state of the earbud art
- Pros: Great detail, excellent bass, smooth mid, extended highs. Good sensitivity, nice compact design. Great accessory package included: case for airline and 1/4" adapter and a case that holds the numerous ear adapters with room for most mp3 players.
- Cons: Price. But compared to anything else I've tried, they were a bargain at the $179 sale price from Newegg. Also, like every earbud, getting the best fit takes some experimenting, although these earbuds have made that easier than any others I've tried.
- Other Thoughts: I''ve gone through more earbuds than I care to count. The Etymotics (been my favorites for a decade) are now a distant second. I'm a guitar player and I'm always searching for earbuds for monitoring. I probably buy a half dozen sets a year easily, from cheap to expensive. The search is over. When I felt as well as heard a dip in an mp3 recorded from vinyl, the verdict was sealed. Everybody has different tastes as far as audio reproduction, but these are the tastiest ones I've run into. If you want a good cheap ($20) set, try the MEElectronics AI-M2 that Newegg also sells. They're the next best thing for cheap. I really love these buds.
Not enuf bang for buck
- Pros: Comfortus Maximus. CLarity. Cool looking. All honesty the most comfortable IEE's I have tried.
- Cons: Though the sound is good and detailed and will decimate average IEE's; it's ability to handle higher volumes is crippled. Str8t up distortion not two ways about. This was done with a zune player, with and w/o a headphone amp from from headphone.com.
- Other Thoughts: Bottom line there is NO NO NO way you should invest your money on these IEE's at this price. If they were cheaper then they could win out on supreme comfort and good sound. The competition in this price range will put ketchup and Mustard on these and eat them. Same price can get you Shure 530's.
Amazing Sound
- Pros: The sound is amazing from such a small earbud. From Lows to highs its well balanced. Very comfortable to wear for hours. I would highly recommend this set for anybody that really care about sound quality and not just loudness. From soft to loud excellent sound quality and across music types very good. From Country, classical, jazz, rock, pop, rap and easy listening this is a great set.
- Cons: If any would have to be the price. Hard to read left and right in low light conditions.
- Other Thoughts: Excellent for listening to music while working in the yard with power equipment and in work shop with power tools. Noise canceling is great.
