3 out of 5 eggsGood but with issues

Pros: Good Sound quality, very good bass. Muddle a little on the highs and upper mids but still better than most lower end models.

Cons: Tight on you head, if you wear larger than a size 7 hat these will be tight to the point of pain after 30 min of wearing. If you are a smaller person with a smaller head then this might not be an issue.

Other Thoughts: Detachable cable with mic is nice.

Was able to stretch mine out some by putting over a box for 2-3 days.

If you can handle the tight fit and large amount of bass , its almost like compression on your head(the bass combined with tight fit) they sound great , I cannot really wear mine for much over 40 min.

You really need a small head and like large amounts of bass.

4 out of 5 eggsRap Headphone

Pros: It is good for rap music and comfortable on ear. I use it about half year. So far so good.

Cons: Don't try to use for classical music. You will be disappoint. Monster is not good at other music.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome find

Pros: Comfort, looks, removeable/replacable cord, in line mic, sound, price. $43!!! for great sound. I love well balanced music. These headphones are super crisp. You can hear everything. Able to turn down the volume very low and still hear everything clearly. Good bass but not overwhelming, not into that. But if want to really feel the bass you will if you turn up the volume. Mic appears to work well with phone calls.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsjust...so good

Pros: This head phone was created to compete with DrDre Solo. This headphone is really a bang for buck item that you never want to miss. Besides, the quality is nothing to complain about. So good from the first time I've used it until now.

Cons: Can't think

Other Thoughts: My music genre: Dubstep, chillstep, piano (classic). I love music with sadness or motivation for my mood and working out time. Fyi, I'm currently owning a 1000$ customized music speaker system. I'm not some random amateur music listener.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: If you hear someone say these headphones are not good they are just fanboys of something else. These headphones are great! I own five different sets of other top brand headphones from Sony to bose and bought my daughter Beats pro, and the N-Tune sounds better! I was a little surprised by that but monster does make great headphones. The sound is tight and precise bass is banging! The clarity is awesome. I'm not a fanboy of anything, what's good is good and what's great is great and these are a great buy, and I got them at a steal! $59.97 The best price I ever had for monster headphones.

Cons: Only downside is they can hurt your ears if you wearing earrings.

5 out of 5 eggsI Like for gaming

Pros: Comfortable, I can wear them for hours. Ear pads are nice and soft. Great all around sound and nice bass. Cord unplugs from the phones and has a built in mic. Nice packaging. Well worth the Shell Shocker price but not sure about full retail. 50% retail is about right. See "other thoughts"

Cons: Short 3' cord and if you want to replace it with a longer cord with the same quality and mic, it will cost you about $30

Other Thoughts: I don't listen to a lot of music but they're great for games. I have these paired with a Sound Blaster Recon 3D Fatal1ty sound card which puts out 600 AMP for headphones and they are awesome for gaming. You can hear things that you will not hear with 5.1 surround. There's all kind of background noises and voices and action that your not hearing without these

4 out of 5 eggsSatisfied

Pros: I don't know if the other two got bad headphones because the first set I got had a crackle sometimes in the right ear cup. I exchanged them and received a good pair. These things have an awesome sound. I own all the models of Beats except for the Monster Executive's. The sound is great high are fine and mids just right with powerful bass. I used the on an stereo amp and cracked it with no distortion or cracking.

Cons: Build seems durable but they do make a cracking sound if you squeeze the cups. Not the best build but seem like they will hold up.

No case included.

Other Thoughts: These may not be for everyone but they are fine and I own Bose, Sennheiser, Bower and Wilkens, Polk, all The Beats, Altec Lansing, Able Planet, Audio Technica's, and JVC to name a few.

1 out of 5 eggsDisappointing Monster

Pros: After reading the glowing reviews I bought 2 of these from Newegg. The construction is sturdy, the fit is snug but it does get tiring after a few minutes and even painful after about 20 minutes. I absolutely love the removable cable!

Cons: The sound was very disappointing. Presented a very heavy bottom, some good mid and terrible high response.
Ran these straight from my iPhone with Apple Lossless tracks. Things improved slightly when I added my HeadRoom Total BitHead as the amp. The Total BitHead seems to improve any headphones. I must say these can really handle ample volume with very little distortion.

Even with the BitHead these still sounded awfull. I bought two with the idea of gifting one. I'm returning both (eating the restocking fee and shipping) as I'm embarrassed to give these away for free.

I have several Monster headphones which I used in comparison here. Everything I tried to love these headphones failed.

2 out of 5 eggsno monster

Pros: none

Cons: Had these for about a week, not what i was expecting from monster. Sound was not full, bass started to crack if turned up very much at all.

Other Thoughts: Knew i should have stuck with Soul, which is much better build and sound quality, currently have the sl99 earbuds and got the sl300 headphones yesterday. Both awesome!!
