Bose around-ear headphones give you "best-seat-in-the-house" performance no matter where you are. Whether it's rock or rap, symphonic or swing, you'll hear smooth sound, from full lows to clear highs. Soft, cushioned earcups gently surround your ears, yet remain comfortable for hours so you can easily focus on your music.

They come in two options: AE2; and AE2i with features designed for easy iPhone calling and an inline remote that controls your Apple product.

  • newegg Immersive Audio Performance Bose around-ear headphones are designed with Bose’s exclusive TriPort acoustic headphone structure which reproduces tonally balanced audio with deep low notes from lightweight, around-ear headphones. And, Bose acoustic equalization fine-tunes the frequency response of the headphones for exceptional audio performance.
  • newegg Inline Microphone & Three-Button Remote Inline microphone (AE2i headphones only) allows for hands-free iPhone calling and access to certain voice applications, such as VoiceOver and Voice Control. Inline three-button remote (AE2i headphones only) controls volume, track selection and voice applications on select Apple products, and switches between calls and music.
  • newegg Comfortable Listening The soft, cushioned earcups are angled to gently follow the contour of your ears, while the adjustable headband distributes weight evenly across the top of your head. Together, they help provide hours of comfortable listening. You just might forget you're even wearing headphones.
  • newegg User-friendly Design The audio cable attaches to a single earcup for greater freedom of movement and less tangling, and detaches for convenient storage. The earcups rotate to fold flat in the carry bag for easy travel.

1 out of 5 eggs2 bad pairs in a row

Pros: i do not know any pros of these headphones because the first pair i got the tunes came out like i was 2 miles away from the music, the second pair i got head sound in one ear and barely sound in the other

Cons: 2 defective sets in a row. really newegg?

Other Thoughts: i have been a customer of newegg for 10 years and i had my ups and downs, but this is by far the worse experience i had with them so far. this is really unacceptable.

2 out of 5 eggsComfort and great sound, BUT...

Pros: Most comfortable headphones available, bar none.
Great mids and highs.
Replaceable cable.

Cons: THESE HEADPHONES NEED A HARD CASE INCLUDED. The pitiful bag they give you is a slap on the face.
Cable quality is poor.
Connector is NOT gold plated.
Longevity is suspect due to plastic construction of the ear cup swivel mounts.
Base response is in need of a bit more.

Other Thoughts: Come on Bose! You include a hard case for the OE2's which are in the same price range and don't include them with the AE2's. That's shameful and you need to fix this.

If these headphones came with a hard case I would give them 4 or maybe even 5 eggs but if you want these to last you'll have to buy a QC15 hard case for an additional $25 from Bose.

5 out of 5 eggsStill one of the best headsets you can buy

Pros: Surprisingly low profile. I've worn mine on planes and had people talk to me without realizing I was wearing a headset. In that sense they fit a lot of fashions and are stylish in a way.

Sound, these pick up everything. Some of the best all around sound I've ever heard. I tried some other high end models before trying these, and these beat the pants off them soundwise. Everything sounds very crisp, and even when pushed you never lose clarity with this headset in any range.
Durable. Its VERY tough to design a low impact, but long lasting item that gets move around a lot, like a headset.

Very soft ear gel, proper tension & adjustment through the headband. Leads to a very comfortable wearing experience.

Cons: Price, but you can find sales (or just get an older model for cheap)

Non-braided dual ear cord, but it never seems to get tangled

Other Thoughts: These are one of the few items i'd even buy used. It changes your experience with your audio, and for that its worth every penny.

5 out of 5 eggsAE2 Model

Pros: Higher range of sound than the creative fatality headset they replaced. Very comfortable, especially when compared to the fatality headset. which is good because I wear my headphones 8 to 10 hours a day.

Paired with a sound blaster X-FI xtreme audio.

Cons: Cord is barely long enough to use with a desktop computer.

Other Thoughts: I bought the AE2 (non i-phone version) of these at a common name Electronics Store to replace a creative fatality headset where the ear buds had worn out after about 3 years.

BOSE sells an extension for about 20 bucks on their website., may need it if using these with a desktop.

Hard to say whether these justify over 150 bucks. Guess it depends on your personal preference.

How is F r y 's an inappropriate word?

4 out of 5 eggsBitter Sweet

Pros: Clear and crisp mids, highs are not ear piercing, and bass is very moderate. These headphones have a solid construction and are very lightweight. The padding at the ears is very comfortable and I can wear them for a long time without discomfort. They provide a well rounded sound especially for alternative, rock and jazz.

Cons: Max out these don't provide enough volume. My old Pioneer DJ Headphones would rattle your eardrum and could be used as an external speaker when they were at my neck. This may be why I think these are not sufficient. The Bose sound is very distinct and for a DJ these will not cut it.

Other Thoughts: Comparing these headphones to my old Pioneer DJ headphones these do not have the same type of sound. The bass that existed in my Pioneers is non existent in these. If you listen to a lot of electronic, dub step, heavy metal these headphones are not for you. Otherwise, these are some of the best I have seen.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Headset

Pros: Good audio quality, go this to replace old headphone/mic combo and couldn't be happier.

Cons: Cord is only about 4ft long, hard to use with a desktop and have any mobility.

4 out of 5 eggsNice set

Pros: -Not too tight
-Nice clarity
-The inline remote works great with my iPhone4 (has volume up, down, and mute)
-Cord is of sufficient length
-Headset comes with a Bose felt baggy with a drawstring to tote them around
-Cord is detachable from headset
-Fits my rather large head with room to spare

Cons: -Didn't really have the bass that I love from Bose. With my Pioneer headphones I can feel the bass, with these I can hear it but its not rattling my eardrums
-Construction of headphones seems to be fairly sturdy though I don't think they could take too much abuse
-Earcup cushions seem a little cheap (I can imagine them wearing out quick from experience with other similar headphones)

Other Thoughts: -These headphones aren't too tight, but I still feel I could go jogging with them on. Perfect for sitting around the house with a laptop and listening to music with them. (Just don't let the kids get a hold of them)
-The point at which each earcup swivels feels like a weak point, be careful not to put too much pressure on the headphones there.
-Would be nice to have a hard case for them instead of a bag to protect them (for instance, when you take them on a trip in your luggage)
