4 out of 5 eggsNot Bad for the Price

Pros: It does what you pay for. Not the best quality video but not terrible. I could never get the microphone in it to work but I never intended to use it anyway.

Cons: In a 4:3 format

1 out of 5 eggsBad Cameras

Pros: Bought these in 2010.

Cons: Worst on the market, horrible video quality, horrible lag, such a cheap build, all plasticky, cracks at a fall. Over all bad and should have been avoided.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Good video, good audio, What else do you want? Yet to have any issue with it

Cons: don't know why they put those light's in. But who cares, don't like them don't turn them on.

Other Thoughts: If anyone I knew was in the market for a webcam this is what I'd tell them to get

2 out of 5 eggsThe worst I've ever used

Pros: It actually captures video. The LEDs are bright enough to illuminate anything you could possibly want to. Long enough cord.

Cons: The clip does not hold it to the monitor unless you use tape - it just opens and falls whenever it feels like it.
The picture is grainy at best.
There is no way to focus the camera at all. When I tried to manually adjust it by twisting the lens like the directions specified, the picture became so permanently grainy that it rendered the camera unusable.
The blindingly bright white LEDs are not something that you can turn off (no matter what the directions say), so don't look directly into the camera.
It came with no software to even direct use of the camera, so you're left reading the back of the minimal packaging it came with if you hope to understand how to use it.
That button on the top the package says you can press to take a picture? Oh yeah. That doesn't work. At all. Ever. I think it's there for decoration.

Other Thoughts: I received this as a Christmas Gift from my mother (I'm not sure where she got it or how she even knew what it was). It was about as good to me for my computer as a lump of coal would have been.
Seriously, it captures video but not well. You barely get what you pay for on this.
I'm only even rating it a two because at least it turns on when you plug it in.
This is seriously the most frustrating piece of hardware I've ever used on any computer.

3 out of 5 eggsNo such thing as driverless

Pros: It does work with several flavors of Linux through VLC.

Cons: There is no such thing as hardware that doesn't need a driver, and if you use an old OS there is no clue anywhere (that I have found so far) as to which driver or chip is used for functionality.

Other Thoughts: Perhaps there would be less confusion and difficulty if these "manufacturers" would stop hiding behind Newegg's anonymity. There is a simple driver out there somewhere, but IMC refuses to give its customers any help of access.

1 out of 5 eggsJunk

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Cheap. first one smoked after plugging in, second one the LED's don't work and can't RMA because its been over 30 days. Total loss at this point. Don't buy!

4 out of 5 eggsfine at 640x480

Pros: works. compatible with Linux, macos

Cons: I haven't been able to make it go over 640x480. Maybe that's the actual sensor size and anything else is software nonsense. I hate how everyone obscures this.

Other Thoughts: I wish someone made an actual high res (5MP - 8MP) sensor webcam using the parts that must be common and cheap from being in phones.

1 out of 5 eggsCheap and Useless

Pros: None, it never properly worked.

Cons: The camera never properly worked. It would install itself on the machine once plugged in, but regardless it would never even power on or show any other sign that it was even connected to the computer. I have tried, with the exact same results, on three seperate PCs. There is a panel on the top of the device that seems to be a button, as it wiggles and moves, but this button doesn't do anything and seems to be broken and it says depressed at all times. There were also no instructions in the box that indicated doing anything but plugging it into my computer.

Other Thoughts: Overall, even if the camera was functional, it feels cheap and the stand feels like it will break off whenever it is manipulated.
