5 out of 5 eggsGreat bluetooth over the ear headphones for 60 dollars

This review is from: MEElectronics Air-Fi Venture Bluetooth Over-Ear Headphone ( Second Generation)

Pros: - Works very well with all iOS devices and Macs
- Pairing is straightforward
- Sound quality is generally good
- Long battery life
- iOS devices tell me remaining battery available

Been using it for almost 2 years

Cons: - The status sounds are loud and sometimes painful, in particular the pairing confirmation and the low battery sounds. The low battery sounds make it unusable as they keep coming every minute or so.

Other Thoughts: - Not sure if this is a problem with other bluetooth and wireless headsets, but every once in a while I can feel the tempo of the music/sound change. It seems like the headsets are trying to adjust seamlessly when the audio stream data is not coming in fast enough.

- This is likely a problem with other over the ear headphones, but after prolonged use my ears tend to get hot and sweaty. That said, for over the ear headsets these don't put a lot of pressure on the ears and are generally comfortable for long periods.

- When it's operating there is a blinking blue LED. At night with the lights out, it tends to strobe the room mildly every few seconds. Would be nice without it or if we could just turn it off optionally.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent sound reproduction

This review is from: MEElectronics Air-Fi Venture Bluetooth Over-Ear Headphone ( Second Generation)

Pros: paired with Asus usb Bluetooth unit in desktop PC. Easy to pair, great sound for the money. Comfortable to wear for hours. Over the ear design blocks out a lot of ambient noise. Good range from PC.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: To me, the sound is as good as the expensive Bluetooth headphone sets at a fraction of he cost ($60). Controls are easy to use, easy to pair with sending unit. Perfect in the office when I need to concentrate. Even without playing music, they block a lot of the talking around me.

5 out of 5 eggsGet them if they go on sale

This review is from: MEElectronics Air-Fi Venture Bluetooth Over-Ear Headphone ( Second Generation)

Pros: Comfort- I've owned DT770 pros, K701's, and quite a few other headphones. While these are not the most comfortable ones I've ever worn. They're still pretty nice. They don't put any pressure on my ears or the top of my head and their fit is similar to logitech G930 if you've owned a pair of those, the build quality is around the same as the G930 as well. I can easily wear these headphones for around six hours before my ears start to feel warm. Very happy owner.

Sound- The sound is astonishingly good for bluetooth headphones, I used samsungs adapt sound to measure how flat their graph was and I was pleased with the result. While these will not rattle your head with bass, you can still tell it's there. Very warm and pronounced. The bass is a bit round but I still enjoy it very much. Mids and highs are exactly where you'd want them to be.
Battery life- I haven't delved into just how long they'll last without a charge because I rely on them for work. That being said I can work all day and not need to charge them... when I'm not wearing them I just hook up the microusb cable and let them juice up.

Cons: DO NOT USE WITH THE BUILT IN MIC!

when I tested out the mic that's built in with these I lost the quality sound these produce, and the mic's pretty poor itself. Interestingly enough when you choose to not use the mic as your input device on your pc the audio goes back to being pretty incredible.

Other Thoughts: $119 is too steep for these headphones, I pick up my pair open box for $50. I did have to open up the headphones and solder a disconnected wire in the right speaker. But if you know what your doing it was painless and simple.

5 out of 5 eggsExceeded my expectations greatly

This review is from: MEElectronics Air-Fi Venture Bluetooth Over-Ear Headphone ( Second Generation)

Pros: -Battery life is very long. Lasts me almost 12 days at the gym for my 75 minute workouts
-charges very quickly
-bluetooth connects easily and smoothly
-sound is much better than i expected. The ranges are perfect, very deep base. Thats the advantage you get with the 40mm drivers.
-all day comfortable. adjustable headband, i never got a sore head or ears.
-not overly huge and bulky, but big enough to fit over my larger sized ears

Cons: -looks cheap on the outside

Other Thoughts: I wear these every day doing homework and going to the gym. on avg they get used 3-4 hours a day and i must say theyre incredible.

4 out of 5 eggsSo far, so good

This review is from: MEElectronics Air-Fi Venture Bluetooth Over-Ear Headphone ( Second Generation)

Pros: These thing are much better than the on-the-ear Bluetooth headset that I had. Better range, sound, and comfort. I mainly use these at my work place (a cube city). I can walk away from my audio source (80ft) and still get great reception (that's thru 10 metal walled cubes and metal stud walls). This is not a noise canceling headset. But, they do help reduce the background talking that I normally can hear in the cube farm. Sound is pretty good for $60 bucks. I compared them to our $250 Plantroic's headset here at work, glad I saved the money. As far as comfort. They are nice. If it were not for the bows of my glasses, I could wear these all day. But, this is not the fault of the headset. Over all I would say I made great buy. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the size of the cups themselves. A little on the small side for me. I do have rather large ears and they don't fully cover my ears.

Cons: Other than the size issue I mentioned above, I do have one other thing to mention. I don't know if other Bluetooth headsets can o this but, I wish it would self recover the Bluetooth connection once you walk back into range. I have to walk back to my tablet and reconnect. Not an earth shattering con but, it is a pain sometimes.

5 out of 5 eggsAF-32 Bluetooth Headphones

This review is from: MEElectronics Air-Fi Venture Bluetooth Over-Ear Headphone ( Second Generation)

Pros: Works flawlessly (Found it works better with linux - Suse 12.2) than WIN 7. (Has to be coaxed into pairing) Very good fidelity. Really nice base range. Allows you to walk away without losing fidelity. Comfortable and easily adjustable to wearer

Cons: none really

Other Thoughts: Don't go near microwaves and expect this headset not to have problems: stray rf can cause the sound to break up. (But then, should you put your head THAT close to a microwave?)

3 out of 5 eggsGood, with one flaw

This review is from: MEElectronics Air-Fi Venture Bluetooth Over-Ear Headphone ( Second Generation)

Pros: Good sound quality. There is a delay of about a third of a second, but that is to be expected with a bluetooth connection. As a result, good for music, or for movies, so long as you can adjust the audio delay, but not good for gaming.

Cons: System messages are at a constant volume, regardless of the volume level. I tend to use headphones in a quiet environment, and have the volume fairly low. The system messages, informing the user when the headphones are turned on, turned off, connected, or on low battery, are then at an absurdly high volume relative to everything else. This is loud enough that it is physically painful. In particular, the low battery warning, which repeats every minute or so, makes the headphones utterly unusable while the battery is low.

1 out of 5 eggsI'm sure they'd be great if QC had tested them.

This review is from: MEElectronics Air-Fi Venture Bluetooth Over-Ear Headphone ( Second Generation)

Pros: The parts that actually worked did what they were supposed to. Acceptable at best.

Cons: No sound out of right ear... had to pay an exorbitant amount to ship back a defective product. Good quality control could have easily prevented this issue.
