Delicious Sound!
- Pros: The moment I put on this pair of earphones, I knew this is exactly what I've been looking for. It delivers rich, yet not overpowering bass with the right amount of midtone and treble. I hear more details in the music than ever. The sound quality is so good I can't help going through all my music collections again. This pair of earphones is very addictive but fortunately it is also very comfortable to wear for a long time.
- Cons: None.
- Other Thoughts: If you are looking for sound isolating earphones you may want to try Sony EX51 or Shure E2-c. I own both of them and they work great when mowing or running in the gym. But they also make me miss phone calls in the office and my coworkers have to shake my chair to get my attention. This Bose earphones does not block out the outside sound so some may find it dissatisfying in noisy environments.
$40 headphones + $50 b/c they are bose
- Pros: Powerful bass, clear lows, fairly comfortable, decent overall sound quality when equalizer settings properly compensate for the earphones intrinsic weaknesses
- Cons: Such as lacking clarity in the highs and mids. I have to boost the treble with these, and it doesn't sound as good as it should for this price. No noise isolation to speak of.
- Other Thoughts: Sound quality is a subjective subject. I'm no audiophile, but I found these to be a tad worse than my previous headphones, which cost me $40. But that's what I've come to expect from bose, decent products w/ a price-tag at least 2x it's proper place. If your into heavy lows (modern hip-hop and rap) more than highs and don't need isolation, these may be the ticket, but you could find some sony's to do the same for half the price. If you need clarity at the higher end of the frequency spectrum these will disappoint on a whole other level than price/performance.

Cord Breaks Easily
- Pros: Good in-ear headphone sound.
- Cons: The noise-cancellation is hard to pick-up. Most importantly though is the platic casing of the cable broke after 1 year of moderate use, exposing the cables which broke, rendering the headphones useless.
- Other Thoughts: Overall decent headphones, but would not recommend until Bose fixes the cables coating.
Happy Camper
- Pros: At first it took a while to get use to the ear plugs but the sound was so great compared to my Sony ear buds.
- Cons: Cannot go wrong with these ear headphones. I would recommend them to anyone that has a iphone as they work great in mine.
Comfortable with great bass
- Pros: Deep rich bass makes certain songs & genres really thump (rap, hip-hop, dancehall, etc.). I also listen to a lot of metal, and bands with down-tuned instruments (i.e. Korn) sound especially heavy.
- Cons: I had to purchase replacement earbuds twice, as the plastic cuts into it after time. But $6 didn't break the bank. Also, the metal screens on the inside gets very dirty and must be cleaned very carefully. I found that a pin or thumb tack can scrape off any debris while being gentle enough not to knock the screen out of its fitting.
- Other Thoughts: After two years of heavy use (every day at work + quite a few work outs) they finally broke. The chord near the .35mm connector cracked and unless it's "just right" the left ear cuts out (wire broken I assume). I was upset that my $100 (I got mine from QVC) headphones broke after 2 years, but when I consider how much I used them, it's worth the $0.15/day I enjoyed them.
