Able Planet - Active Noise Canceling Headphones w/ a gifted Apple 8GB iPod Touch (3rd Gen)

Pros: The quality of the headphones is pretty good. I used them recently on a trip to Canada and back with 5 flights in the entire process. The noise cancelation was really good. The entire flight back I just put them on with no MP3 player, turned the noise cancellation on and went to sleep.

Cons: My main problem is that the part about being a 3rd generation Ipod Touch was a lie. I have it unopened, and have checked the model number against Apple's website after reading the other reviews, and it is indeed a 2nd generation Ipod.

I've been talking to Newegg's customer service about it but there have been significant delays in them getting back to me about a resolution to the issue. If you are buying this as a value to get the headphones and the Ipod, DON'T. Go with buying items individually and ensure you are getting just what you want.

Other Thoughts: Personally, I'm a fan of the Archos Android style MP3 players. I thought I'd get the Ipod since I found some software to get the music on there without using Itunes. But I didn't even get the right Ipod.

Pros: Great sounding headphones. Previously had the Jabra C820s noise cancelling headphones, and these are definitely better.

Cons: It says it comes with a 3rd Gen iPod...the one I got was actually a 2nd Gen

Pros: * These were my first pair of headphones with noise cancelling. It works great, excellent on a college campus near traffic. It's a strange feeling hearing things go silent when you turn them on.
* The cord is removable, making it replaceable. An excellent feature.
* Sound quality is decent.

Cons: * Headphones do get uncomfortable after a rather short amount of time wearing them. I do have larger than average ears, which could be part of the problem.
* Sound quality is not amazing, as I'd hoped from the price. Not something I'd use for studio mixing. Sound is a bit muffled at lower volumes, when the noise cancelling is off.
* Price. I got a pair of the headphones for much cheaper than listed here, and I'd only call that a fair deal.

Other Thoughts: Got these on Woot! for $49.99 + $5.00 shipping. Great deal there, but definitely not worth it for this price.

My other headphones are the Creative Fatal1ty (non-USB) headphones (for gaming). I bought this pair to replace my (dead) Creative Aurvana Live! headphones, and I'd put all three on the same level for audio quality.

Pros: Yes it was a New Sep 2008 2nd Gen iPod Touch 2 year old model.

But nothing in the Special Deal about it being a 2 year old 2nd Gen mode - Don't - Buy !

Cons: There was nothing in there Ad saying What Generation this iPod was ! 1st - 2nd - 3rd-4th ?

A very misleading Special Deal Ad ! - Don't Buy ! 2nd Gen Model

A New 2 year Old 2nd Gen Model for the same price as a New 4th Gen Model. Don't Buy !

Pros: Very high quality sound, excellent for users with hearing impairments. Spoken audio is clear without being too loud or painful. Noise cancellation doesn't get rid of everything, but it does get rid of most of the background noise. Buying through newegg was way cheaper than other sellers. Included storage box is high quality and useful for safely transferring the headset between work and home, and I look forward to testing it out on a future trip.

Cons: Expensive. Cord is shorter than my previous headphones (6ft). They sit pretty tight on the head, so if you have a very large head, it can be uncomfortable (my partner can't wear them, but they're comfortable for me).

Other Thoughts: For the first time, I was able to hear and understand the words spoken in an online video that was suggested viewing for my work. I nearly cried--after months of straining to hear it, asking for transcripts and being refused... and then buying a pair of headphones and finding that Yes, they DO WORK! And they work well. It's amazing. I'd suggest these headphones to anyone and everyone. The product lives up to its promise of serving users with hearing impairments. The included 8GB 2nd gen iPod touch is nice bonus, but definitely not as nice as the headphones. I am beyond happy with my purchase.

Pros: Great deal from New Egg. Can't beat this deal. Great headphones , i am very pleased with the sound. And also 8gb I pod touch is amazing. I strongly recomend this to everybody !
