V-Moda Crossfade LP2 Limited Edition Over -Ear Noise Isolating Metal Headphones (Matte Black)

Pros: They are very loud when powered properly, they are fairly balanced (again when powered properly) and I find them to be very comfortable even though I have a fairly large head.
Bass heavy but not overpowering the mids and highs.
AWESOME noise isolation, I cant hear anything around me when I have them on.
When I use them with my logitech speakers and turn it up to half to 3/4 volume (both on the PC and speakers themselves) depending on the song I can actually feel my earlobes wiggling with the bass, they are VERY powerful headphones when driven properly

Cons: You need to use them with an amplifier or an amplified speaker set if you want to get the most out of them, with my work laptop (Dell E6410) they are the most balanced sounding headphones ever, but they dont get very loud,
into my computer which has a motherboard sound card they sound terrible, BUT plugging them into my logitech speakers (X-140) achieves audio bliss

Other Thoughts: I would highly recommend these cans for anyone looking for a great reliable pair, who have a powered source to plug them into, without them you will have yourself a pair of mediocre headphones

Pros: I was really surprised by the noise isolation of these headphones. It's really quite excellent, I would say just a tiny bit less than Bose QC 3's (which use active noise cancelling, so it's not really a fair comparison)
The sound quality is good and very bass heavy, which I like. The headphones are metal, solid, and heavy, which makes them feel really high-quality and well made. I have not noticed any noise leakage problems which some people complained about. I bought these over the shadow variant because they are over-ear, and much more comfortable I think. Trying to break these would be a serious challenge

Also comes with a very nice hard case and even packaging is high end

Cons: I don't see any cons with these, they are $200 yet all review sites compare them to $400+ headphones. I saw only one comparison between a similar priced headphone set, and these blew them away.

Other Thoughts: I bought these on the V-moda site because I have heard their customer support is phenomenal , and they give you free priority (2-day) shipping.

Pros: Great sound quality, fits my head well, even though I have a large head. The leather on the earpiece is VERY soft.

Cons: Only con I have is that after 3-4 hours of wearing, it starts to hurt my ears. Not because its loud or anything, but because it squeezes my ears to my head.

Other Thoughts: None other than that. You can replace the sides of three headphones with other colors at the v-moda website.

Pros: Excellent build quality. I was very impressed as I opened the box. the case they are stored in is top notch with two style's of cords. One cord you can use with Apple products to answer incoming calls (If using with Iphone). The sound quality is very good, not great, but very good. The mids can be washed out some but overall a well balanced set of lids. The bass is sharp and clear and not overwhelming. They were used for the first time in a busy coffee shop and the noise canceling worked well. I could not notice any outside noise leaking in. The fit is extremely comfortable. I'm pleased overall with quality, as you get what you pay for unlike other plastic headphones on the market that are priced higher and don't exemplify longevity. I would recommend these to anyone.

Cons: Sound quality is a 7 out of 10. Needs better balancing throughout. But still "very good" for an audiophile looking for an every day set of headphones.

Other Thoughts: The remote mic does not work with android devices.

Pros: Great sound, build quaility is awesome.

Cons: Noise isolating or lack of!!! You will half to have the volume on med/high to cancel out any outside noise. I can hear the gpu fans that are running at 100% playing bf3.

Other Thoughts: My Bose qc 15 are better at Noise isolating.

Pros: Can run almost all games maxed, can even run bf3 almost all settings maxed except for a few

Cons: Not the fastest out there, new games high quality games like bf3 get around 35fps

These headphones overall do a couple of things well and a couple of things really well. The sound on the headphones is good and solid with the bass not being overwhelming to that is all you hear, and the treble is good enough, but not tinny at all levels. The bass is present but not the only thing in the cups you hear. If you get a dac/amp (something like a fiio device) these headphones might pump out the desired bass for some; I myself might have prefer a touch more bass (I listen to rap, pop, golden oldies, pop rock, and occasionally very occasionally jazz). The headphones do press against your head, but do not cause any exceptional or very noticeable wear and fatigue (just to get a size comparison I'm 6' ft 183 size 7 1/4 hat size ever slightly larger ears). The weight is average on your head and after some wear you cannot....cntd

Cons: really notice the headphones being present too much. The sound will not blow you back, but the design is amazing and the case is by far the best I have seen for storage coming with a 1/8" to 1/4" jack, and two cables; the cables include one long cable and one shorter with a 3 button feature that doesn't really work, even though the website said it should (I have yet to contact v-moda to find out why). The cables come with a threaded type cover and are both a good length. The size of the cups are good, not being too bulky to wear outside or like you are phoning home. The adjustments on the side are good with the top of the headphones coming with enough cushions. These headphones are definites for durability- just look at the video....you will definitely be impressed- , but bass heads might need an fiio, and audiophiles will be pleased that the design accompanies great sound. Overall the things it does really well is the design, comfort, and having a good blend of sound, and the things..

Other Thoughts: it does well is the having a good mix of sound(lows,mids, and highs), and decent bass. The only gripe is the headphones do not have a lock and use a regular type headphone jack for connection. The added accessory of the case for the headphones is amazing, possibly one of the best included cases ever.



PS FYI these headphones block out a significant portion of outside noise but you can hear them if you are sitting near by and the headphones are above about 70% max volume, but its not extreme, just some buzzing; it does sound good though to those listeneres.

Pros: The headphones deliver nice highs and lows the nice treble and bass are easily noted. The bridge that sits on the top of your head bends over "1 million ways" and is very nice to adjust to your head/ears. Very sturdy and can survive 70+ 6 feet drops. I love them!

Cons: The sound canceling can be better.

Other Thoughts: As said in the title I got my pair (not limited edition mine only has a color difference) from V-Modas site for about 230 dollars so Newegg's is a bit cheaper (a dollar or so).
