no idea as to how they go back in. No manual or other data available on the manufacturer website. Avoid this.

5 out of 5 eggsWhat did you do with the battery sheet?

Pros: Works from at least 15 feet but I haven't tried it from farther. I couldn't see my screen from there anyways!
Battery compartment has clear plastic sheet with battery placement diagram on it which the batteries are loaded in to.

Cons: Sending unit went out today and it seems I have to buy an entire new mouse to replace it. Bummer.

Other Thoughts: Good product. Will buy another.

1 out of 5 eggsTerrible desig

Pros: Battery compartment in this mouse is so tight it is extremely difficult to get the batteries in, and now that I need to change them I can not get them out! There is no lifter that alot of battery compartments have in them, no kind of eject mechanism.

Cons: Disgusted with this product
