2 out of 5 eggsCaveat emptor

Pros: I'm an audiophile -- I use a pair of in-ear B&W monitors and occasionally switch to a pair of Shure in-ears, so I consider myself picky. These monitors aren't terrible, but there's a lot of hype so I wanted to try them for myself. The bass overwhelms everything. Most of what I listen to is rock/ jazz (eg Foo Fighters, Steely Dan, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Brubeck, Cole Porter, Clapton, etc.) and I had to tinker with the iPod's EQ settings to get to a listenable one ("Late-Night"). Not too impressed. The sound quality itself is nice but the way the music is affected by the tonal profile is not wonderful. Keep in mind that Bose does something similar -- it affects or "colors" the sound so you know you're listening to Bose. These aren't bad -- but I spent about two hours, let them play (eg burn in) and came back awhile later and was still underwhelmed. Back to the B&W's -- for half the price the Beats aren't bad, but listening is believing -- or not believing, in this case.

Cons: None per se -- I think these seem to be as well-built as many other fancy-packaged in-ear monitors (eg Shure, Klipsch, etc.) and I would recommend planning to replace them every 24 or so months with daily, normal usage. If you plan on using these during athletic/gym activities 18 months at the top end -- just the real world (and not just these -- for any in-ear monitors).

Other Thoughts: I was blown away -- in a bad way -- by how badly affected my music was listening to these. I think the main thing is that if you listen to bass heavy stuff -- eg hip-hop -- you will like the tonal profile these monitors provide. For me, they got in the way of rather than enhanced the source material I was listening to. That's the opposite of what good hardware should do. However, if you're listening to lower-quality source stuff (eg Spotify/Pandora/128kb/160kb mp3) these might very well work for you. The only real way to know whether these are totally right or totally wrong is to test-drive them yourself. But use the above as a guide -- if you want monitors with a flat musical personality, keep looking or at the very least buy at your own risk.

1 out of 5 eggsGet something good instead.

Pros: Nothing at all.

Cons: Everything about them. Too overpriced for the horrible sound quality you get. Get something good, such as VSonic, or for over the ear, get something like Ultrasone or Audiotechnica.

1 out of 5 eggsDon't Waste Your Money!

Pros: Nice Looking, Good sound

Cons: Expensive, cheaply made

Other Thoughts: This was my son's second pair. The first pair broke within 3 months. He begged me for another pair. Within 2 weeks the clip was off and one of the ear buds popped off. He was so disappointed. I will stick to the skull candy! What a waste of my hard earned money.

1 out of 5 eggsGarbage

Pros: Great sound quality...

Cons: ...but only for a few weeks. I bought these under the impression they were a quality product only to have the left earphone cut out on me. I had bought insurance on them and they were replaced. Now a few weeks later the same thing happened to the new pair.
I always used care when returning them to their case and were never mishandled.

A terrible purchase which I regret completely.

1 out of 5 eggsRipoff

Pros: Look cool, nice color to them, and

Cons: The Apple headphones are better than these and you can get them for free if you buy an apple device at a price of $20 if you don't buy a device. OVERPRICED too because I think they should be $30-35 Max

4 out of 5 eggsPretty Good

Pros: Have crisp Bass
Looks Good
Comes with enough accessories

Cons: Right earphone is heavy (just use clip)

Other Thoughts: If you have to spare buy these, they are not as bad as people tend to say they are, but remember these headphones are meant for Hip-Hop and some electronic music like House and Dubstep. You are paying for the logo and the bass mostly.

1 out of 5 eggsDont get these

Pros: Look somewhat cool

Cons: I have used these enough to know that my skullcandys that have static in one ear piece and the other, you have to hold the mp3 player in an awkward position to work, and the sound quality in the skullcandys is still better, and i got them for 10 bucks. So if you are thinking of getting these, don't the skullycandys are at least 2 times better, the Skullcandy Lowriders are also better, and you can get the for around 20 dollars

Other Thoughts: I do not own them, but i have used my friends, and i must say that they deserve to be like 15 dollars at most. It is a terrible idea to buy one of these, go for Skullcandy or Bose
