  • Works on surfaces where other optical mice don't: glossy surfaces, opaque glass, textured surfaces, wood, etc.
  • More exact tracking of the Laser Mouse compared to Optical Mouse The area used in tracking is more defined since it detects smaller changes in surface texture
  • Less power used with better low power and low voltage settings with the laser
  • More responsive to movements due to optimization to limit the lags and latencies
  • Possible Lower costs and better DPI in the future since the market for Laser Mice is increasing for mainstream users compared to mainly a Retail/Gamer market

1 out of 5 eggsOh.

Pros: Flickable, laser tracks on just about anything.
Good for about half a year of moderate use.

(I'm a very quiet typist and a light clicker. Don't expect it to last longer just because you aren't hamfisted.)

Cons: It's been, what, half a year? My left mouse went from perfectly fine to doubleclicking about 50% of the time I press it within a matter of a few days as of about a week ago.
It really, really doesn't help there's no obvious way to take this thing apart.
...Oh well. It lasted me exactly as long as I needed it to. I can get a much better mouse now.

4 out of 5 eggsMost flickability for the price

Pros: *Cheap!
*Very lightweight. Some people want the feel of a heavy mouse. I'm not one of those people. I want my mouse as light and maneuver as possible, which is what this is.
*Claw grip is fantastic. It's somewhat on the small side, making it easier to move with your fingertips if that's how you use mice. The lower weight contributes to this as well.
*Laser sensor! For practically nothing, you get an 800 dpi laser sensor. I've put it through its paces, and if you just want something durable that can still pop heads accurately or crank out a few hundred apm, this mouse is absolutely perfect. Anything not laser is inferior to this.
*Not ugly! If you're into that sort of thing. The design is smooth and simple. It doesn't look like a training shoe.

Cons: *No custom anything. No drivers. No custom DPI. No custom polling rate (stuck by default at 125hz.) But if you know what you're doing and care about that, you'll fix that; if you don't, it's still better than a similarly priced optical.
*NO documentation. It came with 3 papers. One tells me what the warranty is (1 year) and how to break it. The other two tell me how hazardous it is for me to throw it in the trash. Nothing tells me where the screw holes are or what on earth that slot on the underside is for; or if I can open my mouse with it; or if I can, which direction I should push on it. I tried. I stopped wanting to risk it.
*Very few buttons. But you looked at a 2 button mouse to begin with, so that doesn't bother you, does it? That's why we have keyboards.
*Speaking of buttons, mouse wheel protrudes from the surface a little less than I would've liked, making it a little difficult to click in a panic situation if you have nails. Not being able to disassemble the case and remove the spring to lighten the action compounds this problem.

But overall, my complaints are very minor.

Other Thoughts: Yeah, you get what you pay for. But if you want to pay this much, this is exactly the thing you want to spend it on. Either that or shell out 4x as much for a truly dedicated gaming claw mouse.

4 out of 5 eggsok mouse

Pros: Good tracking
Simple
Cheap

Cons: Stiff cord
3 glider pads instead of 4 (not too stable)

Other Thoughts: The middle wheel can be pressed as a button even tho it says "2 button"
Much better than the cheap optical mice i've tried IE: dell (rebranded logitech)
I'm tired of having to pay $50+ for a good laser sensors, then having to deal with half a dozen buttons I don't need/want getting in my way. Simple mice are the best. Optical sensors are pathetic.

4 out of 5 eggsBasic, solid mouse

Pros: What can I say? It's just a decent, solid mouse. It's mid-sized, light, moves and tracks well, has a reasonable DPI rating, and is pretty durable. I had a nearly identical logitech mouse that lasted many, many years and I plan to get just as many out of this one.

Cons: About as basic as it gets. Only 3 buttons, no special software, really nothing special about it.

Other Thoughts: This mouse is not for enthusiasts or hardcore gamers who rely on lots of features to enhance their gameplay.

For general users this mouse is wonderful, and for gamers like me who can match up with the pros with barebones basic equipment and junker computers, this mouse is all I need to knock heads all day.
