Not very effective at blocking outside sounds. Other Thoughts: Have used these daily for about a year for listening to a wide variety of pop/rock/classical music and podcasts. I appreciate the fact that they are quite efficient so even with the marginal output of my phone I still get good volume. After a couple of months one of the earpieces separated from the headband. I fixed it with hot glue and duct tape and it has been fine since. Overall an ok deal. Would probably buy again if they fell in the river. Did you find this review helpful? They pretty much wont break under heavy use, these are really durable headphones. Cons: Very uncomfortable. Sound quality isn't that great, but they are only 50 dollars. They are also fairly bulky, awkward and heavy. Other Thoughts: Replaced by a pair of Bose headphones after about 8 months. Cheap plastic material, very flimsy and breaks easily. No metal parts on this headset. This headset also hurts the ear very badly after about 1 hour of use. I have to take off every hour or so for a few minutes to give my ears a rest. Also will not work at all with glasses sitting on the ear without extreme pain due to pinching. Other Thoughts: They look nice, but it seems these are made for pre-teen heads. An average adult head will feel squished in these. Did you find this review helpful? They cord is a nice nylon material seems like it would last longer then standard rubber cords. Cons: No volume control (I dont need it so almost not a con).
