5 out of 5 eggsBest Earbuds I've Owned

Pros: I put these earbuds through hundreds of miles of running and sweat and after about 2 years they are finally dying.

Amazing sound quality!

Has great bass and sound (assuming you use the canal inserts that best seal inside your ear). Also doesn't let the sound escape.

The retention wire that wraps the buds around your ears works extremely well coupled with the strain relief clip on the cord.

Cons: Only worth the purchase price if you get them on sale.

About 1.5 years into owning them the plastic retainer clip broke, leaving me to use a binder clip for strain relief.

The left ear bud has attenuated itself so the sound is lopsided. Granted both buds are rusted inside and have seen ridiculous exposure to sweat moisture and the environment.

You'll need to scrape your earwax out of the rubber ear seals after every run. Best to wait till it hardens. Gross I know but just part of it.

Other Thoughts: I'm a runner and was looking for a decently priced set of ear buds with great sound quality that wouldn't keep falling out of my ears. When these are %60 off, they are an amazing deal and well worth the price. I would not purchase these or any ear bud for what these cost originally, that's just too much for something so small and electronically simple.

4 out of 5 eggsExcellent Deal for the Money

Pros: CONSTRUCTION AND ACCESSORIES:
The construction quality of these seems durable, the over ear wire clip works very well for holding the buds in place while still being comfortable. The included case and multiple ear tip options are much appreciated and of seemingly good quality.
SOUND QUALITY:
After a burn in period (the manual suggests one and I would highly recommend it before assessing sound quality), the bass response of the buds is quite reasonable, but not out of this world. If you are looking for extreme bass, these will not fit the bill, but if you are looking for a more balanced sound spectrum these will do nicely. The highs are usually good but see the cons section for more notes on the subject.

Cons: The wire does tangle easily, but it is fairly thick and seems durable so I would not complain too much about it.
The sound performance is lacking somewhat in the high range. Normally, highs come through just fine, but in certain songs, the 3-6kHz range becomes disproportionately loud to the point of significant annoyance. This may or may not be the fault of the buds, I am using them in my computer (Realtek sound chip I believe) with Winamp music player when I sometimes get the distortion. Adjusting the equalizer gets rid of this problem for most songs and I have never noticed any distortion problems when using the buds to watch movies on my computer. Again, this problem only occurs with just a few of my songs, the majority of the time the highs are just fine.

Other Thoughts: Two things are important for using these buds correctly:
Initial Burn In: either set the buds to run pink noise for several hours or just use them for while before passing your final judgement on the bud's sound quality.
Find The Right Eartip Fit: this is critical to getting proper bass response, try several different eartips to find the ones best suited for your ears otherwise the buds will not seal properly with the ear canal and the bass will be lost.

1 out of 5 eggsworst earbuds

Pros: came with a bunch of caps...

Cons: ..and soon you'd realize that they are all rubbish-none of them fits!
My hobby is music-I mix and play etc. I have used hundreds of headphones in my life but these are exceptional garbage.
Sound SUCKS! way too much hi and almost no bass...lack of volume.
I bought them cos I needed something for the gym-the hook-like design will keep the garbage on your ears...but that doesn't mean you'd be able to hear anything-just because the bud like I said doesn't make any contact with your ear canal (I tried all of them)-the buds are made out of cheap hard plastic - almost like sticking a pen cap in your ears-ENJOY THAT
please don't waste your money on these
Writing reviews is not my thing-but I had to do it-just because every time i use one of these buds to hear the news-I get angry...oh and clip (someone said it was a great idea) just broke

1 out of 5 eggsTerrible Sound !!!

Pros: Absolutely ZERO.

Cons: Overall tinny sound, even after equalization !! That's bad !! Plus, the design of the buds themselves are very poor. They will pop out very easily and never feel as if they have a snug fit. Not worth the trouble of returning. Extremely disappointed in this product !!!

2 out of 5 eggsSounded good, but stopped working after a month or so

Pros: Good sound quality
Buds fit my ears well
Kept a lot of outside noise out

Cons: Left side shorted out after just over a month... I am one to take good care of my equipment, was working fine, set it on my desk, came back, left ear is dead.

3 out of 5 eggsThe best so far

Pros: These are awesome, they have two style of plugs. A shooter style ear plug and a regular ear bud plug. Great versatility. Great sound and great noise reduction. Very limited wind noise while riding a bike.

Cons: Does not come with a braided cord as what you would think. The cord is braided with a plastic coating. I originally bought this thinking it was a braided cord, since i like to tuck the cord under my shirt while bike riding. If you do this, you know that braided cords dont stick to your skin. This one looks braided, but it has a clear plastic coat on it. So it will stick to your skin. It's not as bad as some of my other ear buds i have used.

Other Thoughts: I have gone through dozens of ear buds, as so far these are my second best ones. They stay in my ears most of the time and have great sound. Once i start sweating alot, they start to fall out, but i can usually get about a hour bike ride prior to them starting to slide out. i just pull over, wipe them with my shirt and continue on.

5 out of 5 eggsJust wonderful

Pros: - Multiple fitting options including single, double and triple buds for a better seal on all types of ears.

- KILLER sound, plenty of room in the mix which is very rare for an In ear headphone sub 200 dollars

- Very high quality cable

- Gold plated 3.5 trs

Cons: Shirt clip is a bit low, but hardly something to ruin your day.

Other Thoughts: I am an Audio Production engineer who was looking for some reasonable headphones for the gym, (Not going to bring a pair of 1-200 dollar headphones into that environment) I ordered these, and they are just great, multiple fitting options and just a great range of sound. a joy to listen too!

1 out of 5 eggsBad connectiion after 1 week

Pros: 6 dfferent ear pieces
clip
Strenghtened wiring near earbuds

Cons: Wiring

Other Thoughts: I've been using these for about a week, just discovered a problem with the wiring near the 3.5mm jack. Wire needs to be bent at a certain angle to get audio. Will try to return to newegg.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat buds for cheap price

Pros: Like what many other ratings have said, make sure you try on all the buds to see which ones fit your ear best. In my opinion, the tri-flange aren't the best, and are meant for really narrow ears. But once you play around, these earphones seem to be worth at least twice now ($23 when I got these). The length is perfect, fit is secure, so it's been no hassle when using it in the gym.

Cons: None at the moment.
