5 out of 5 eggsstate of the earbud art

Pros: Great detail, excellent bass, smooth mid, extended highs. Good sensitivity, nice compact design. Great accessory package included: case for airline and 1/4" adapter and a case that holds the numerous ear adapters with room for most mp3 players.

Cons: Price. But compared to anything else I've tried, they were a bargain at the $179 sale price from Newegg. Also, like every earbud, getting the best fit takes some experimenting, although these earbuds have made that easier than any others I've tried.

Other Thoughts: I''ve gone through more earbuds than I care to count. The Etymotics (been my favorites for a decade) are now a distant second. I'm a guitar player and I'm always searching for earbuds for monitoring. I probably buy a half dozen sets a year easily, from cheap to expensive. The search is over. When I felt as well as heard a dip in an mp3 recorded from vinyl, the verdict was sealed. Everybody has different tastes as far as audio reproduction, but these are the tastiest ones I've run into. If you want a good cheap ($20) set, try the MEElectronics AI-M2 that Newegg also sells. They're the next best thing for cheap. I really love these buds.

4 out of 5 eggsNot enuf bang for buck

Pros: Comfortus Maximus. CLarity. Cool looking. All honesty the most comfortable IEE's I have tried.

Cons: Though the sound is good and detailed and will decimate average IEE's; it's ability to handle higher volumes is crippled. Str8t up distortion not two ways about. This was done with a zune player, with and w/o a headphone amp from from

Other Thoughts: Bottom line there is NO NO NO way you should invest your money on these IEE's at this price. If they were cheaper then they could win out on supreme comfort and good sound. The competition in this price range will put ketchup and Mustard on these and eat them. Same price can get you Shure 530's.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing Sound

Pros: The sound is amazing from such a small earbud. From Lows to highs its well balanced. Very comfortable to wear for hours. I would highly recommend this set for anybody that really care about sound quality and not just loudness. From soft to loud excellent sound quality and across music types very good. From Country, classical, jazz, rock, pop, rap and easy listening this is a great set.

Cons: If any would have to be the price. Hard to read left and right in low light conditions.

Other Thoughts: Excellent for listening to music while working in the yard with power equipment and in work shop with power tools. Noise canceling is great.

5 out of 5 eggsIncredible but....

Pros: Sound Quality would have to be #1 in the Pro. I did not set out to compare, as nothing price wise are close to these, although there are great sets for about $150-199. I will explain why I would not buy these if it were my deniro in the cons and thoughts. Did I say the Sound is the most incredible I have ever heard? It is and I have been buying Headphones over ear and others since the 80s.

Cons: Price.......

Other Thoughts: I bought a two pack set from a company on an auction site of the Bose. They bose in ear retail for about $100, but one site on the net with a simple search has them for $70. While I like these a bit better for sound over the bose, the 3 sets of size ear pieces that came with the bose fit me better. For say $85 in the door, if I were buying, I would buy the bose (actually not even sold here at NewEgg) as how discerning at the most top level units can you really tell. $85 over the price of these, is 5 tanks of my lexus....

4 out of 5 eggsReally nice

Pros: Form factor. Sound quality. Accessories.
These things are really tiny. The cool factor is undeniable.
They sound really good. Before these I owned the Shure e3c. Bass output is a little less than the e3c's, but it is not bad at all. I didn't expect them to match or have better bass than the e3c's. But the sound overall is very good. The big benefit of in ear headphones is that your ears are somewhat isolated from ambient noises around you. This allows you to really enjoy a good quality sound without having to listen over other conversations and dogs barking, or whatever. I use them primarily when I fly, and they do a great job of blocking the noise from the engines while I am listening to Tool, or watching the latest diggnation.
The case that comes with them is perfect to store and ipod touch. It is a hard case that I can throw in my computer bag and not think twice about damage. There is also a Y adapter and an 1/4" adapter.

Cons: Obviously, price. It was an impulse buy for me. I don't regret it though. I didn't find the included ear pieces a perfect fit for me. Everyone's ears are different though. Luckily, the ear pieces from my e3c's fit nicely.

Other Thoughts: I know that Shure offers custom ear pieces for some of their in ear headphones. I wonder how close the fit is to the Klipsch Images? I know any of the rubber ones work fine on my Images, but the foam ones have a plastic base that 'fits' but is just a little loose.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing

Pros: These are the best headphones I have ever owned. I got them as a present and they have been one of my favorite presents ever. The sound quality is incredible as well as the feel and comfort factor. These fit perfectly into my ears and they come with many different sizes if it does not fit right out of the box. When I looked at myself in the mirror I couldn't even notice the earphones and just saw wires coming out of my ears. If I were to buy these they would be the best investment of my life.

Cons: I would say price, but I did not buy these. There is nothing else for me to critique. These are literally the best headphones I have ever crossed.

Other Thoughts: Amazing. Well worth the buy if you are an avid user of headphones.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: I have four other set's of IE's from the $60-100 range including the Bose and Sennheiser MX-300's. These are by far the most comfortable I've ever tried. It almost looks like just a cord is comming out of your ear as well. The sound quality is obviously superior to the other IE's I've tried. I am hearing things that I never heard before. And, the base is really excellent. You get a nice thumping action without distortion of the high's and mid's. I knows these are very expensive but I'm very happy about the purchase. Really Excellent IE's.

Cons: Price. And part of the high price is a loss of sound quality compared to other IE's of the same price range in exchange for a lot more comfort (or so I've read). I can't imagine the sound getting any more clear or distortion free though. :)

Other Thoughts: I managed to distort these but it took a volume so loud I could only stand it for 5 seconds. I've had them in my ears for 3 hours strait so far and you seriously forget they're in - they're so freakign comfortable! The comfort factor of these is mind blowing. FYI - It's a good idea to put some armor-all on the cords to help protect them. The cords have a nice stress relief design and the Y split and a moveable part to move the Y split up and down. Also, the larger case these come with perfectly fits a 3rd gen Ipod Nano on one half of the bottom mesh pocket.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: These things rock. They are small, very lightweight, and produce some amazing sound. I've used a variety of IEM's and these are the best by far. Comfort is amazing, I'll forget they are in my ears. These put to shame my studio monitor headphones. I heard things from these headphones where I haven't in others. They bring out the details amazingly. The highs are bright and crisp, the bass is tight and hits hard, gives you that pounding feeling within your head. I feel like I'm at a concert.

Cons: Some line cord noise if your walking around...but thats like any IEM if they don't wrap around your ear.

Other Thoughts: Some might think they are a little bright, but it's most likely from not really hearing a good set of speakers before. If you hear distortion from these, your headphone amp is too weak to drive them properly. I've cranked it up and they play clean to volumes I can't stand more then a second.

5 out of 5 eggsWOOOOOOW

Pros: Unbelievable sound clarity and quality. Imeccable ear seal... these gels aren't just some ear size. They're flared so they fit everyone, and will never lodge!! These things are tiny, comfortable, sooooo attractive to the eye, and come with the big adapter as well as an adapter for those double socket airplane headphone jacks!! The set comes with a NICE case. Magnetically closes... and comes standard with a lot of extra ear gels. WOW. This is so hawt...

Cons: I am usually the devil's advocate on everything, but I can't find anything wrong with these earphones. I mean it. NOTHING. I'll always root something out to nay-say or nitpick, but these are FLAWLESS. Can perfection be considered a con? lol!!

Other Thoughts: Don't think. Just buy. The best of the best, hands down.
