4 out of 5 eggsGood for free

Pros: These came free with a purchase with my monitor. I figured that they would be terrible but I was wrong I use them everyday for the most part.Above average sound quality and the have a real nice build to them. I would not pay for these if they were more than $20.

Cons: none

2 out of 5 eggsGood sound-bad wiring

Pros: Sound is good for headphones in this price range, worked with every device i used

Cons: I've owned around 5 me-electronics ear bud sets, all of them different models, and after about three months of moderate use, one ear bud always goes dead

Other Thoughts: if your a huge fan of this brand, the m6 model seams to outlast the others by a couple of months. i tried wrapping all of these models up differently and the wiring still went bad, so i would steer clear

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: These came free with a recent build I made, I looked at them at thought, "Well, thanks for the freebies I'll never use them." I couldn't be more wrong. The sound is incredible! Outside noise is virtually blocked out and the bass just absolutely thumps! Who says you need air traffic controller sized headphones for great sound, these rock.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Included are numerous ends in case the attached ones don't fit or get worn out. Also included is a spiffy case.

1 out of 5 eggsTin

Pros: Newegg was giving them away free.

Cons: TIN doesn't begin to describe the sound.

Other Thoughts: Newegg was giving these away, and they are worth every penny I spent. I'm honestly tempted to send them back, they are that bad.

3 out of 5 eggsWeird

Pros: Good bass

Cons: Really squaky hollow sound. I was able to get them to sound ok by using the graphic equalizer but it was weird because changing the treble seem to affect the bass and the mid tones would be off. I had one bar up the next down, the next up, and the next down just to get them to sound ok. The Bass is really good though.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks!

Pros: I got these IEMs for free with a monitor I puchased so I did no "reading" or research on quality IEMs. But when I got these they came in a nice little pouch for good storage, nice unexpected bonus. They fit well in my hears and the sound is fine... but I'm not audiophile. Given I paid $0 for them, I'm pretty happy.

Cons: 1. The soft-rubber in-ear piece kind flips inside out when I take them out. Probably because I put them in too hard or something. Not a huge deal though.
2. The wire feels cheap, which means, I don't know how long they will last me. The wire is kind of short too: Good for phone (i.e. pocket) to head distances, less good for desktop to head distances.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat IEMs (on sale)

Pros: - above average sound (for the pricepoint).
- metal housing, well built overall and very similar to other meelec designs.
- good cable stress relief.
- comes with all the usual meelec accessories - case, shirt clip, 4 different earpieces (S, M, L, and double flange).

Cons: - the 45 degree angle makes these bulkier than some other IEMs, and makes it harder for me to get a good seal in my ear. It also makes it nearly impossible for me to use them in an over-the-ear configuration. YMMV.
- the cable covering tangles more easily than other meelec offerings, and more noise from the cable rubbing on a shirt or whatever else (microphonics) seems to come through than their other deisgns.

Other Thoughts: Meelectronics has been known for a while now as a company that makes great budget IEMs, and these are no different. I'm not a real audiophile by any stretch and am not even gonna try to compare details like soundstage or airiness or anything, but generally comparing how these earbuds sound overall to some of Meelec's other designs, they seem pretty similar to the M9s. Construction quality is similar. I'd say they are about 25% larger than the M9's due to the 45 degree angle and a larger housing.

I got these on sale for ten bucks each and free shipping, and at that price I'd say they are a steal. Even at 15 they would be a good buy. At full price however I'm not sure they are worth it, when you can buy Meelec's awesome M9 or M6 models with similar sound for about half that elsewhere online.

In short, buy these if they are on sale, but maybe look at some other meelec offerings if these are at full price. At ten or 15 bucks these are a 5 star, but at full price they are more of a 4 because of the issues I mentioned.

3 out of 5 eggsDecent if you catch them on sale

Pros: Ok quality. Not as good as my Sennheisers

Cons: Don't like having left and right being same length from Y. Hard to tell which is which. Prefer one side to be longer.

Other Thoughts: Overall they're ok, especially if you catch them for fifteen bucks like I did. Bought 3 pair and just stashed them various places as backup for when I forget my Sennheisers.

5 out of 5 eggsAWESOME

Pros: The sound quality is great. I got these during a promotional deal for $15. I just needed to get some cheap head phones but after plugging them in and getting pounded with deep bass i fell in love with these headphones. The sound is clear as well. The Ear buds are very comfortable other replacements rubber covers came in the package for smaller or larger ears. I would definitely buy these again even at full price.

Cons: None!

Other Thoughts: I did a sound check with some Dre beats. I expected the Dre beats to destroy these head phones but I like the sound qualitly from these head phones.
