I've tried cleaning it - using a mouse pad versus not - still no good. I'd return it but it's not worth my time and effort. Cons: Scroll wheel has become unreliable after 6 weeks of moderate use. When scrolling through a web page, the screen will jump in the opposite direction of the wheel scroll every page or so. Have verified this on 2 different laptops and 2 different desktops, using different browsers. Even happens in Word documents. Other Thoughts: This is an update to a previous review of mine. I guess the smaller they make these things, the more prone they are to failure. Perhaps I'll exercise my warranty option with Verbatim, but if shipping is more than half the original cost of the mouse, I'll just have fun and nuke it in an old microwave. Cons: Optical, not laser. Other Thoughts: Bought this for my wife who goes through 1 wired travel mouse every 2 months on her laptop. They have just plain failed. Turned out there were a few cool features with this trackpad so I use it about 50% of the time. Mouse fits my hand perfectly for a mini-mouse. I have smaller hands for a guy but its pretty good. Just takes a minute to get used to. Nice purple color. I use it on the couch and the light has no problem tracking across the fabric, solid color though. Slides well when I use it on my desk at work. Fits perfect in my lil netbook carrying case. Awesome spot inside the mouse for the wireless receiver. Cons: Dunno if it's my mouse (mfg defect) or this brand.. I am a huge user of middle click to open a link in a new tab. Not only is this one hard to push (pressure wise), but it's also hard to push and NOT scroll accidentally (missing your target). Other Thoughts: All in all a great little mouse. Great travel size. Spot for receiver inside mouse. Battery lasts forever. Definitely WELL worth the buy. 2 out of 2 people found this review helpful.
