i-FI Lens Coatings I-Fi lens coatings consist of four layers of coatings to filter transmitted light and protect the lens: an anti-reflective portion cuts glare and distracting extraneous light, hydrophobic component keeps water spots to a minimum, oleophobic coating provides resistance to smudging and fingerprints, and a final hard coat reduces environmental wear and minimizes scratching.

I work as a Technical Support Specialist and, normally, my eyes are just killing me after work, but with these, I can stare at my monitors all day and my eyes feel fine. Cons: I have a narrow face and they do look a little big; however, all my coworkers have complemented me on them and are now looking into getting some of their own. Other Thoughts: I would definitely recommend these to anybody who has to stare at a screen all day. Whether you are a gamer or just an internet-happy Redditor, these things are great. Reduced the glare from my screens which reduced any migraines and strain on the eyes by like 80%. 2. They look great in public such as LAN parties or office spaces. Cons: Not very comfortable when wearing a big headset such as the Roccat Kone or the Logitech G35 or 930. The side frames get compressed by the large headsets causing pain at the crevices of each ear. As a remedy wear a lighter headset or purchase rubberized cushions for glasses. Other Thoughts: 1. Definitely get a rigid case for these glasses as they are relatively fragile. 2. The glasses could certainly use a more flexible frame for gaming (keep in mind that these glasses were intended for casual office or home office computer use.) However, I did not take any points off since the GUNNAR's gaming lineup of glasses includes the flexible frames as a design feature. 3. Main reason I chose these glasses instead of the gaming lineup was simply because of the way they looked. 4. Computer seems to be clear and crisp. Comfortable and fits my head very nice. I never had to wear glasses before so I thought getting used to some would be hard but it isn't especially since I only use them when I'm on my computer or playing video games. Cons: Noticeable smudges from handling. Not good for wearing around the house or outside. Not exactly stylish frames but they were the best I could find. I think they price could have been a bit lower. Other Thoughts: I definitely don't regret buying these and I use them all the time. I work in an office all day staring at a screen under florescent lights and used to get headaches but the amount of glare reduction has made that a thing of the past. I also game a lot (pc and xbox) and this has made my gaming experience more enjoyable as my eyes no longer get tired allowing my performance to stay high while i game for hours on end Cons: Made its just my face (and the high break in my nose) but i find these sit slightly higher on my face than i like. i tend to keep my head up while typing reading etc... and find that many times i look under the lenses to do so (that took so real getting used to) and the viewing area in general is slightly smaller than my normal preference, but again i got used to it Other Thoughts: i have the onyx "anime" frame so i cant truly speak to how the lenses are shaped sized etc.. for this frame but it appears to be the closest match on newegg and thought everyone should know my experience with these amazing glasses 4 out of 4 people found this review helpful.
