OverviewCustomer ReviewSpecificationsProduct Tour
Just listen once to the Bose Mobile on-ear headphones and you'll never go back to your old set again. These headphones weigh less than five ounces (without cables) so you'll soon forget you have them on. Memory foam padding in the earcups contours to the shape of your ears and reduces pressure and provides an excellent custom fit. The earcups also rotate in two directions to minimize pressure points.

Once they're on you'll be treated to an audio experience like none other. Bose's unique TriPort design produces excellent bass without disturbing the rich mids and soaring highs of your favorite music. Try them with your favorite music and hear it like you never have before.

My first set of real headphones

white Reviewed By: AMDphreak on 4/5/2009
Rating + 4
Tech Level Tech Level: high - Ownership: more than 1 year
Pros: OK. They sound really good. I have no music higher than CD quality, and these have served me well.

I've had them stepped on by my little sister, who totally twisted the carp* out of the rotatable ear-parts, and the headphones still worked like new right afterward, with no long-term effects on its performance.

I've vomited on them, and the leather material was very tolerant of cleaning supplies and wiping with a damp cloth.

I wear them around my neck when I'm not listening to music, because they are that comfortable--even off your head. It's my signature to wear them even without the audio cords anywhere near me.

I don't know why other people are knocking the bass response on these; I think the bass is at an acceptable level. It is audible and balanced and allows for other sounds to be heard.
Cons: These are too expensive for what they have.
There are comparable models available from Sennheiser and Grado that are much less expensive than Bose's (this model of Bose headphones in particular).

I've had these for a year or so now, and the ear-pads are starting to lose some padding integrity--meaning the headphones are not as comfortable for long listening sessions. I have to take them off and have a break every now and then--when I purchased them, I did not have this problem with them.

*can you believe Newegg wouldn't let me use the word "c*r*a*p?" That's ridiculous...it's not an inappropriate word in ANYONE's opinion. I know a really strict Christian girl over the age of 18 who won't watch any movie over PG rating (USA), and she doesn't even consider the word inappropriate!
Other Thoughts: There are many far-better purchases that you can make from Sennheiser and Grado. I have liked these headphones, and I probably will keep them until I once again can hear a much larger range of frequencies and a higher-definition in sounds than I currently can. For now, they saturate my requirements very well, but if you're looking for a good pair of headphones, you should start with Sennheiser-brand headphones, starting in the $80-$120 range. These have repeatedly been proven to have better sound than all of the available Bose products, and as you can see, they are less expensive.

Bottom Line: This is a good product, but if you have some knowledge in audio, you will buy a different product, guaranteed.

AMAZING

Pros: AMAZING SOUND. This is my first high end set of headphones and Oh My G*d what a difference in quality. Used to think all headphones were the same, but this proves there is a difference. Fits comfortably and comes with a very useful case and different lengths of cable.
Cons: May just be a personal problem but the On ear design can sometimes cramp my ears after long periods of use (over an hour), but I just take a 5-10 minute break and then I can use them again.
Other Thoughts: I would say price was a con but this is BOSE and you get what you pay for.. this product has lasted me over 2 years and I still have not had a single problem.

Great Headphones

Tech Level Tech Level: average - Ownership: 1 week to 1 month
Pros: Very comfortable. Sound quality is wonderful. I use them with my Zune 120 for listening to classical music mostly. All freq. ranges are handled well. The base is exceptional for the kind of music I listen to. These are well worth the money.
Cons: I can't really think of a con right now.
Other Thoughts: I also have a pair of Shure SE210s for the road. They sound great but don't hold a candle to the Bose on-ear.
