2 out of 5 eggsGreat sound, poor quality

Pros: Audio quality is very good. Bass, mid, and high frequencies are faithfully reproduced.

Cons: Horrible quality. I have gone through 3 pairs in 21 months. Every time they fail they same way: one driver becomes distorted and barely audible. And that's with gentle use and always played on the lowest volume settings. Poor quality like this is completely unacceptable and unfortunately has tarnished V-Moda's reputation (my opinion). I doubt I will purchase V-Moda phones or buds ever again regardless of price.

2 out of 5 eggsgood and bad

Pros: Sound is good and fit/comfort also are good. Cord seems to last which is way better than most.

Cons: Constantly get plugged with ear wax due to screen that has no way of cleaning and is very close to ear. This renders product useless eventually (4 months). No sound can get through the screen. Have tried numerous wiping methods but am afraid to use anything wet. Any wiping only pushes wax into opening behind screen which is not removable.

5 out of 5 eggsAMAZING

Pros: Okay, I have written another review in here about these being durable. Well, I have another announcement to make. They sound fantastic as heck. I recently purchased some expensive ones as an "upgrade" I spent nearly 100 dollars on them and these totally whoop them in every way! I do not like the cord, but other than that, who cares!? I couldn't imagine headphones sounding much better than this. Listening to them the day I bought then vs now is like day and night. You NEED to break them in or they sound bad.

Cons: Cord tangles :-( REALLY BAD. But sound quality is better than anything else these ears have heard after break-in period. Also the break-in period must be REALLY long. Everyday, they sound better.

Other Thoughts: BUY THESE. Even at this price range (40 dollars) these stand up to the Monster's, Klipshes, and JVC's like they are in the same price range!

5 out of 5 eggsSound Great

Pros: Sound great, clear, good bass, fit great. Comes with your size of earbuds, 3.5 mm connection adapters, funky ear clips and travel pouch. With another set of earphones 2 can listen or you can double the length.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: Couldn't be happier for $14.00. LOL at all the cons like these things are top quality headphones. These are inexpensive "EARBUDS."

1 out of 5 eggsDisappointing

Pros: Basically a pleasing sound for the price. Nice design appearance.

Cons: Poor build quality. The first set arrived and was defective right out of the box. The buds produced an uncomfortable crackling sound when making movements such as turning my head. This sound is something I've experienced with cheap earbuds (such as those given out by airlines) just before they fail and fall apart.

Other Thoughts: I contacted V-Moda about this. They admitted this was a defective set and did send a replacement set quickly. But the replacemnet set developed the exact same problem within two weeks of light use.

If I had the chance to do this all over again, I would not buy this product.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for the price

Pros: Amazing Construction - I have: 1)accidentally put these through the washing machine and drier 2)sweated all over them 5 days a week since I got them 5 months ago 3)accidentally smashed them under my accelerator pedal 4)kinked them every way imaginable and jerked on all of the connectors repeatedly by accident. 5)cooked/froze them in my car since november AND after all this, they play like the first day I got them. They were only 14 bucks when I got them, but I've put them up against sony and altec lansing's lower lines costing 2x as much. These are definitely the best earbuds under 20 dollars. I have been buying and returning headphones from best buy. I have tried nearly all of them below 50 bucks and none are as good as these. Sure, they are not fantastic, but they are decent and can withstand a tremendous beating. They do need a bit of a break-in before being less aggressive on your ears. (24-hours at 125% listening volume) IMPORTANT

Cons: They are not amazing, but they were 14 bucks and are far superior to Apple's entire line of products (earbuds, computers, phones, tablets, etc). THEY NEED BREAKING IN BEFORE THEY STOP HURTING YOUR EARS! I hate this but even the most expensive ones do. The treble sharpens up, the bass tightens, etc. The cord also tangles up worse than fishing line. Again, 14 bucks. For the price, I can deal with it. There is some cord noise too and the phones themselves aren't the most attractive. It's obvious vmoda went straight for build quality and sound capability before styling and frills.

Other Thoughts: For 40 bucks, there are better earbuds. No doubt. But for 14, there are not and I am confident of this. I cannot state enough how insanely durable these are. Put any other earbuds through the wash and see how well they work afterwards. These are completely immune to water damage and kinking and do not distort. They do get a little flat-sounding when you turn them way above comfortable volume though and can still hurt your ears, but for most cell phones, they don't go loud enough for this anyway. They also stay in your ears very well and are comfortable as heck if your ears are shaped like mine. BOTTOM LINE: These are amazing cheap headphones and make a rock-solid reliable backup for when your others die.

5 out of 5 eggsJust what I needed

Pros: Work perfectly, comes with awesome goodies!

Cons: Can "crackle" a bit if you rotate the plug in the device, but stops as soon as you stop moving 'em (probably not supposed to anyway, so probably not an actual con).

Other Thoughts: None

4 out of 5 eggsGood set of earbuds

Pros: Decent overall sound; four sets of ear adapters for perfect fit; pouch and y-adapter are nice extras.

Cons: Has less bass response than I'd like; overall sound becomes slightly "muddy" at higher volumes; packaging could be consumer and environmentally friendly.

Other Thoughts: While I'm not a "pounding bass addict", I do like well defined bass response, and these fall just a little short.

I bought these on a promotional deal for $13.99, and they are a great value at that price. If I had to pay full price, though, I'd go for the Sennheiser CX475.

The "extra small" ear adapters are great for very small ear canals, such as my daughter's.

5 out of 5 eggsWow

Pros: Amazing bass for earbuds
Very clear and loud (when you want it to be)
Comes with carrying bag, and headphone splitter

Cons: nada

Other Thoughts: These are definitely the best earbuds I have ever owned. I'm no high end listener, so these are amazing in my opinion, especially for the price I got them (19.99). It's like I've never heard music before, but these make it sound amazing.
