Great webcam
- Pros: Built-in mic, easy to install, easy to mount, small, and easily adjustable.
- Cons: Sometimes "hangs" when using it, not the greatest of quality, and the light quality can get pretty dark if using it in a dark room.
- Other Thoughts: Not really a "you get what you pay for." It gets the job done for what you want, and as long as you are in a well-lit room, you should be just fine. In the year and month I've had it it has never given me any major troubles at all (besides the "hanging" that happens not that often). But for its price it's an excellent webcam.
Great for the price
- Pros: - Works fine
- Snapshot button on the side - Built in Mic works well (as long as the program you're using doesn't have bad voice quality) - Fit on my wide screen LCD just fine - For once HP's driver's aren't bloated and ineffeciant - Completly pointless but fun filters - 64 bit compadable (works on my main desktop, which has Windows Vista 64 Bit Buisness SP1) - Little green LED to indicate it's on - Fully adjustable - Good image quality
- Cons: - Could not get this to work on my laptop, though that was using downloaded drivers, as my laptop is old (1GHz Pentium 3 ): and has a broken DVD drive, and I didn't have my external USB CD drive, also my laptop is starting to break down so the USB hub may have had something wrong with it. My laptop runs Windows XP Professional 32 bit
- There's a delay in video (and I know it's not my desktop's fault) unless you lower the exposure time, which lowers the brightness - The webcam restarts every once and a while in skype, although it isn't much of a problem as it's just a one second restart time
- Other Thoughts: If you're looking for a cheap webcam that works well, get this one.
not so hot
- Pros: Looks cool, fit flat screen well and could rotate
- Cons: Worked on it for 2 hours with 2 different computers (vista 32 bit). It never worked. I install lots of hardware for customers. Maybe I just got a DOA one? Don't know.
