5 out of 5 eggsAll-around awesome

Pros: Works great, no connection issues, works on most surfaces. Nice design, feels comfortable in hand. Works flawlessly after staring up. Can be paired to multiple devices, and will connect immediately even after booting into another OS without needing to pair it. Works perfectly in Ubuntu and Windows without using the CD or installing anything extra, including the tilt-wheel functionality which I didn't expect to function out-of-the-box.

Cons: Sometimes the DPI setting seems to lower (battery saving?) and you have to press it again to restore it. I personally like a really fast mouse (I like the 1600 DPI setting) , so it bothers me.

Other Thoughts: Battery door is hard to open the first time. It's not really clear where the battery door is, and when you try to open it is seems like you might break it. Since this is a laser mouse that emits light not in the visible spectrum by humans, I cannot use my mouse like a flashlight to see my keyboard as I once could with my original mouse, however, the fact that it works on more surfaces easily makes up for that. The scroll wheel could be a little smoother and less click-y, but maybe it will as it wears.

1 out of 5 eggsmoves by itself

Pros: looks nice, fits in hand well

Cons: On OS X Lion, without my hand on it, or it otherwise moving, the mouse causes the pointer to move to one side, or more often one corner, of the display, and attempts to actually point to something don't work. I haven't had the chance to try other operating systems, but can't see any good reason why basic pointing shouldn't work.

4 out of 5 eggsVerbatim Bluetooth mouse

Pros: Out of the box, put in the batteries, turned it on, pushed the connect button and it synced up just fine to my Ubuntu 11.04 desktop using opensource bluetooth drivers and a IOGear bluetooth micro adapter.

I like the smaller profile of the unit, it fits nicely on small my desktop and works on any surface I have tried it on. (including the leg of my pants)

The little on/off switch on the bottom should be used to conserve battery life.

Newegg.com shipped quickly and the product arrived expeditiously, which in this case was import as I has tripped over the wires of my usb mouse the day I ordered the Verbatim mouse and rendered the usb mouse useless.

Cons: Begins to occasionally drop the connection as the batteries begin to run low, but reconnects after a few seconds.

Eats batteries, and has pushed me to buy a battery re-charger with rechargeable batteries, so I'll just change out the batteries on a frequent basis (I use it about 12 hours a day.)

5 out of 5 eggsVerbatim mouse

Pros: Easy to use, just the right size for a desktop even though it's a laptop mouse. 38 bucks sounds like alot but if you need to snipe from long distance. Well you see, it's not that bad.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: If you have trouble connecting back away from your USB Micro Adapter (Dongel) (try the cirago BTA6310 330 ft. Range)

1 out of 5 eggsGarbage

Pros: none. doesn't work. Apparently I have to give it at least one egg just for existing.

Cons: I've had it for about two months now, and for days at a time it wouldn't connect at all. It had randomly dropped it's connection over and over again from day one. Now it's in the garbage, and I have to use an old usb mouse.

Other Thoughts: I can't believe I paid almost 40 dollars for this piece if junk. I really couldn't afford to waste my money and I'm pretty ticked about it. I should have went with a good wireless usb. I won't buy verbatim components again.
BTW, I bought this from another site for a few dollars off, but it was still new so I doubt that has anything to do with it.

1 out of 5 eggsWin 7 not supported

Pros: Small, compact, good for notebook use.

Cons: This mouse is NOT supported by Windows 7 according to Verbatim tech support. I bought this mouse based on the 2 reviews that said it worked fine on their Win 7 system, despite the fact that the Newegg specs correctly list only up through Vista. Bad mistake, wasted money. It worked sporadically and briefly on my Win 7 system (a Sony Vaio X) but has quit working completely now. Anyone comtemplating buying this for a Win 7 system is taking their chances.

5 out of 5 eggsadjustable DPI is a big deal

Pros: Handy adjustable DPI button is right on top but not in the way. Everything including left/right scrolling with the tilt wheel worked with Windows 7's drivers right off the bat, even without using the included CD-ROM. Nice feel and overall function. Good in-between size, not huge and not tiny. Uses two standard AA batteries.

Cons: None! (What??) I am not experiencing the problem of having to lift it unusually high to lose tracking. Mine doesn't go to sleep too quickly or take a long time to wake up.

Other Thoughts: Don't underestimate the significance of the adjustable DPI button. In effect it conveniently changes the speed of the pointer. That means you can switch between the mouse and touch pad w/o going to the Control Panel to adjust the pointer speed for each.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome little mouse

Pros: Mouse works on any surface that matters. It is the perfect size, not too small and not too big. The Bluetooth connected right away on my Win7 powered Fujitsu U820 and connects on restart with no need to load special drivers. Can't ask for much more. Adjustable DPI is great as well.

Cons: It does require you to raise the mouse a good inch off the table to lose tracking, though some may consider that a plus. Black would have been nice: ).

Other Thoughts: For the price I can't imagine a better BT mouse for travelling or using with a netbook. It truly is comfy enough in my sm-md hands to use for a long time. I never would have considered a Verbatim mouse before (always use Logitech for my "Big" mice, but after reading the reviews I took the chance. Glad I did. I don't know what the battery life is yet as I have only had it a few days.

5 out of 5 eggsBest on all surfaces

Pros: This mouse tracks on all kinds of surfaces. Finally after spending close to $200 finding the right mouse I found it!!!

I went through 3 other mice until I found this one. The Logitech v470, 2 of them because the manufacturer told me I must have had a defective one, and the Microsoft 5000.

As soon as this mouse "connected" i could tell right away it was a winner. I had to turn the pointer speed down then started to see if it would track on things the others could not. Ding Ding Ding

Winner tracks on cloth skin .. I haven't tried glass yet.

The button click feels solid and the wheel is decent. It is no more or no less comfortable than the other bt laptop mice I was using. The on off button on the bottom is much more pronounced than the other 2. I like that.

This mouse does not require any pairing but you can if you want.

Cons: Although subjective this mouse does not look as good as some of the other bt mice Ive gone through. Not a big deal to me but it was the only con I could think of.

Other Thoughts: Why can't the MS and Logitech mice track like this one? They cost enough.

4 out of 5 eggsNot too bad...

Pros: No wireless USB adapter required if you have an internal BT module. Adjustable resolution on a dediacated button. Accurate pointing and it works on any surface, including my glass coffee table if it has a little "haze" on it.

Cons: Falls asleap even in my hand when I don't move it every 30 seconds or so. It takes a few seconds to reconect and start working again.

Other Thoughts: It is a good overall laptop mouse. I like how well it works on any surface and once you get used to it, it's much better than the track pad on a notebook. I don't use it for gaming because I'm used to a Logi**** USB mouse and habits are hard to break.
