2 out of 5 eggsGreat Sound But Wasn't Worth The Money

Pros: It has great sound quality. Has the option of opening the sides which does help if I want to hear the outside world. Has a decent length of cord to connect it to the PC. A little less than what you'd expect for $300.

Cons: I wanted this more for a 5.1 gaming headset but the headset where the mic plugs in broke a little over 1 year after purchasing. Decent quality construction. I only use it now to listen to music.

Other Thoughts: Not worth the money.

2 out of 5 eggsLow quality

Pros: Looks, Sound quality in games, can hear each speaker clearly.

Cons: Price
Non adjustable mic (only goes forward and back)
Mic metal is low quality and wears through within months adding static to all outgoing audio.
Headset is held together in key areas with glue instead of being solid plastic.
Headset is not adjustable for different size heads and will just break into 3 pieces over time if you have a big head.
2 speakers broke within months of use, though support did give me a replacement, months later that was broken too from regular use.

2 out of 5 eggsUgh

Pros: They actually hook up to your soundcard, not a usb connection. The control box is pretty sweet and lets you know which speakers are active. The mic works very well.

Cons: Ugly
Unconfortable after moderate gaming sessions.
You have to really fiddle with EQ to get them to sound good, though once you do they sound great, until...
My rear right speaker is MUCH louder than the others. My center speaker is dead. This is a 200 dollar headset. They shouldnt break that easily. Absolutely not worth the money and I certainly wont be buying Psyko again.

Other Thoughts: Yea don't buy anything from this company, they suck.

3 out of 5 eggsInteresting Technology

Pros: Sound Quality for gaming incredible

Bass is wonderful.

True surround sound, none of that simulated 5.1 or 7.1 junk

Has its own little amp, which controls overall volume and bass level which is very helpful when in game.

The actual earpieces are confortable, they fit over the ear nice, and the plastic sides of them move so that it works more like speakers rather than headphone if that makes sense (takes away the sound canceling which can make things more comfortable for extended gaming, or when the wife is yelling at you)

Sounds repetitively good out of the box, and is easy to set up from there. (see other thoughts)

Cons: These headsets are HEAVY. Many others reviewers have noticed that and it is so true. Unfortunately it isn't a heavy to get used to either, there just plain uncomfortable. Minus 1 egg.

Sound quality for anything, and I mean ANYTHING other than gaming is terrible, (I do realize that psyko made it clear that these are gaming only, but for the price I did not expect sound that is bested by 30 dollar headphones.) Minus half an egg.

The price on these are obscene, there are plenty of other brands out there with competitive products for a fraction of the price. Minus half an egg.

Overall doesn't help a ton for gaming, unless your a camper.

For 200 bucks there are alot of better things to buy to increase ones gaming experience.

I always listen to my music quietly, especially when its over/in ear, but these are definitely lacking, and because of the way its made, other people in the same room can hear whatever you listening to quite clearly (see other thoughts)

Other Thoughts: The technology on these are really interesting. For those that don't know the actual speakers are on top (which is why they are so darn heavy) and the sound from those speakers is channeled down through the plastic piece between the top and the earpieces. Thats why people can hear it across the room, when its at a normal listening level. I have no idea how this works, but its cool that it does. The plastic piece on the sides of the earpieces rotate, which can make them like traditional speakers so that you can listen to people talk.

I ended up returning them and getting a keyboard instead. That actually made a difference in my k/d without making my neck soar.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat headset

Pros: great all around headset
easy set up

Cons: only 1 con really i had to tweak the mic volume slightly cause it is slightly quieter than my last headset but that's my own issue. the only other thing that some people may not like is that they are slightly heavier so some may not like that but wasn't a huge issue for me and i dont even notice anymore.

Other Thoughts: I'm not sure what anyone is talking about i have no problem with these headphones period. good for music, awesome for gaming, and i have never experienced any problems with crackling. i have owned these for around 5 months now.

5 out of 5 eggsGaming head set duhhhhh

Pros: This is for gaming a lot of people said the audio is bad and there cheep headsets work better. that's because they are designed for MUSIC. This headset allows you to feel in control of your players senses, when I use these I feel like I'm in the game and I know my surroundings, From telling how many people is above or below you how far people are away. THIS IS TOP OF THE LINE

Cons: People stop saying that music sucks, If you play games with music as in first person shooters why get super good headphones to hear quite things and just block it out.

Other Thoughts: Get, RAZER ORCA 3.5mm Circumaural Headphone for more music then gaming it sounds amazing for music.

1 out of 5 eggsNot Impressed with Psyko 5.1

Pros: Soft headset, with a nice feel on the top of the head and the ears.

Cons: The headset is so top heavy it feels like it going to fall off if I lean over to look at my keyboard or a piece of paper. The sound quality was very unimpressive. I saw so many reviews talking about how good the quality was, but I didn't hear it. I even had a friend try them on my system and his own and he felt the say way. Maybe I just had a bad set, but with NewEgg charging a small fortune to return with the RMA, I don't want to waste my time and possibly more money trying out a second pair.

Other Thoughts: I order quite a bit from NewEgg and you would think they would stand by their products when it comes to quality dissatisfaction, but obviously that's not something they feel they have to do.

4 out of 5 eggsGaming Headset

Pros: This is an extremely accurate headset. The staging is excellent, delivers exactly what they say.
The venting on the side with the clear covers is nice, will keep ears cool.

Cons: For the price I would have like to see better sound quality for music. Very large and heavy. I have somewhat of a big head, first time I put this on it was very tight and uncomfortable. Takes some getting used to with size and weight.

Other Thoughts: This is a GAMING HEADSET! It is not advertised for audiophile music lovers. Psyko has an excellent support line. When you plug the mic in make sure it is all the way in "should be silver to silver". If you want a very good gaming headset this is the way to go.

2 out of 5 eggsNot impressed

Pros: Didn't see any pros in this item

Cons: Heavy,uncomfortable,weak sounding.

Other Thoughts: I have used various headphones over the years, and this pair gets the award for worst. The 5.1 experience is very lacking, and the unit is uncomfortable. Mind you,I tried various setups in trying to dial these headphones in,but to no avail.

IMO,my TB 5.1 headphones far outshine these. And when I purchased em a few years back, they only cost 50 bucks.

Don't waste your money folks,it's a waste,if looking for true 5.1 surround sound. Much better options to be had,for less dough.

1 out of 5 eggsLook elsewhere.

Pros: Excellent 3D positioning. The headphones definitely deliver on this promise.

Cons: Horrible sound quality. Totally sounds like you're listening to sound being funneled through a plastic tube into a big plastic chamber. Cheap feeling & looking construction. Sounds are occasionally crackily sounding. Absolutely unacceptable for any headset that costs over $30. Given the option to use this with my xfi titanium fatal1ty pro soundcard or a cheap USB headset that you can pick up off the shelf at your local electronics store, I'd honestly go with the latter.

Extermely uncomfortable -- these things are heavy and poorly padded. You will get sore spots on the top of your head if you wear these things for any extensive period of time (like... more than an hour.) They'll make your head feel very top-heavy. I'd be inclined to guess that no other headphone manufactures have used this design moreso because of how poor the user experience is than because of any innovation involved in their "true 5.1" technology, rather than because the notion had slipped by them. Not worth the $.

Other Thoughts: I used 'em for a little over a day, and was absolutely disgusted that I'd paid such a gross amount of money for such a bad product. I'm surprised that others have given such good reviews. The only thing that they have going for them is that the *do* provide excellent 3d positioning. When gaming, it's very easy to tell where things are coming from. However, I've experienced similarly accurate positioning from other cheaper headsets without sacrificing the sound quality. Don't get sucked in by the gimmicky patented technology -- there are much better headphones out there!
